Crankcase vacuum is actually a good thing , you should seal up the motor as tight as possible, it helps ring seal, and the only lines running from the trunk to the motor should be pump feed and scavenge return. The blow-by gets sent back to the tank through the return line and separates from the oil in the tank.
I should add a caveat to that, too much crankcase vacuum will cause the small ends of the rods to lose their oil, and potentially strip the walls of oil. To remedy this, you may have to put in a vacuum regulator in the valve cover to let some atmospheric air into the system

Taylor. Keep in mind you drive shaft angle when chancing trans mounting height. The trans angle should equal in degrees to your pinion angle +/- and few degrees.

The trunk mounted tanks look great and are solid. Time will tell how well the rivnuts will hold when it's full of oil. I don't know the load bearing capacity of one/multiple rivnuts.
Would suck to be mid drift and the whole tank yeets itself off the panel and starts banging around your trunk. Something to think about sir.

Excellent productive day. I don't recall hearing about an oil cooler, but I expect that will be part of the oil system setup. Wondering of the fan will end up blowing hot air down during the summer months. A better system might be an exhaust fan in the roof that pulls hot air up and out. Just a thought....

You might want to think about looking into the benefits of running a vacuum pump with your drysump .with the placement of the tank .which is a good place .I'm just worried about it smoking. Its a lot to get into in the comment section. Just wanted to throw the idea out for you to ask the company supplying the drysump. Looking good as always. Keep up the good work .
try using the foot pedal for your TIG backwards. helps it not to slide around and you can rest your foot right on it.

Nice job.
You should of flipped the bracket/clamp on the small tank, to get to the strap nut easier. Also if you added an inch to the plate and put the extra in a vise you could of bend the angle without adding the tabs.
But great build man.

if you're going to shim the transmission you need to check to see if you have proper drive shaft angle once its installed.

With oil fuel and a battery in the same area you should probably build a battery box just to be safe. Also paint the truck, it's the only unfinished looking piece of the build.

before you mount everything in that trunk please clean it out and bedline it. then install 1 led light with a toggle switch on it. it will make your trunk so clean and quite the noise a bit. plus the light will make late night track side repairs much easier. im sending you bed liner to do it!!!!!!!!

Taylor, read up on galvanic corrosion. You can’t have aluminum and steel touching, it will literally fall apart after awhile.

Great channel and I think you should have cleaned the trunk up more honestly... yes what you did looks good but you should have made the panel bigger to hide whats behind it... and make the proper hole with gaskets for and lines that will be going front to back. Just my 2 cents... possible make a new battery box all out of aluminum and keep the theme going...
not feeling those riv nuts on the oil tank. maybe add lock nuts on the back side?

You should get some stainless steel wire brushes and ONLY use them on aluminum, stainless, and other non-ferrous metals. Clean aluminum, or any metal for that matter, is paramount for quality, aesthetically pleasing welds.
I like the red trunk, just for the record. Also like the use of the drone inside, and I can't imagine you with a super thick accent lol. You've clearly lost a good bit of it.
