As an Ohio State fan, im kind of in-between both of their evaluations on Will Howard. I agree with Trevor that he has the makings of a guy that can stick as a backup in the NFL. He seems to be very deliberate at spreading the ball around the field and is pretty accurate while doing so. Also having the size and legs raises his floor. But I also 100% agree with Conor when it comes to the arm. Howard can hit some deep balls if he throws them early and it travels around 30/40 air yards (like his big throws against Teneesee). But asking him to really drive the ball and throw it way down the field is not his calling card. He has been pretty terrible at the real deep balls (around 50 air yards or more) definitely better suited as a intermediate to deep range passer. He also seems to have atleast 1 pass per game that is incredibly innacurate and misses by a mile. Maybe a QB coach can really dig into his mechanics and unlock more out of his arm, but until that happens I think he is a high floor backup caliber QB. 59:53 The best draft eval I ever saw in my 10+ years of following the NFL draft process was on it was on Ewers on was this “If Quinn Ewers was in the 2011 recruiting class he would be seen a lot differently by scouts than he is by current day standards, back then he would probably would be a regular high end 4-star high school recruit that’s a boom or bust prospect and he would just be “another guy” in the eyes of the public. But with him being the next one according to high school scouts put a lot of pressure on him as well as a celebrity (though a pretty good player in his own right) is your back up is a lot of pressure on this kid, with that said, according to 247Sports, in 2021 they saw the best quarterback ever. When they evaluated him, they envisioned a world Patrick Mahomes’s style will translate into immediate success on the college and pro levels and for all systems where footwork and traditional skills no longer mattered, and backyard football and arm talent are the only things that matter at the NFL level. The reasons they deemed him their greatest QB prospect ever shows up on tape, but only in slivers and flashes. Yet, the same could be said for a good portion of high level NFL starters. Plus what makes Mahomes so great is he has all these tools but he also has timing and rhythm to his admittedly wonky mechanics down to down, Ewers timing with his mechanics is piss poor at worst and good at best, he needs to be just average every play and he will be a top 10 QB in the NFL that’s how special he can be but it hasn’t developed to this point and maybe never will, because of that maybe he should be evaluated like that a QB like him would have been seen 10 years ago and the problem is Ewers’s flaws don’t align with heavy RPO and timing system that Sark runs at Texas, also the direction of the NFL game is going that’s more under center play action heavy than years past indicates he will struggle in the NFL unless he’s placed in a system that masks his deficiencies or sits behind a similarly highly talented veteran quarterback (similar to a Jordan Love situation). Without one of those two factors, he’s likely to fail and look Matt Leinart bad doing it. To me the only place where he can succeed immediately is Seattle with Ryan Grubb a vertical motion passing offense (more akin to the one he ran at Washington than he does In The pros) that may rely on some timing but uses his special arm and less traditional dropback passes to work efficiently down the field is where Ewers in my opinion will be a huge asset.” High-End Comparison: a short version of Jordan Love Low-End Comparison: Jeff Driskel
Raiders should use their 3rd rounder from the jets on Gabriel. Take Mason Graham 1st, get best WR available 2nd round, BPA early 3rd round, Cam Skattebo 4th round, Jake Majors 5th
Shedeur Sanders just has a really really high football IQ and I think that the fact that his Dad was a amazing Cb help him with knowing how to read Defense. My top 5 Qb are 1. Shedeur Sanders 2. Cam Ward 3. Quinn Ewers 4. Jalen Milore 5. Dillon Gabriel
Pack basics 2-3 nights in advance; pack most things the night before and something like a book, the morning of: dob kit, tech & chargers. This depends on HOW early you're getting picked up. Last time I got picked up at 5:45 AM and did miss some things...
Haven’t watched a second of film, but based on your description of Jaxson Dart, I imagine him as Anthony Richardson in the body and physical capabilities of Bo Nix lol. And I’m not sure if that’s a good QB or not. 😂 Will be very interesting to see how his draft process goes.
McCord’s eligibility argument is that he played 5 games of mostly garbage time in 2021. There are rumors Ryan Day signed off on his waiver request, but it seems kinda unlikely they’ll give him a retroactive redshirt
As a "professional" who travels by airport for a living, with average 7-5 am flights out. Pack in the morning. At least arrive 2 hours before departure. But my wierd trait is that I enjoy sleeping on planes.
I think this NFL year has shown just how valuable a good/great back up QB is. This QB class will be better for the NFL Teams then it will be for the Fans but that’s ok!
