Yeah? That is crazy but awesome! I always recommend people buy this slinky dog that came out for Toy Story 4 it is the best movie version we have! Better head sculpt and body and with this little mod it looks so GOOD!

I actually done this to my Slinky Dog and it worked well. I sent you a photo on Instagram and at first , I didn’t knew that the Slinky Dog didn’t have the big rope . After when you posted the video, that’s when I found out.
Yeah no problem it is a very simple mod that can make a huge difference for slinky dog!!! looks so much better!

The next step could be found the way to change the ears to a leather ones. Really fun modding.
Good idea..I am going to look into it...at least maybe using these ears but over the tops of it somehow glue leather ears so its even more accurate!
Good for a collection, not so good for a Toy Story-mad kid who plays every day. I used your method before seeing this vid & the lack of any safeguard enabled my son to tie Slinky in knots. So now I’m on my second version - with all strings intact!
Yes sorry about that, its definitely more for a display not rough playing. Light playing is perfectly fine but I don't recommend kids play with a movie accurate replica...
Pull the spring & string all the way out and tape it open and the last metal ring too and it works without over-stretching and damaging the slinky.
I tried this mod too. It’s amazing how u can stretch him out really far like the movies.

I did the same thing with my slinky. Looks more movie accurate now! except the ears having white on one side, brown on the other :/ But still, it was fun
Yeah the next step is to mod the ears with real leather! I think that would be an awesome idea.

I’m a movie accurate collector so for me it was important but we all want and collect different things for different reasons and that’s ok. This helped some people who asked me how to do this mod, that’s why I made the video.
I believe slinky didn't have wheels but I felt it was magnetic based on certain scenes in toy story

@@todayigrewup you're basically the person I want to be/or at least learn from, cos I've always wanted accurate versions of my toy story toys but I have no idea how to do it. I don't have the knowledge, skills, contacts to do half of what is required. The Slinky mod is the Only thing I can do I think 😭

Haven’t modified Lightyear Buzz yet but I hope to do that in the future
You should put a metal grey slinky so he can be longer. That would be more acurete because if you see pictures of him the string goes down a lot more than the real toy.

On tail. I used a seam ripper to first cut the tail tip end much further back. Then tiny pointed sewing scissors for the rest. I love your solution to get extra string on body inside with screwdriver. I have not decided yet if I'll cut the body string. Tail string, easy choice, it had zero purpose.
Yeah I understand I’m all about having a “cleaner” look so it looks even more screen accurate but it looks great either way. I’m glad you enjoyed my tutorial :)

Just noticed there’s a code-type of message on one of the paws, is there any way to paint that over?
I guess you could paint match and paint it over...but I wouldn't really recommend that...cause its hard to color match exactly.

That’s a great idea but since I use it for display and no one checks the bottom I’m ok with leaving it alone don’t want to damage it. I do love the idea!

I have the slinky with the rope in it's head. I kind of want to do this, but I don't at the same time. I heard that my Slinky is rare, and if I regret it, there's no way of fixing it. I feel like it would be cool but I'm not sure lol.
