I love her voice!! She was a little spitfire ❤ I Loved her role as Leather Tuscadero on Happy Days! Brings back those days when we would watch Happy Day every Tuesday at 8:00. Happy Sunday 🕊 Thank you for sharing! 💖
As a teenager is was in love with little Susie❤She's74 now and still rocking the stage👍My favorite character in Happy Days was Fonzie, mister cool himself😎Happy Sunday, cheers to those good old days 🥂
Love Suzi ❣️❣️❣️she’s a great bassist with stage presence deluxe ~ and was a major inspiration for lady rockers to follow suit. ‘73 “Can the Can” is my favorite song by her & also the ‘78 duet with hunky Chris Norman of the band Smokie “Stumblin’ In.”
Suzi Quatro is AWESOME!! If it's good enough for Elvis, who are we to argue? It's about time she should be respected, if not already, while she's still on the road.
Yes true she tells the story about being invited to meet Elvis but she wasn't ready then he unfortunately passed. He was quoted as saying this was his favourite recording of it since his version.
Sold more than 55 million records. Still touring. She did Wacken Open ( the biggest rock festival in Europe ) 2 month ago in front of a huge crowd ( 85.000 people) So why do you think she had the stangest career? Seams you are located in USA where Suzi is known from Happy Days. Her career started long before Happy days with her first number one million seller Can the Can in 1973
@@zpower6231 You literally just explained why her career is weird as hell. More well known now for a role on an old-ass TV show in her home country, sold tens of millions of records elsewhere, never charted an album higher than 47 in the US, had one fluke #4 single (most topped out in the 40's) in the US, while the same songs were hitting #1 all over the world. It's the Hasselhoff career arc, except he was way better known as an actor over here.
@@Leathernives How thick are you that you think this is limited to Americans? Or has anything to do with America other than the examples I gave here being American? Pull your head out. Try again. Fun stuff! Before Cherie Currie/Joan Jett and the Runaways ...there was Suzi. Funny to watch her with that Gibson Ripper (might be her Grabber) ....that body is wider than her butt! 🤣😂🤣
Looks like Gibson EB-2 to me. (Like an ES-335 guitar.) Usually see them with two pickups, but hers had only one. The pickguard was removed on hers too. Short 30” scale neck on those.
@@jimmyhowe7883 Yep, I think you're right. I see the F-holes now...didn't see them on the first view. Good catch! Per Suzi on her EB-2: "I used this for some of the first album and all of the second.. its a great bass, but unfortunately with the holes in the body it doesn't actually project the sound as well for a rock bank.. more suited to a rockabilly act.. but beautiful bass."
The U.S. is a tough nut to crack. It's a huge country and it's really tough to tour through. Suzi being from Detroit and a musical veteran probably realized how much easier it was to just stay UK and be satisfied with that.
When Suzi toured the US in 1974, she went to radio stations and tried to get her records played and they did for a short time but some dj’s told her keep us in cocaine and we’ll keep playing your records. True story. She is also a woman fronting a rock band and she is a bassist not a lead guitarist.
@@darrenrunning5415 even me as one of her biggest fans, was a bit shocked to see and hear her in this clip. Compared to what have seen and heard so at do many live gigs with Suzi this clip does not prove her usual great performances
@ThePhoenixcompanies you know that they have the technology to record bands music when performed live right? Frank recorded most of his live performances spanning 25 years.
Great Suzi,we love you ❤
Absolutely brilliant!

@GerardFrenchy59 I can see why. She's so original and adorable! Fonz was one of the best. I loved the show! ❤️
Cheers to those fabulous days! 🥂
Memories of her guest starring on an episode of "Happy Days" in 1977....

