    A special game to me, the Steelers beat the hell out of the Seahawks. The defense, offense and special teams performed well on a beautiful September game in Pittsburgh. Coming off of a week 1 beatdown, the Steelers needed this game badly.

    An epic 2011 match of classic Pittsburgh Steelers defensive dominance. Despite a cheap shot to the leg of Roethlisberger, he remained in the game & played a great game. How about that Hines catch?! HERE WE GO! 🖤💛

      Seattle leads the series 10-9... each team has shutout the other two times.
      This game was the second shutout in a row by the Steelers after beating them 21-0 in 2007.

    This receiving core was unbelievable in 2011: Hines Ward, Antonio Brown, Mike Wallace, Heath Miller, and Emmauel Sanders. All were Pro Bowlers. Wallace and Brown both went in that year. It's a shame this team didn't go back to the Super Bowl. 12-4 and had we won one of those four losses we would've been the #1 seed.

    Larry Foote, man I liked him a lot, on another note..the offense was stacked with, Ward, AB, Mike Wallace, Sanders and of course Heeeeath, also a stable of good rb's, should've gotten another SB appearance but...🤷🏾

      Right? Tebow... That was a Superbowl worthy defense. We beat Brady that year.

    • @markrobertson2196
      @markrobertson2196 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      They were a great team, too bad the Tebow game happened? My question though, this team was swept by the Ravens in the regular season, they had the Steelers number that year, would've been interesting if those 2 met in the playoffs in Baltimore, who would've won that matchup? Though I'm a Steelers fan, I'd say the Ravens, best team in the AFC that year I thought and would've got to and probably won the super bowl had it not been for Lee Evans drop in the AFC championship game and then Billy Cundiff's missed kick shortly after that against New England in the AFC championship game

    • @BlackIce100
      @BlackIce100 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@markrobertson2196 I don't know about that, yeah they might have swept the Steelers in the regular season but we all know the playoffs is predicated on who's coming in hot and who's playing good football, unfortunately Tebow did happen, I say the Steelers lost that game 🤦🏾 more than the Broncos won it.

    We were stacked at inside linebacker nack then. That defense was ferocious back then. No wonder they were always #1 defense in the league for like how many years back then. I always feel outside of winning the super bowl be #1defense and be #1 in rushing you'll win a lot.

    This was a week after we got thumped 35-7 by Baltimore. I knew we were gonna come out hard in this one. The 2011 oline was bad. Jonathon Scott at LT almost ended Bens career. And it was sad seeing #91 Aaron Smith a shell of himself at this point. All the injuries caught up to him here.

      @@doughalagich5066 I do. Mike still had a few stragglers from the Cowher era at this point and of late he doesn't or hasn't had the QB WR for continuing the "gadget plays" that were a staple almost every week for years in Pitt under Cowher who had plenty of WR/QB's to fuel the need.

    Man, this clip is reminding me of how truly STACKED we were on both sides, but lost to fucking TIm Tebow in the divisional. Granted, some of those guys on defense were nearing retirement, but still. It just boggles my mind how it came to an end. I knew the next few years were going to be long ones, and they were. Tomlin deserves the credit of making due as best as he could in 12' and 13'. I mean, what are the chances of even finishing .500 when you start 0-4??