@ I don’t entirely disagree with you but I think you have a higher chance of one of these QBs being a good/great back then QBs in other draft classes is that I’m trying to say.
I need to know y'all thoughts on Max Brosmer. He showed elite pre & post snap reads. Also was great at the FCS level and came to Minnesota and once he got going, after the first couple weeks, balled out. Also going to the Shrine bowl and works with Sean McEvoy & Quincy Avery. Feel like he'd be a nice late flyer, but no one is talking about him.
Jaxson Dart is my QB2. He’s the prototypical NFL QB. Gets the ball out quick, good arm talent, extremely decisive. He may look average in cfb, but he doesn’t need to change his game up at all to play in the nfl. These pocket sitters like Cam Ward and Shaduer Sanders are gonna get a reality check because in reality, waiting for 5 seconds for a receiver to get wide open then making a deep pass is the easiest thing to do as a QB even though casuals will drop their jaws to the floor when it happens. The small window, 6 yard slants passes to a receiver in tight coverage are WAY more impressive and harder to learn. Every part of Darts game that is negative is extremely easy to teach. All his strengths are the unteachable traits.
His LSU game is more than enough proof he isn't NFL QB material. Dude looks, sounds, has the name, has the highlights. But when it comes time to beat a team that is almost as good as his he always fails and not just fails but combusts. Vs Florida and LSU and Kentucky with a pretty solid roster advantage in all those games. His team needed him to be better than mid level College QB and never did he step up. Lane Kiffen knows it he'd rather give a DT the football with the game on the line than his QB. He's worse than Matt Corall in nearly everyway.
Show idea id love to see, maybe after the draft: taking a look at some notable draft busts over the last few years and trying to figure out what went wrong. Ideally players where the consensus was wrong (I.E. Evan Neal) as a way of understanding what teams saw in them and maybe where these teams are failing in developing these players.
Petition to add pressure to sack ratio to the list of stats on screen for each QB. Or at least just total sacks taken for the year, but I think P2S gives a better picture
Would like to see Dillon Gabriel picked up in the 2nd or 3rd rd by a team that has a vet that's still good but may be on their way out in a yr or 2. My top 4 places would be the Seahawks, Rams, Saints, or Cowboys.
Cam Ward’s the only guy I would take round 1 confidently in this class. Lot of round 3-5 guys who I love as backups or developmental guys. Last year six guys went top-15 and probably only 4 will be in the league in six years. This year will have 1-2 go top-15 but probably have 8 in the league in six years.
I agree that Ewers has been playing better, I also think Ewers injury against UTSA really affected his play after coming back for a while, a lot more than the team wanted to admit.
For my Raiders since we ruined our Draft pick, I like Milroe, Dart, and Howard as possibilities as future QB1 with a Vet like Fields or Winston to help be a Bridge QB.🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️
@@JJ-zr6fu I mean Penix already had the insane arm talent, a rocket launder arm isn't something you can coach in a couple years lol. But I agree in the sense that another year at Bama would do good for him.
The Shedeur-Deion thing reminds me of Lonzo Ball and Lavar a few years ago. Because his dad was such a big talker, everyone expected so much out of Lonzo and hated on him because of the influence of his father in the media. When in reality, Lonzo (not taking injuries into consideration) is a solid player in the NBA

I’m telling you these guys barely watch film on these guys ! Saying Shedeur needs to work on his int when 4 of the 8 were tipped/ fluky plays . Talking about Kyle McCord seeing the field better and not hesitant from OSU to Syracuse ? Like that shocking when he had more weapons on Syracuse as a whole over top end elite talent at OSU

Happy Holidays to you guys and all the NFL junkies listening on Christmas Eve!!
My poor lowly Raiders. ... I do agree with Trevor on Dillon Gabriel. ... On tape, besides his 1 horrible game he had, I think Kyle McCord looks like a NFL QB. .. Will Howard did look really good his last game, and I agree with Trevor, Howard does make NFL type throws.
100 percent pack in the morning ! How could you do it any other way? You might need things the day before that you are packing . What is more important is to make a list of what you need to pack the day before and then pack the morning of
High end comp for cam ward young Aaron Rodgers. Arm angles, throws look easy, scrambles to extend plays but will pick up the first down, if he gets the ball last to win the game you might be f’d.