Genuine rock and roll lady!
NICE. very few people can carry this song. She did good.
Love her music always will God bless and her future music and life
Love some Suzi Q. Thanks for sharing.
The Les Paul Standard of Tobacco Sunburst played by the guitar man is cool.
Pretty FRIGGIN' cool! Thanks for sharing!
Leather Tuscadero rocks!
Her drummer had it going on
Wow Fantastic Rendition
Caught her on Midsomer Murders episode. Still looks good.
I think I remember reading that Elvis loved Suzi's cover of this song. 🎉
Yes true she tells the story about being invited to meet Elvis but she wasn't ready then he unfortunately passed. He was quoted as saying this was his favourite recording of it since his version.
I’m sure he was hammered sitting on the can at the time
R.I.P. Elvis
They needed to be in the key of E so as to not strain her voice, but she was a great performer!
Indeed. She seemed to be having a little difficulty squeezing that one out of her vocal chords. But who cares?! M' darlin' Suzi Q always rocks!
Leather and the Suedes rule!🤗
Suzi and Len❣️
Ouch...that was painful.
She seems to have had the strangest career in rock.

Midnight Special… please post the episode hosted by Suzi Quatro.
Well thats four minutes of my mundane life that ill never get back.
Here is another few seconds...🖕

Ah yes, you could have used those four minutes to learn how to spell and the importance of punctuation..😂

I don’t know why she didn’t become famous in her native country - the United States.

Agreed… She was before her time. In the 80’s Joan Jett basically cloned herself in the image of Quatro.
Heavy bubblegum rock like Sweet, Mud and Suzi was a big deal in Britain but not here.
Slade probably fits in there too.
@@petercena9497 Sweet had a few hits in the US.
Sensacional! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Would've liked to seen her do can the can.
absolutely Great !
Awesome 70's music.
ONE of a kind....no other like her, ever......
Leather Tuskadero yeah baba had a crush on her as a lisps still do
😍👏
Badd-Ass woman.💪🏽
You bet !!! 🎉
Classic ✌🏼
She is the female counterpart or sister of a young Rick Derringer! 😆
Ugh. That was a rough listen.
They tried to make her famous putting her on Happy Days. It didn't work for me, even as a kid.
Suzi is such a one-off, she doesn't need the Rock'n'roll Hall of Fame.
Really seems lacking in energy. Was she having an off night?
@@darrenrunning5415 even me as one of her biggest fans, was a bit shocked to see and hear her in this clip. Compared to what have seen and heard so at do many live gigs with Suzi this clip does not prove her usual great performances
Horrible imo
Got to hit the notes, though, looking good ain't enough. Was she sick here?
Sounds to me like Suzi had a sore throat that day. No weak links among her band-members, though.
@@Leathernives I'm afraid my performances would be wasted on the pitiful likes of you.
It’s LIVE with it’s mistakes - no autotune, no playback, no lip sync and other hokus-pokus cheatings.
Not like todays music!
@npe56 Not like today's music, no. But also not like the best of yesterday.
I only knew her because of “Happy Days”. She is cute as a button. I am pretty sure she married her lead guitarist.
The USA should be more grateful for the treasure that we have in Suzi Quatro…
The biggest female of rock
Suzi is quite simply the baddest ass....on planet earth
💚💙💜
All the haters and jealous types here…Give it a rest.
Is it because she’s a woman? I sure hope not 🤦♀️ 🤷♀️
Pinky Tuskadaro!
So many armchair experts and keyboard warriors.. if only you have had the career (and the money) she has..😉
I know it’s kinda sickening isn’t it?
And I hope it’s not because she’s a woman 🤷♀️
You all talk your shit about her, but her best is Stumbling In.
Obvious vocal problems that night.
That bass line is boring. Why does the sound mixer need to crank her bass higher than the other instruments when she’s not doing anything special? 😂
Oh wow, another "expert"..😂
And yet, she sold over 55 million records and at 74, she's still touring. What are your achievements? 😂
The original vinyl recording has more energy than this version
suzi has an adam's apple. Oops.
MTF…..even back then they were out there
That makes no sense. At All. 🤷♀️
She sings like my neighbor during a shower.
Wow...that was terrible.
Didn’t your mom ever teach you, if you don’t have anything nice to say…
Unless you can do better, stfu..
Worse than that, it was mediocre.
@@Leathernives thank heavens you’re here to stick up for the marginalized and forgotten. You’re a saint.

Can the can is a kick ass song
@@Troy_nov1965 did not know that. Thought you were referring to the canned applause. I sit corrected
The only reason I know who Suzi Quatro is because Frank Zappa was always dogging her in his live shows 😂
I came here to say the same thing 🤣
