You could file the eye edges just to smooth it out , and you could split the long eye peg in half and super/hot glue it on the separate eyes and just drill a hole where the eyes “should” be

There are a couple things I either would have done differently or just some ideas I had, firstly I'd scout some second hand stores like Value Village for Mr. Potato Head pieces and parts, especially if you can find the potato body that was used from the 80s till 2011 since it doesn't have 3 holes on the sides or the back so it would be more accurate. I'd then use some spare pegs and superglue (or possibly even get the peg to a melting point then attach it) one to each eye, then line up and drill holes for the eyes.
One more thing and this is probably the most minor, but it's pretty clear that Mr. Potato Head in the movies uses the bendable arms that's were used around the early 80s. They aren't that common but their still out there. Sadly though those were made so the arms were permanently plugged into the bodies but that could be modded easily.
Yeah I love these type of comments very well and deeply thought out this should help anyone trying to take their mod to the next level. I don’t have the patience or time to do this and I’m actually happy with TSC potato head but that’s just me. It’s the little details that go a long way. Thanks for sharing partner.
@@todayigrewup No problem. I've never actually commuted myself to any mods above painting my own angry eyes for my TS3 Mr. Potato Head. That doesn't mean I haven't spent countless hours thinking of how I'd do it though, lol.

Can you please do a Mrs Potato head because I have a great idea ... and it’s I want you to buy a pink paint and paint her top eyes and cover the black eyelash. Then , take a black paint or clay and start making the eyelashes.
That’s a great idea but for now I’m not happy with cutting her shoes... so until I have the perfect parts I may not do a mod yet.

I just noticed how most of the primary characters had way less screen time and dialogue/script
Toy Story 4 was kind of a let-down imo.
I still enjoyed the movie and I will be watching it again but i understand why not everyone likes it

I think that was the take away from this video not everyone has the money or resources to get mods done but for this only being $10 it gives people hope they don’t have to spend crazy to make improvements. Far from perfect but with some more work why not. I’m glad you were able to appreciate this! I love it even though it’s not perfect but the one eyed Bart thing is just plain fun lol
It's honestly the best feature to this mod! As soon as you pinged his eye off I was like "YES"! You always think of the coolest stuff to do super easy like this. I think I like it better than Collection Potato Head just due to the features after.
Side note, after continuous play from my daughter with 2018 Disney Store Woody he's really starting to move around more freely like in the movie! Only thing not movie accurate is his head and slight body proportions but overall he's perfect and she loves him so much! She presses her head against his and it's super cute, she only does it to her favourite toys. She smiles when I pull his string and move and wave his arms around.
It is a fun toy and it looks like the movie so its a win win all the way around plus what an amazing price. You really can't go wrong with this!

Are you going to make separate shoes just like in the movie and even if you are you can make it with clay or you can 3D print . But , an easy way is if you have an extra Toy Story collection mr potato head , then cut the shoes off and the pegs. And cut any pegs from any classic potato head and put onto the collection shoes and put it onto the toy story 4 mr potato head.
I think eventually yes I will do this. I’ll have it on my list I need to get some 3D printing done first.

I recomend put the hans on the second part of the holes (down of the ear) i think it looks cool

Great idea. I do like low hanging hands look it seemed like that in the movie a lot. I kinda like his sleepy eyes look but you’re right it may look best with all white eyes!
what i would have done different is 1:fill the arm holes up with clay and drill a new hole higher up 2:after the feet were cut i would resculpt the rest of his shoe so it doesnt look wierd and make new pegs and holes for th feet,also repai nt the shoes 3:i would swap the ears for one with the indents 4:i would drill 2 new holes for the eyes and then make pegs for each

You could maybe do mrs potato head but it may be a little bit harder to do because you may have to cut it differently because of the eyelashes. But you could probably do it! It is so cool because it has amazing accuracies that the potato head for collection doesn’t even have! And this could replace mrs. potato head since there isn’t a collection version of her! (Which there should be) But it may be hard for the feet since she has high heels!😂

Quick and cheap mod for $10
It does look more movie accurate but the colour difference between his eyes would bother me plus I would do his eyebrows a bit thinner but overall he gets a thumbs up! 👍
This is a great way to make a movie accurate potato head even though I have the signature collection version
Yeah I love the collection version the best but this one was cheap so I wasn’t afraid to mess with it.

A simple solution could work but i would take the extra step and make some parts.
If the toy is that cheap i would buy another one to re create the shoes.
Other tip i can give,,some Lego parts are useable to glue on together so f you will need a part you can ceate it

Box art is always a promotional photo which means it sometimes varies from the final toy produced. This always happens they rush the prototype toy photos first and then last minute changes to the actual toys always happen.

I also heard that Mr Potato Head liked baseball, so he went to the game and when it was his bat, someone threw the ball a little skewed, and it hit him, so Mr Potato Head batted his eyelids for the team.
To be honest, it is sad that we now make Mr Potato Head out of plastic, and not potatoes, but is this a lesson in "DON'T PLAY WITH YOUR FOOD!!!"?

I have the same potato head i kinda did what you did but I painted the shoes to a darker blue like in the move and I filled the hole on his face with brown clay.
