I think this conversation on love and relationships is really dependent on identity. If people do not value you, if people do not treat you right. If you find it difficult to meet someone due to societal issues around race, class, age, ability, sexuality, gender, size etc. So some of us really cannot prioritize finding a life partner. We have to prioritize taking care of ourselves. People will dismiss this as hyper independence, but exactly what is our other option? Tolerating being treated poorly? All of us have some kind of trauma to heal from. But I personally don't know anyone in my life who is prioritizing finding a life partner---due to countless times in which people have NOT valued them or respected them. Many of us are prioritizing self love and self growth. Protecting ourselves and loving ourselves first. I enjoy your channel and hearing different points of view. But as a hopeless romantic, I cannot imagine looking for a life partner in this world where my identity/ life isn't valued. It's a huge reason why many of us chose to remain childless and single. 4b movement is global.

As a counsellor I encourage my clients to not worry so much about being perfectly "healed" before entering a relationship with someone, because the reality is that people fall in love in all sorts of situations, and during all walks of life, and so much of what we learn about ourselves is in relation to others. Obviously common sense says if you're mistreating people that's different, but generally speaking ... being in relationships with others (romantic, friends, family etc) is where a lot of learning and soothing can happen, and that's a lifelong journey ❤🎉

I totally agree to every word you said.. I met my now husband 8 years ago, when I was 21. At that time I was fresh out of 5 year relationship, where it was menthaly abusing. After that I swore to never judge people on how they looked. For me it was 100% the personality... So when I met my husbad... he felt like my best friend. We had soo much in common that I thought.. we could be friends even we were not in relationship. Because of his persistance I realized, that great friendships are not only meant for friends, but for loved ones aswell. I'm now married to my best friend and I choose him every single day. :)
My girlfriend and I keep saying that we clicked when we met, it was like finding each other's person. But I believe to really love someone (and everything it implies) is definitely a choice. And this makes it even more special ✨

You know what. I love your way of thinking even if we are sooo different. Iam french arabic, muslim, living in France, mother of 2. Iam so agree with the way you see relation ship and the croire we make every day staying with the beloved one. I choosed my husband cuz we ware both family and religion oriented. And that base was strong enougt to build a halthy and strong family. You need to have a comon goal to build together. Thats an everyday job to make it works. We loved each other, but that love was nothing compared to what we feel now. Also, we have moments here and there where our relationship didn’t work very well with conflict. So when we worked on that we grew so so strong and it changed everything 💚
Don’t only talk about your relationship when you have issues or are in the middle of a conflict. This is often where people “remember” to talk or feel pushed into doing it. But it’s crucial that you talk when you are not fighting, when you’re good. This is where both parties are in a space to listen and grow more likely 💚
How important it is though to find the person very physically attractive? Because I keep thinking I have to sacrifice that if the person genuinely shares a value system and has great traits, but something stops me every time and I feel shallow af :( Idk how much sacrifice you have to be ready to make in such a case.. I do want to experience those butterflies and pull to a man, like in those fantasy books lmao I'm already 27 but never felt the urge to jump a man's bones and i want that xD Am I too silly for this..

You know what. I love your way of thinking even if we are sooo different. Iam french arabic, muslim, living in France, mother of 2. Iam so agree with the way you see relation ship and the croire we make every day staying with the beloved one. I choosed my husband cuz we ware both family and religion oriented. And that base was strong enougt to build a halthy and strong family. You need to have a comon goal to build together. Thats an everyday job to make it works.
