TodayIGrewUP yeah, the only real way to get rid of the eyebrow is to use a Dremel and sand it down. It is fast and can be easy if used right. If you do make a mistake, use some of the plastic pellets that when in hot water, it becomes a moldable plastic.
You'd think that but we're 4 films and 25 years in - so far, not one company has nailed it so far. That said, my 2019 Signature Collection Woody and Buzz are 90% film-accurate and that's fine by me.

It would be hard to extend the string it's self. But a longer string and a smaller ring would be nice, replace the string with something similar if you'd like.

I've noticed on other doll mod channels, creators use a blow dryer for a bit on the head area to soften up the plastic and the glue, making removing the head slightly easier. Just a suggestion! :)
That was a great suggestion I should of thought about that at the time it would of helped but hope people see this comment and it helps them. That’s the best thing to do when doing any kind of mod.
Or actually work like how a pull string voice boxs from the 50 do. Because every woddy doll has a pull string that retracts back inside super fast and its operated electrically.

The fact that those animals don't sell a proper, screen accurate Woody, to this day, that's insane. I'm was also positively surprised by the finished case. I don't know for sure if it would look good, but since the acrylic case has a bottom side, you could probably place a light in the wooden box, so it would have that lampshade-like underlighting.
Anything is possible I know some people have done it but I honestly don't know how to do that. The voice box swap would be awesome! I assume the boot swap would be easy to do... Good idea if you do it let me know.

I always wondered why most of the woody toys didn’t have accurate facial features, such as how they’re smiling with teeth, and the eyebrows are raised in a weird way. Also, THE PULL-STRINGS WERE GIGANTIC
One gripe I have with the signature collection is the arm restriction. The shoulder area seems to tightly stitched for my liking. I’d like for him to be able to grab his hat with ease. And I also noticed his badge seems smaller. The one from the movie is larger and closer to the top white button. Awesome mod man, I’ll have to give it a shot

For anyone else doing this: You actually don’t have to pull the head from the huggable woody to rip it off, just had to cut the zip tie and it comes right off. As for the signature collection woody: remove the voice box from the woody, unscrew voice box open and remove the pin holding the head. It isnt glued its actually just inserted between the heads’ hole like a bottle cap (not necessarily a spin off just inserted the same way) but doing it that way you just have to pull the pin off (which is tough) and you wouldn’t have to break it , just recycle and place onto the huggable woody if you wanted to. The hands on the woody with the open hands: it’s also zip tied you just had to fold the material down towards his fingers and it would reveal the zip tie. Then replace, zip tie it back without having a cut sleeve lol This applied to both the signature collections. I’m definitely interested in creative a similar display case. I like it a lot dude!!

Looks amazing. Takes alot of balls to try it. I tryed to take apart my silver intergalactic Buzz lightyear to try fix his laser to find out about a damaged screw so couldn't finish it. When i put him back together he only spoke when holding him at certain angles 😥😥
modding toys is definitely not easy. Many times I just figure it out as I go along. No risk no reward. I have had excellent results with mods and other times some fails but I never give up and work hard!
The perfect shade for Woody's pants would be somewhere between Woody 2 and Woody 3 in that line-up at 5:16. If you compare shots from all of the movies in even lighting (such as exterior daytime lighting) his pants aren't as dark or as saturated as the third (or unseen fourth that you mentioned), but the distressed, likely real jean material in the real Woody create a gradient from the edges to the center going light to dark. Unfortunately none of those Woody's are correct in that respect, so it comes down to a choice between 2 and 3 based on preference if you don't plan on altering them. Personally, your best option would be to try to either "weather" the material of the third Woody or if using the darker pants, try and fade the color a bit.
This is great advice and I will take that up. I agree none of the colors are a 100% movie accurate. You are the best at comments because you go in depth and they are very insightful, I appreciate these.

if there's anything I would like to be improved upon is the fact that you forgot to add the line details/ make the badge a bit more metallic, make sure that the eyes are more accurate as well. But other than that, it looks impressive.

28:52 to add to this little list of making this already really accurate woody even more accurate, maybe you can make his pull string longer, since it’s really long in the movies. You can also try to make his holster more movable. Since in the movies, if woody is upside down his holster will go upside down too, but with the actual doll, it can only move from you moving it. I don’t know how you’ll make the holster be more (for lack of a better word) “moveable” though. And maybe you can make it so that woodys badge can come on and off, since it can do that in the 4th. These are just little suggestions to make it more movie accurate
Yeah I would love to work on all that, right now I don’t plan on playing with it or moving it out of the display case, I love the way it sits in there like Big Al had, only thing I really consider now is getting a smaller pull string ring.

Yeah for a Woody being a rag doll he is easier to make in many ways in a toy factory I can imagine. They never made the perfect Woody in toy mode like the movie that’s why I made one myself. One theory I heard is because the toy companies can make more money selling people multiple versions of Woody. If they only made 1 perfect Woody they wouldn’t sell as many of the many Woody doll versions they make. This is only a theory.

Nice Toy Story Collection Woody modification, and display case. I was looking at my collection Woody (with the cloud label) and thought his jeans were too light, but I never knew that it was common with the ones from the cloud. label releases. I am personally happy with how my Woody is, but I am also impressed with all these Woody mod videos.

I'm still doing a lot of analyzing myself to try and nail down the best of everything like yourself, so if I ever see anything worth mentioning I'll totally comment. But generally speaking you have a pretty good eye as is.

I have to be honest but also realistic sometimes because not everyone cares about the little things so I am trying to mainstream the idea so people care more about the details that matter I am happy you are the same.

if there's anything I would like to be improved upon is the fact that you forgot to add the line details/ make the badge a bit more metallic, make sure that the eyes are more accurate as well. But other than that, it looks impressive.
Thank you, I already added clear gloss on eyes, I am not a painter so I don't want to do the paint lines myself for fear of ruining it... I may hire someone to do that for me who is a pro.

28:52 to add to this little list of making this already really accurate woody even more accurate, maybe you can make his pull string longer, since it’s really long in the movies. You can also try to make his holster more movable. Since in the movies, if woody is upside down his holster will go upside down too, but with the actual doll, it can only move from you moving it. I don’t know how you’ll make the holster be more (for lack of a better word) “moveable” though. And maybe you can make it so that woodys badge can come on and off, since it can do that in the 4th. These are just little suggestions to make it more movie accurate
Yeah I would love to work on all that, right now I don’t plan on playing with it or moving it out of the display case, I love the way it sits in there like Big Al had, only thing I really consider now is getting a smaller pull string ring.

It's insane how accurate the signature collection Buzz is yet they just dropped the ball on Woody
Yeah for a Woody being a rag doll he is easier to make in many ways in a toy factory I can imagine. They never made the perfect Woody in toy mode like the movie that’s why I made one myself. One theory I heard is because the toy companies can make more money selling people multiple versions of Woody. If they only made 1 perfect Woody they wouldn’t sell as many of the many Woody doll versions they make. This is only a theory.

Nice Toy Story Collection Woody modification, and display case. I was looking at my collection Woody (with the cloud label) and thought his jeans were too light, but I never knew that it was common with the ones from the cloud. label releases. I am personally happy with how my Woody is, but I am also impressed with all these Woody mod videos.