Would not be surprised to see Miami take Gabriel in the 4th round to replace Tua. Basically does everything he does, and doesn’t have the massive concussion concern. Watch out…
@reesbritton6623 conservative is not what the Giants need. We need someone that isn't afraid to take risk, can escape the pocket and has elite arm strength. Look what he's done for Miami, enough said. Between Sanders and Ward, Ward has the highest ceiling. For crying out loud did you not listen. Ward reminds this guy of a Ben roethlisberger. To me the only place where he can succeed immediately is Seattle with Ryan Grubb a vertical motion passing offense (more akin to the one he ran at Washington than he does In The pros) that may rely on some timing but uses his special arm and less traditional dropback passes to work efficiently down the field is where Ewers in my opinion will be a huge asset.”
High-End Comparison: a short version of Jordan Love
Low-End Comparison: Jeff Driskel
I ain’t reading all that shit
Bro typed out a English paper
Nerdddddddddddddd
Raiders should use their 3rd rounder from the jets on Gabriel. Take Mason Graham 1st, get best WR available 2nd round, BPA early 3rd round, Cam Skattebo 4th round, Jake Majors 5th
I was so happy to see Trevor give Dillon Gabriel his flowers I have him at QB3 freshman breakout and boy is a stud
Shedeur Sanders just has a really really high football IQ and I think that the fact that his Dad was a amazing Cb help him with knowing how to read Defense. My top 5 Qb are 1. Shedeur Sanders 2. Cam Ward 3. Quinn Ewers 4. Jalen Milore 5. Dillon Gabriel
Canada has 10 provinces (and 3 territories). Rourke is from Ontario.
Giants fan here: Please draft Ward
As a "professional" who travels by airport for a living, with average 7-5 am flights out. Pack in the morning. At least arrive 2 hours before departure. But my wierd trait is that I enjoy sleeping on planes.
I think this NFL year has shown just how valuable a good/great back up QB is. This QB class will be better for the NFL Teams then it will be for the Fans but that’s ok!
No it won’t back up qbs are even more of guess than starters. The bears and cowboys back ups were undrafted
Cam Ward, known pocket sitter
Lol @@calebqueen2090
Connor is a bum like not in his top 10? wtf lol
don't hate this take, i esspecially like ur reasoning, i disagree lol but i get the thinking.
Best early christmas gift I could ever ask for
Would like to see Dillon Gabriel picked up in the 2nd or 3rd rd by a team that has a vet that's still good but may be on their way out in a yr or 2. My top 4 places would be the Seahawks, Rams, Saints, or Cowboys.
Riley Leonard is my fav developmental QB.
Gonna need you guys to keep going deep through those weeds. Us addicts crave it.
Shedeur Sanders to me he has the highest floor
lol the pause during Shough 😂😂😂
Just out of curiosity, if sanders has a worse draft grade and ceiling what made you keep him as QB1 rather than give the nod to Ward?
Morning flight -> Pack the night before
Afternoon/Evening flight -> Pack the same day
this QB class is the eggnog of the NFL draft
I agree that Ewers has been playing better, I also think Ewers injury against UTSA really affected his play after coming back for a while, a lot more than the team wanted to admit.
As a former enterprise Rent-A-Car employee, I can confirm you can rent a car under 25 years old. However, there is a $25 per day under age fee lol
Beck to the Rams in Round 3 just makes a lot of sense in my eyes.
Not having Will Howard in your top 10 is wild stuff C
For my Raiders since we ruined our Draft pick, I like Milroe, Dart, and Howard as possibilities as future QB1 with a Vet like Fields or Winston to help be a Bridge QB.🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️
Winston is a freakin disaster. If the Raiders sign Winston, i will lose my sh!t.
Would love to have Fields and Milroe along with Todd Monken as HC/playcaller
If the Steelers keep Russ on a 2-3 year deal and Justin walks, what mid-round QB prospect would fit best?
If the Dolphins want to move on from Tua Dillon Gabriel is a seamless fit and replacement.
That “pause” had me keeled over
Milroe will be fine once he gets time to develop I guarantee it.
He should stay in school. De boer turned Penix from a running qb to the best arm talent in last years draft.
@@JJ-zr6fu I mean Penix already had the insane arm talent, a rocket launder arm isn't something you can coach in a couple years lol. But I agree in the sense that another year at Bama would do good for him.
6’1 205… Last thing I do before I leave is pack and get to airport right before boarding.
Will Howard QB1 baby
Sure maybe the first QB taken on the third day of the draft
@@hassensaleh2323nah.
