Excellent tutorial . Nice technique with letting the black in the curves . Greetings , Robert .

Thanks Robert. This technique is how I paint my 15mm minis and I'm trying to apply it to larger scales.

man, you have good eyes. I have such a hard time seeing the details over black to stay within the lines. Usually i'll have to paint in another base color before i can really see the borders well.

I'm used to doing this in 15mm so these guys look like giants to me! That helps my eyes as a steady diet of 15mm does strain my old peepers.

Most of us do :). A large free standing magnifying glass with an inbuilt light is what most of us use.......you are right, without them, it would be a poor show to paint that small and that detailed.

I hope you have with them. Napoleonics can look spectacular on the tabletop. Not sure How many more I will be painting though. Too many other things to do!

How did you painted the eyes!? I tried painting it but i was struggling

Eyes are not easy for sure. You need a brush with a good tip, paint that will flow reliably in one pass and line up the brush so you can paint the eye from the side, not face on. That is an easier stroke to make on such a small area. Then it's a simple little black dot for the pupil. Do all this before painting the rest of the face and you can easily correct errors. I hope that helps.

Impressive and helpful. What size and type of brushes did you use on the face? 👍

I use the Army Painter Insane Detail brush for the small areas including the face. For the rest I use any medium sized brush with a good point. Thanks for watching!
