The new Land Cruiser is not a 300 series, it’s a Land Cruiser Prado, so I think everyone interest in a real Land Cruiser would buy the Armada over the fake LC we get here. The only 300 series we get is the LX600
I really hope this is the start of a resurgence of Nissan. They have been floundering for so long but it SEEMS like they’re starting to find an identity. One of their major competitors, Toyota, seems set on moving up to different pricing level than Nissan leaving plenty of room for them to expand their market share in the more value focused customer segment. My wife is dead set on a large SUV for her next vehicle and based on at least initial MSRP, the Armada is top of our list now. If for nothing else Nissan seems to at least understand that the average customer isn’t keeping up with inflation.
I bought a new Titan over the competition and Nissan deserves more respect for build quality and reliability then they are given. I then bought my wife a new rouge and even that vehicle surprises everyone who rides in it.

This is a great suv. Its quite luxurious as well. And with that 516lb-ft of torque it would spin the earth. Lol. Theres no way renault had any influence in this. The french have nothing anywhere close to this beast.
Well, the developing countries in Asia and Middle East markets where the Patrol/Armada is popular, they will actually save some fuel since most of the time they are moving slow in heavy traffic and idling. Having 8 cylinders doing nothing will use more fuel than 6 of them. However, on-boost they use just as much if not more fuel.
@@RedEemblem Exactly right, which I mentioned on my post, on-boost they use just as much if not more fuel. But, idling along at no boost, they use less fuel. It's one or the other, you either have the power or you have the fuel economy, you cannot have both at the same time, especially with a big truck.
@chiemekaa unlike Toyota, Nissan didn't feel comfortable putting a hybrid drivetrain on something that big designed to go off-road, even a mild system.

We have the Nissan Terra with a MT, Almera (Versa) also with a 1.0L 3-cylinder Turbo HR10DET with MT, the Nissan Kicks e-power, the Z, R35 GT-R, Leaf, Navara and the Nissan Livina, currently the 2024 Nissan Patrol still. The name will be the same but the ownership might change. Then again, getting Renault out of the way might help tremendously. Not to mention getting rid of some of those 25 to 40 year tenured "veterans" at Nissan who can't think of anything to do but copy others.
I really wish Nissan included the Off-Road kit and the built in air-compressor in the rear where this power outlets are like the overseas PATROL, is that an option that might be available?
We have three of them and I can agree with what you said, but once you fix the electrical issues and realize that the reason you get low fuel economy is because you keep flooring it (me), these suvs are very good and comfortable for long trips, and that 5.6 sounds amazing
I would've liked to ask Nissan why they never put the 9 speed auto behind the last V8 in the Armada and QX80 but had it in the Titan behind the same V8.?
If you start from off, instead of accessory, on some vehicles you need to hold start button to start the engine. If you are in accessories already, you just need to tap once. Or you can tap from off twice to start. But a quick short cut from off is just to hold until the engine starts.
