I moved back to the states recently after living in Yongsan for four years. This video got me feeling very nostalgic! So happy to see Yunjudang featured- her makgeolli class is a lot of fun. I know you've got a favorite samgyetang place already, but I highly recommend 간원정 삼계탕. Traditional hanok style restaurant, and lots of cute cafes nearby for dessert.
I'd highly recommend White Rabbit, befriended the guy running it and he's so hospitable. The have highballs and whiskey! On that same street there is Coley's, you'll see a lot of foreigners there so its a safe bet if you want to meet other english speakers who traveling like you are!
PLEASE make this a series! That would mean the world to me and I guess lots of other people who like to travel to Korea. It is just so hard to find the good places in one area, so you don't have to waste time going back and forth. Could you do a video on Gangnam-gu next? I know it is a very obvious one, but when I was there I felt like it is very hard to find actually "good" places there. As a tourist your left with walking from one subway station to the next, hoping you have caught a sense of what this huge construct of Gangnam is...
@@sisselabplease add the price ranges of the shop recommendations you showed I had to google to check if they’re affordable 💚I love this series it shows another side of you
yes pleaseee! and if you like as well maybe sites to visit as well, what would you recommend as souvenirs and for me most important- korean but not touristic, affordable food@@sisselab i just discovered you before xmass and binge watching aaall the time!
Non-touristy & cozy is exactly what I look for when I travel!! You did so well with this, Sissel. Like everyone else is saying, this needs to be a series!
I need a series of this! this is exactly what I need, I've been planning a korea trip but I get super boring results, having a local showing me around different neighbourhoods is wayyyy better! I love it sissel
This came at such a perfect time! I’m moving to Seoul from Canada in less than two weeks and I’m so excited to explore. Thank you for showing us around ☺️
One of my favorite things is when you take us around Seoul neighbourhoods and make us feel like we are your friends, newly arrived in town, and you are introducing us to your best hangouts! Loved this, thank you so much Sissel. You and Stephanie are both so beautiful, i bet you guys get lots of compliments when you are out and about 💜💜I just wanted to add that I really enjoyed your soundtrack in this vlog 🙏🤗
Sissel this was so good! the quality and the feel of the video was so nice! i just returned from almost 2 months in Seoul and wish this came out a little earlier BUT seeing Hannam felt all cozy! i love Leeum also and that whole are. I cant wait for more eps!
We love a non-gate keeping girl boss!! But seriously I love this series SO MUCH already ❤ thank you for sharing the tips & all these great spots. Can’t wait to see more!! It would be fun if you did a “cozy spots for Christmas/holidays” as well with like cute cafes that decorate or places to go during the holidays with lights etc. 💚 oh and thank you for linking to Naver maps 🙏🏻🙏🏻 that makes it so much easier to bookmark the places 👌🏻

Please continue this series~ I'd love to know more about Seongsu-dong, since all i know is that its good for cafes. I feel like ever since the accident in itaewon, no one has shown it love. It was a beautiful, fun area and Im excited to see what it becomes.

With every upload and smile you show is the mundane and beautiful things around the world! I love you Sissel you are such a light ❤ Will forever wish you all happiness and peace 🥰
I loved this! My husband (who is Korean), my two toddlers and I are thinking of moving to Korea next year! If we do, I hope I remember to come back to this video for places to go! We were in Korea in mid September for a month and I had a few places I wanted to go to but some of these are definitely my vibe so they need to be added to the long list haha
Great idea, Sissel! Im planning a trip to South Korea next year and I’ve already been making a list of must dos. Id also love to see your fave outdoor activities.

Sis, thank you so much for this video, I've been getting to explore and get to know Yongsangu more, but literally, none of my friends here really hang out there, and couldn't really find any nice places besides those more tourist-focused ones. So this really helped me a lot, and hopefully this weekend or anywhere in the near future I'm gonna stop at some of the places you showed and recommended! Thank you again and I'm sending lots of love~ 💚
