    Thank you so much for all the information!! Great content and I really appreciate the step by step guide! I would love to see a video on trailers, I know its not really what you use but id love to learn more about them because thats how I plan to start. For example how much tonnage you can carry in a 14k gvwr trailer, how big a truck you need, and how to still stay under CDL requirements in the process! Anyways thanks again John I have some work ahead of me, but your videos always give me the confidence and the motivation to start this business and work for myself in this industry!

    I absolutely love your podcast and your ability to explain this business and all of its ups and downs. I’d like for you to speak to having debt and what to do if you’ve gotten into the business in the wrong way and are overextended. I’ll be honest…that’s me. I’m in the process of figuring out what to do in order to restructure my debt and increase my profitability. I used a ton of my savings but also used credit cards and a line of credit. As the market starting to change and rates started increasing, I noticed my debt increasing and profitability decreasing. I’m still under the 2 year mark so I haven’t been able to qualify for a SBA loan or any other business loan for that matter. Thank you in advanced and keep up the great work.

      I actually have an upcoming episode on this very topic in the near future. Here's just a little bit from that I'll share here now with you. You have already taken the risk... ( Good for you!!! ) And I mean that.... When you take big risks, you attack and play the game differently. It doesn't matter how you got into this game, debt, cash, credit cards, or mortgaged your house.... You're here in the game. But rather than focusing on restructuring your debt, focus on making more money to pay that debt. Elon Musk recently tweeted this and its so true: "Its easier to make an extra $10,000 than it is the save $10,000" I would focus on more business and paying the obigations you have rather than playing defense and worried about the choices you already made.
      Much, much more to come on this topic. Thanks for this comment. Get out there and put in the work and make that extra $10K

    Another great video John!
    If I were to start over again, I would directly go into the Hooklift truck and skip over the roll off trailer/gooseneck set up. Just my opinion.
    Can you do a video on what facilities you use to dump dirt/concrete?
    Also, do you separate your trash or take each load to the dump/transfer station?
    Appreciate your content! 🔥

    • @BlueCollarHaulers
      @BlueCollarHaulers ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I wish we could all start with a hooklift truck! But don’t forgot these trailers are a great way to step into the market and get proof of concept. It’s a lot easier to get your foot in the door with 40k versus 200k. I’m seeing the happy spot is starting with a trailer, and moving to hooklift in 12-16 months. IMO 👍
      👊👊👊

      Agree with that… I factor after I spent 40K on the Maxxd set up and then 65k on my Ram 2500 I was at the same amount that I spent on my hooklift truck. You’re right on it being a good start to test the waters! 👏🤛

    • @samedaydumpster
      @samedaydumpster  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think those are some great suggestions for future videos. I will put those on the list. Real quick tho... I don't do any type of sorting at the moment prior to going to the transfer station. I see value in it, it's just not something I have time for, or the facilities or the manpower to perform at this stage of the business. Thanks for your comment and for watching, very much appreciated.

    • @samedaydumpster
      @samedaydumpster  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      100%. I still feel you need to learn to walk before you run. The "trailer type" setup is a very crucial step for anyone starting out in this business. You learn to be efficient, the mistakes that get made on the trailer aren't nearly as costly as they are on a hooklift truck and you're spot on with the capital to get into the game. $40,000 vs. $200,000 + is a big factor while you figure a lot of things out. Great comment!

    • @samedaydumpster
      @samedaydumpster  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think most everyone will agree and see "proof of concept" that most ( I use this term loosely ) most guys started on the trailer and grew into hooklift trucks are doing pretty well for themselves. If someone is going to "washout' of this business, it's usually in the trailer phase. Thanks for the support and for watching guys.

      @@samedaydumpster Thank you and BTW, I appreciate your informative and professional videos. Most of the TH-camrs are more self-serving than really informative.
      In the truck video or in a separate one can you also talk about dumpstar bags. I do not know how useful they are most areas but here in FL I think there is some opportunity with them since we get so many homes damaged from storm surges. I'm thinking the homes along the coastal areas could add a dumpster bag to their emergency supplies. If you drive along the coastal areas after a storm there are piles of trash all along the roads of these areas. If I can get them a bag prior to a storm it would be helpful for them and provide me with a business opportunity. Do you know if they even make a non CDL truck that will accommodate both a hooklift system, automatic tarp, and the bagster-hook system? I'd like to know about that before I order my trucks so If it's possible could send me an email with some of what you know about those system? I would greatly apricate that. I'm sure it takes time to make these videos so I'll likely be at step 10 prior to you putting a video out on it.
