Loved my F-91W but picked up a W-86 when the strap broke and it's a great replacement. Bought a second one just in case it gets taken off the market.

I have the both of them. And I have no complaints with either.great watches.
I have 1572 model of the f105 it was my dads and now it’s mine replaced straps and battery but other than that works and still looks new. Such a great watch

The F-105 was the first watch I bought myself with allowance as a kid in 1993. So it will always have a special place in sentimentality for me. You can't go wrong with any of the electro lit watches. I've been trying to track down a W-86 before they are completely gone however. Hopefully the F-105 sticks around for longer.

Agree! F-105 is the watch!! I drunken bought one in wal-mart last year. Fast foward.. showed my pal this today. It's keeping the exact time i put in a year ago. went to the gov time website. blown away. I'm sure it's a casio lottery with quartz.... Maybe. Bro, This or the GMWB5000D-1 might be the best watch EVER!
The true F91 W successor is the W 218 1B, bassically u get the g shock DW 5600 for £16 but with F91 W features.

w86's are getting hard to come by. For the same price, you may as well keep going to the new w218h or w219h. Even bigger, and probably better, than ALL mentioned here. The true successor to the f-91... which pretty much pales in comparison to everything, at this point. Also seems to be a low-fi alternative to the G-Shock to boot.
This being said, I'm very happy with my 105w. Fits better than the 91... smoother around shirt cuffs, looks better... etc.
Lotsa' choices with Casio , between $15-$25 usd. Good times😉👍

I have a F-91W and A163, awesome watches. Very accurate time. And I just bought the W-86 got it on a offer of £11.99
The only difference between old 1572 module and 3298 is the calendar end date. 1572 calendar only goes to year 2039 and 3298 goes to year 2099.
The "legit check" has already been copied by clone manufacturers and has not been a reliable way to find the diff between a real vs fake for a fairly long time now.
I have a W86 but no turquoise track suit.

I'd like to give the W86 a try, but I can't find them for less than $45 and that's a bit rich when I could get a G-shock DW5600 for just a bit more money.
I agree, that is far too much. In the UK you can get it well under the equivalent of $20

Did you store them in different temperature humidity conditions or near a magnet ?
As for the older module i guess they changed it for cost cutting or maybe the calendar wasn't going till 2099. But the older module was more accurate.
the accuracy difference is common, I'm guessing that's it's to do with the quality of the quartz crystal used. I have subsequently learned that there have been 3 different modules used: 1275 / 1572 / 3298 and thanks for pointing out that the older module was more accurate.
W86 for me, I prefer the look, build and the colours.

I can't find a site outside of Europe that sells it for a reasonable price unfortunately.
Those pins are a lot stronger than any bars, the strap will rip before those pins bend.
the problem with the w86 is that it's very scarce, and the price then is high-60 dollars. and though i love that watch, im not sure i'd pay that much for a watch that simple. only for collectors, i guess

I agree that it's not worth paying above retail unless you're a collector. It seems to be more readily available in Europe than the rest of the world.

The F105 is scarce in the Uk it costs around £28 imported from the U.S the W86 can be had for between £11-£18
My dad havsa 16yo a188 w/ a 1572, battery life 10 years w/ alarm set to 0600. He swims at the Y in it.
I personally prefer the F-105 due to the blue colour on the watch face..... There isn't that much difference between the two.

It's true that it's no longer available on the Casio website. You can get the W86 from Argos website if you're in the UK.
Imo both are ugly, i stay with the f91 wich has the better display, i can swim in a lake without problems and the light is not the best but its enough in darkness and the charm of the f91 is undeniable
I agree that the F91 has the better display. You only notice the difference when you put one of these watches alongside it though.
for me I will pick f105 it is more slee & the w86 is very expensive not worth it..
The W86 is expensive in America. In the UK it is only £17 and the F105 is more. Appreciate your opinion.
