If I remember correctly I can see the transmission temperature right from the dashboard. So really you don't even need that scanner. Just need a way the tool to measure it.
What color is new factory transmission fluid for that ZF 948TE transmission? It appears to be clear or amber. The video didn’t show pouring the new stuff in.
Do you have any proof of this color? I’m working on a 2019 Chrysler Pacifica, that I suspect has a failing transmission, at 45,000 miles. No big metal chunks; only tiny metal chunks in glittery amber/brown fluid. I’m trying to figure out if anybody has changed this transmission fluid before, and if it is the reason for the van’s no start condition. It has a P0850 Park/Neutral Switch Input Circuit code, as well as plenty of other codes. Reprogramming it (BCM Proxy Realignment) may fix it, but it may also not start because of the transmission’s internal magnetic Transmission Range Sensor being fouled by tiny metal particles.
@@Joeinsane1 I have new oil in my shop and I double checked the color and it is light green color but if your oil has some mileage done already then probably it did turned to amber/brown fluid. The best would be if you have any information about previous owner and ask if he did changed the fluid, or you can check carfax sometimes it is reported there, if it was done at Chrysler dealer for example. I have seen before that some people do not use oem fluids and they are different color. Good luck !!!
