It's cool, and often overlooked, that the f84 (as opposed to the 91) has open lugs, so for putting the watch on a NATO strap it's the superior choice. Also, - totally agree - the 84 has a more harmonious, sensible dial layout over the 91. (Wearing mine right now on a beige perlon, black buckle)
ha! Look, it's me from 2 years ago. Still loving the F84 -wearing it right now, same strap, wow - (but have also been led astray by heavier, fancier watches), but now I'm returning to the good ol' days, and have also bought myself an F28.
Hi Rich, i like the F-84, i have always been a electronics geek, yes i was the kid that had the calculator watch in junior high school, lol , thanks for the great video. 👍
The f-28 is so beautifully simple! I reviewed mine from the mid-eighties on my channel. I’m never gonna sell it … or wear it. This nato strap looks great on it. I’m looking for a strap that resembles the original. So far no luck. Thanks for this video!
Great video! The F84w is one of my all-time favorite basic models from Casio. Takes me right back to my childhood in the 80’s. It’s a daily wear piece for me. Better case design with standard lug openings compared to the more common hooded design on the F91w.
I used to have the f-28w when I was in middle school about 6 years ago. I lost it at this point, but I really regret that since it was my first watch, and they're collectible now. I bought it on Amazon for around 7 bucks. Anyway, nice video :]
Are the F-84W and F-28W were the first mass-produced digital watches from Casio before the F-91W, since the F-91W is available worldwide while the F-84W and F-28W are exclusive to Japan?
Just ordered one from Japan. Any other models to bring me back to the 80s besides my F91, F59, A158, Q159 A168, A169 and now this F84? Love these small, light watches.
Good video, mate. I've always preferred the F-84W to the F-91W. Just a nicer design in my opinion. Have you ever weighed that F-28W (either watch head only or with original strap)? I'd be interested to know how much lighter it is vs. the 84/91, being a plastic backed model.

I ordered an F84 direct from Japan and to my surprise received with the watch a complimentary fun size Japanese Kit Kat bar 😊

Same thing happened to my F28 band. After years in the drawer, it just fell in two pieces. Nice this one has the month along with day and date.
I love my f-84w and it's a keeper for me.

The one in the left is looking really cool man. Loved that strap
I just got the F-84w yesterday for $6 shipped! Brand new from someone getting rid of his Casios. Got lucky & love it! Next to my 2 other F91w's haha.
Just picked up a Casio watch lot, and amongst them is a good condition F-28w with only minor wear, working good with a new battery 2016.
I'm experiencing a time warp to my youth...!! 😜💕😆❤️🎵

Don't be obsessed what others say...just but what you like & will enjoy in future
