More Babymetal - but live please? 😁. They do have songs in English but you won't really find their music a problem once you start to watch/experience it - they are a live act and very visual with choreography and great sets - so obviously best seen live. There are 2 other versios of Monochrome (at least) - a live and one for "The First Take" - piano & violin only I think

Good first reaction and welcome to the BABYMETAL Foxhole. 'Monochrome' is from the album released in March this year, so it is one of their most recent songs - and this being the lyric video you are yet to see who they are or to witness them in their element - playing a live show.
BABYMETAL are lead vocalist Su-metal with, providing backing vocals, harmonies and in charge of involving the crowd, leading chants and doing most of the choreography, Moametal and Momometal.
Momometal has been an official member only since 1st April this year, but she was supporting Su and Moa for 4 years as a dancer since 2019.
The original third member was Yuimetal. Sadly she left the band in October 2018 after a 12 month absence for poor health.
They started in 2010 as one of several sub-units of a school themed J-Pop Idol group called Sakura Gakuin which was set up by the Amuse talent agency as a way to coach and train about a dozen of the most talented girls on their books in all aspects of entertainment (singing, dancing, acting, modelling, writing, stage management, TV presenting etc) with a view to their choosing how they would like to continue their career when they were at school leaving age (15 in Japan).
Su was 12, Yui and Moa are about 18 months younger, they were both 11.
BABYMETAL was the pet project of one metalhead producer who was inspired to experiment with a fusion of Metal with JPop aesthetics after seeing Su-metal singing with her previous JPop trio and being very impressed with her no holds barred singing style and stage presence - she was only 10 or 11 at that time. He pictured her fronting a metal band and got his chance to work with her when her previous group ended and she joined Sakura Gakuin, so BABYMETAL was formed around the girls and their talents.
In 2013 Su would be 15 and would graduate from Sakura Gakuin (having the school theme it was for girls aged 10 to 15), but it was decided that BABYMETAL should be her vehicle as she furthered her career as a vocalist and should separate from the Idol group to go with her as an independent band in their own right. The girls were asked if they wanted to continue with BABYMETAL and if their parents agreed - one of the parents told her daughter that if her school grades fell she would no longer be in BABYMETAL.
Between them the girls had agreed to work hard and to continue at least until their 10th anniversary. That happened in 2020 and in 2021 they went on a hiatus and took a break from BABYMETAL to consider their future.
Before that happened Yuimetal was injured or taken ill and missed big shows in December 2017 and was absent for the US tour of 2018. In October 2018 she announced that she was still not fully recovered and had decided to leave the band. Su-metal and Moametal were again given the option to end BABYMETAL at that time - they chose to continue as a duo through to the 10th anniversary, as all 3 had decided they would do.
During their hiatus they again considered their future - Su and Moa chose to continue with BABYMETAL and they returned from their hiatus with concerts in January and a new album in March - and in April they revealed the new third member, Momometal.
In live shows they are supported by the Kami Band, some of the very best session musicians to be found in Japan. For the longer foreign tours since 2019 the Kami Band of the West (American musicians) have been supporting them.
They have about 60 songs now, each one different to the last, they have songs in virtually every metal genre but will also mix and blend so many other styles and genres with the metal. Some songs are good hard metal, some lean towards their pop roots and they do everything in between.
They don't copy anybody or follow the same format as nearly every other band (for a start they have brought choreographed dance to metal - but not dance as you may know it from pop acts).
BABYMETAL are best experienced live. Even they say so themselves. For another reaction I would suggest their first major event outside of Japan, one of the biggest metal festivals in the UK - and they were placed on the main stage in front of 50-60,000 UK metalheads who didn't have a clue who or what they were (and a few that did had only seen the 'Gimme Chocolate' video and thought it was a joke or gimmick and should not be there so had threatened on social media to throw bottles and boo them off stage).
They were aged 16 and just turned 15, in a foreign country where they didn't speak the language and had about 25 minutes, just 5 songs, to win this crowd over.
The last song of the set is 'Ijime, Dame, Zettai' (call it IDZ it means Bullying, No More, For Ever) live at Sonisphere UK 2014. You will hear what the crowd thought of them at the end.

Welcome to the Foxhole and BabyMetal's metalverse, I'm pretty sure i left my comment here when there was no other comment, thanks YT, smh.
I already saw Grington300 comment anyway, he's the one with the right info as well Rick Wagner, Flugelhorn Old Man, MartinMetal, xDeleilax, RoadRunner, and some others.
They got some songs that would fit in anime just like any other Japanese artist, but not always is like that, not in this song neither. It's just a visualization for the lyrics video, when they play this live is a magical and beautiful moment between the girls and the fans like recently at Sabaton's Europe Tour and later at Jakarta and today in Bangkok.
    Keep enjoying BM songs.🦊🤘🔥

@@Tyler_Reacts. Unfortunately there is no live performance of Monochrome on YT worth reacting to. There's a bunch of fancams, and then one on Babymetal Reactor Resource from the January concert that has a large Babymetal logo over it to try to get past YT blocking. We don't mind the logo, or a logo being placed on it, but when going to a potentially new reactor, it's hard to determine where they sit on various things.