When I was in the service I used to sleep in the USO the night prior and then catch my flight in the morning
Only watched the intro so far. I’ve never heard someone talking about eggnog and assumed they mean straight up eggnog. To me eggnog is an alcoholic beverage, not a good one but it’s an alcoholic beverage haha
Calling Jaxson Dart "Jaxson Fart" was uncalled for, but good takes i guess
Milroe is still the guy I want to bet on in this class. Give me the ceiling, still my QB1.
I also love airports! It might be because the Atlanta airport is nice though
Cards fan here and think the Cards should move back in round 1 and draft Milroe to develop behind Murray.
Eggnog is amazing ! Plain or spiked either or is great.
Texas fan. Love Quinn for bringing the program back, he mentally f's up wayyy too much... and can't stay healthy
lol I’m listening to this while packing the night before
Love the breakdown and banter as always gentlemen, but as a Giants fan I’m left feeling sad after listening. For the future of this franchise I would want them to take Hunter or best OT or trade down. I don’t trust this current regime to not desperately take a QB though. Wouldn’t hate Milroe in 2nd at all. Happy Holidays to you guys and all the NFL junkies listening on Christmas Eve!!
What a Christmas gift.
Conner, dillion Gabriel at 10! That's criminal. Cam Ward is a dude, as a raider fan, that's my only want.
I'm probably a filthy casual but Jalen Milroe just sounds like Jalen Hurts again
Egg Nog is an enigma to me. It smells incredibly nice but I cant take but a few drinks before i hate it.
Egg nog is a must even if it’s not spiked. The rare bad take from you guys haha 😂. Have to have at least 1 day with a carton.
Jalen Milroe to the 49ers with Purdy on a mid tier extension with guarantees for only 1-2 years.
Doubt he will fall to them due to his phisicall tools. And trade ups can get expensive.
100 percent pack in the morning ! How could you do it any other way? You might need things the day before that you are packing . What is more important is to make a list of what you need to pack the day before and then pack the morning of
When you doing a rb ranking!!??
Connor: It’s egg nog time
Also Connor: WELL NOT JUST REGULAR EGG NOG YOU SICKO!
Happy Holidays fellas
If I took a shot for every “weak QB class” comment, my next of kin would be dead too.
Well it is. If this class was in last years draft the first one to be picked would maybe be in the 3rd round.
Hearing that opening while actively making eggnog... Without alcohol. I feel attacked.
How do you make eggnog without alcohol? Are you just pouring a glass of it? Or are you out in the barn milking the eggnog cow?
High end comp for cam ward young Aaron Rodgers. Arm angles, throws look easy, scrambles to extend plays but will pick up the first down, if he gets the ball last to win the game you might be f’d.
Would not be surprised to see Miami take Gabriel in the 4th round to replace Tua. Basically does everything he does, and doesn’t have the massive concussion concern. Watch out…
Milroe has not thrown a touchdown in a game, aside from the Mercer game, since the Tennessee game...
Joe Burrow took 35 and 34 sacks in his 2 years at LSU. Shedeur took 38 sacks this year.
Burrow took 3 less sacks *but played 3 more games* than Sanders, so that's a really big difference.
As a Giants fan, give me Cam Ward
Hero ball doesn’t work in the NFL… I can’t wait for the pick to blowup in your face 👍🏼🤣
And Sanders reminds them of Teddy Bridgewater's. If I'm not mistaken Ben has 2 championships. I'm tired as a Giants fan being conservative. Time to swing for the fences
@yvesleveque128 i cant wait yall gaints fans are in for a rude awakening drafting cam ward he didn't play one good defense this year let alone one ranked team he ran around holding the ball for 8 seconds when his wide receivers were not open and he throws the ball from low angles yall are bout to be the saddest fan base come next season 😂 I cant wait
@@dtxbubba6717 you sound crazy, Florida State isn't a ranked team? And what was Sanders doing? He held on to the ball longer than cam. At least cam has mobility and can escape the pocket as what has a better arm
@yvesleveque128 dummy theres nobody that covers cfb or watches cfb that will tell you that florida was a good team that got better in the second half of their season miami literally got left out of the playoffs because they didn't play nobody and the acc was the worse p4 division this year but tell yourself whatever you need to to hype cam ward up the whole world will be laughing at gaints fans next season but good luck with that
Dillion Gabriel is underrated
Gabriel is going higher than you think and I would put money on that
