Me and my best friend went to this game. We live in the Dallas area and drove up to Pittsburgh for the game. It was the best road trip I’ve ever taken. The pick six put the crowd into a frenzy. It was the loudest I’ve ever heard. Damn it was fun!!
2008 was probably my favorite Steelers teams/seasons.. They had the toughest schedule that year and just kept winning and winning.. This one right here was a CLASSIC. When Townsend picked off Romo to seal the game, I went crazy 🤘🤘🤘
The 17 point turnaround made this game super special and a big W when they needed it most, the mark of true champions! Unforgettable. The time draws nigh Yinz so here we go!

During the 08 NFL season I had this odd job in SF where a bunch of us on Sundays would go to this office with cubicles and watch NFL games and enter into a computer what the result was, for some kinda live web fantasy game. After your game worked was over, you could just hang out and watch games since they had every game there. Me and this Cowboys fan watched the game there and it was back and forth till the Steelers prevailed. I rank the 08 game as the 5th best Cowboys/Steelers game ever, after the three Super Bowls and the 1982 regular season classic, Terry's last W over the 'girls, Danny White's first L at home.
Great game, great comeback and defensive stands. And off topic: Wade Phillips knew how to build and coach a 3-4 defense. Lebeau, Rex Ryan, and Wade were the tops
You gotta give props to that Wade Phillips defense. He is one of my fav DCs along with Lebeau of course, and Rob and Rex Ryan. All great 3-4 masterminds.
The offense was pure vomit that day. The defense set up or scored 13 of those points. The only thing good about the offense was their timely score. Out of the 4 other turnovers, besides Deshea's pick 6, the offense put up 6 points. Lol

That defense was so good that the offense only had to score once a game! If they can perform like that this year!? With this offense (O-line excluded).
I hate cliches but that team is a prime example of the fact that offense may win some games, but DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS!!! 👍👍✌️(Cuz our offense sure didn't help, ha).
This game had such a great ending. As with all of the games during this season, I was very drunk 🥴by the end of the game!!!! I can barely choke down a 6 pack these days......
My favorite thing about this game is that my high school football coach was a big Cowboys fan so I made a bet with him that if Pittsburgh won, he’d have to wear a red clown nose all day the Monday after the game 😂😂 The other thing I remember about this game is how ineffective the offense was. It's not shown in the video but I'm pretty sure this was the game where they took three straight shots from the 1 with Mewelde Moore and Carey Russell and couldn't punch it in on 2nd, 3rd, or 4th & goal. If someone had told me that this team would've ended up hoisting the Lombardi at the end of the year, I'd have probably laughed at them.
This is why Romo is an announcer and Ben is on his way to the Hall of Fame. How much does a quarterback mean to a team? Kenny Pickett or Ben Roethlisberger, take your choice.
That Defense was fantastic. All seasoned vets in their prime.. I miss these teams. Should have never gave Santonio away for basically nothing. He was AB before AB was AB.. These were the teams that could have won multiple Super Bowl's.
Steelers D had 4 picks (1 was a game winning pick 6) and the special teams had a kickoff recovery. Yet, the Big Ben O turned those into 0 points. All those turnovers and a pick 6 sealing the win show that a Big Ben led offense is pretty pathetic. This game is 100% proof that DEFENSE wins championships! #gosteelers
I dislike The Ratbirds, but I really hate the Dallas Cowgirls. Ask a true Steelers fan that's older. Watch what they say. One thing Romo is a great sports announcer.

Went to this game. It was FREEZING COLD!!! So mad in the first half the Steelers only got 3 points off all of those turnovers. But that DEFENSE!!!