Great first reaction! 🤘🦊🤘Thank you for giving BABYMETAL a chance!!! BABYMETAL started back in 2010 when the 3 girls were 11-12 years old, and since then have performed with, toured with, or opened for Metallica, Korn, Sabaton, Bring Me The Horizon, Dragonforce, Guns N' Roses, Lady Gaga, Rob Halford of Judas Priest (there's a great youtube video of their performance with Rob at a metal award show), and Red Hot Chili Peppers (there is a youtube video of them performing Gimme Chocolate with RHCP, as well as with Korn, and DragonForce), to name a few of many. They have performed at large metal events/concerts in front of 65,000+ skeptical metalheads in Europe (Glastonbury, Download, Sonisphere, etc), US, and Asia. They are the first Japanese band to perform at Wembley arena in the UK. Also, 20+ awards have been given to them. They have 60+ songs and each one is different from the other, so I hope you give the other songs a try. By the way, they have some really great heavy songs too, and I hope you like guitar solos, as well as bass and drum solos, like I do, because they have them too.🤘🦊🤘

There are several interpretations of the group name babymetal.
    1. The Japanese pronunciation of babymetal is very similar to the Japanese pronunciation of heavy metal.
    2. The goal of babymetal is to use metal to fuse J-pop and J-rock plus idol culture to create a new type of metal, so baby has the meaning of "new life".
--3. The group was established in 2010, the lead singer is only 13 years old and the two dancers are only 11 years old, very young, in the metal circle this age is also like a baby.--
    use google translate.

In addition, Japanese animation songs usually use J-pop and J-rock, which is why you hear babymetal music has the feeling of animation songs.
Although Japanese animation songs are famous, they are actually only part of J-pop and J-rock Songs .
most of the songs have nothing to do with animation.
Babymetal itself has not sung for animation (but! Before the establishment of babymetal, the lead singer sang for animation in another group, that is another story)

Nice reaction. Welcome to the foxhole. It's deep and full of surprises. Babymetal started over 10 years ago. and are the vanguard of rock/metal bands that have come from Japan in the last ten years. Babymetal does things their own way. Their songs are diverse and like the band are unique. Basically, put they started what is known as Kawaii (cute) which is a whole vibe in Japan and metal. This was the birth of a new subgenre of metal. Which is why they have the name Babymetal also because the word for heavy in Japanese sounds like the English word baby. Japanese love a good pun, and this fits the bill. The music is a metal bass with jpop vocal style on top with whatever genre or genres they feel like putting in the middle. And they will freely add other genres in there. But it doesn't stop with the music. Over the years they have added in different vocal styles as well. One of the things you didn't get to see was them in this lyric visualizer video. They have full on choreography for every song they perform. And have been one of the best live shows over the last decade. And you're going to get lots of request to react to their live performances because of that. They are amazing. They sing about a lot of things but mostly energetic fun strong positive message songs. Feeling down, maybe a low energy day or just having a bad day. Watch Babymetal and all that will go away. Many fans have spoken about how Babymetal has gotten them through some dark times in their lives. They do have a song in English and many of their songs use a sprinkling of English throughout the song. There are translations to all their songs. and some of their videos have subtitles. If you want a deep dive into their lyrics and possible interpretations of their song's checkout Prof AJ Hartley TH-cam channel. He's done just about all of their songs. Many of the fans known as the One will help you out along your journey down the foxhole.

BabyMetal began in 2010 there were Suzuka Nakamoto age 12 Moa Kikuchi and Yui Mizuno (Yui left in 2018 due to health reasons). Both Moa and Yui were 11 years old when the group began.
All three were friends and classmates who attended an idol school/group (Sakura Gakuin) founded in 2010 by Amuse Talent Agency for girls 10 to 15. Themed around school life (they attended regular school as well) the girls would learn and train at vocals, dancing, public speaking and etiquette, etc., graduate at age 15 and then move onto whatever entertainment path they chose or that suited their talents.
Key Kobayashi was a music producer for Amuse and heard Suzuka sing at age 9 and was impressed with her strong vocals and stage presence. Kobayashi was a fan of heavy metal but believed that the genre had become stale and tired (especially in Japan) with metal bands getting old Kobayashi believed the genre needed to be reborn (BabyMetal means the birth of a new metal genre). Kobayashi felt that Suzuka had the ability to front a metal band and that her vocals and presence could withstand the metal guitars and drums. The fusion of Jpop and Metal began. He placed Moa and Yui as backup singers/dancers and a phenomenon was about to result.
At first Amuse showed no interest and the girls had only financing from Kobayashi. They performed at strip malls and small venues using clothes borrowed from friends and family. No money for a real band they had friends dressed in homemade skeleton costumes pretending to play instruments to a backtrack. They became a sensation (these young ladies paid their dues). Amuse saw the potential and in 2012 hired the best session musicians Japan had to offer (The Kami Band) who tours with them today (now includes world class musicians from the USA for tours outside of Asia).
If you choose to explore more of BabyMetal I suggest reacting to LIVE performance videos as this is where they shine.
They have over 50 LIVE songs/performances and each one is different. They are fearless exploring many genres and have the respect of the legends of Metal such as Metallica, Slipknot, Rob Zombie, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Judas Priest and more.
Avoid Glastonbury LIVE performances as the sound production by the BBC (who was in charge of that festival did a terrible job - mics not turned on, incorrect volume levels, etc.)
Suggest reacting to these for a start.
Karate LIVE at 2016 Download Festival in the UK where 60,000+ British metal heads sing along with the girls
    Syncopation LIVE
    Megitsune LIVE at Budokan 2021
Road of Resistance LIVE in Japan
    Headbanger LIVE
    Shine LIVE
    Tales of the Destinies LIVE
Yava LIVE with Kami Band intro at 2017 Fox Festival
Catch Me If You Can LIVE with Kami Band intro
At their concert in Yokohama on April 1 it was announced that a permanent third member Momoko Okazaki (who is also a graduate of Sakura Gakuin and has been appearing with them LIVE since 2019) has officially become the third member.
Their new album in my opinion that released March 24 is amazing with so many different styles.
Good luck and hope to see you again.
