We all want to see them dancing this live, but first they're giving us a glimpse of the meaning behind these songs to know them a little bit more before live concerts. The umbrellas and landscape being destroyed and the tree of life along with the Norse mythology is telling us something meaningful, is sad and hopeful at the same time.🦊🤘🌈

Good reaction. They will be playing their first live shows in Japan in January, in April and May they are touring the UK and Europe with Sabaton, so we will get to see them dancing round and doing what they do again.🦊
This is a beautiful song - but it is deep too. I know nothing about Ragnarok or the Norse mythology being referenced but the consensus is there are also references to the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, even if it is not specifically about those tragic events.
The "monochrome firework" could be the bomb and the tree they used in the visuals throughout and that was finally shown in colour at the end could be the Hiroshima Peace Tree that survived the bombing as well as the tree from Norse mythology.

Monochrome refers to the lack of colour amidst the falling ash following the dropping of the ‘monochrome firework’ upon Su’s birth city - Hiroshima; the song references the fallout seeding rain clouds that them washed down radioactively toxic black rain. I think the umbrellas represent protection but also mirror the shape of the mushroom cloud, as does the survivor tree (also cross referencing the tree of life - Yggdrasil) In Greater Hiroshima there are 170 survivor trees, but they weren’t at the epicentre. Babymetal haven’t provided a theatre concert for 18 months, but if they follow the Metal Galaxy precedent will film ‘live MVs’ at the two concerts in Japan prior to their European tour supporting Sabaton. I would imagine that any dance to Monochrome will be dignified and meaningful and the crowd chorus will reinforce the emotion. Of course the song isn’t only about Hiroshima or Norse Mythology- using imagery to reflect the monochrome of the modern World, but also seeds of hope therein

This song about Norse mythology and the foolish acts and tragedies of human beings repeated all over the world, sung by SU's voice from Hiroshima, is a song that the world needs today. My guess is that it will start with a solo by the band on stage and the audience will sing along with them in the chorus 😭😊 I'm going to cry at the concert in January.

    Nice one, thanks!
You have no idea how much I want to see them dancing again on live shows. And this time, nothing is going to prevent me to watch them performing live next May in Berlin (well, at least I hope so).
Extremely beautiful, sad and meaningful song here... with a final hint of hope. Just smile.

Nice reaction. While the song speaks of Ragnarök. Which is the Norse mythos story for the end of the world. In that story the gods hide two humans in a tree. The tree survives. And the two humans build a better world. Through the visuals and the tittle of the song we get the connection to Japan. It's said that when the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima the world went Monochrome while it went off. This would be then end of Hiroshima. But not so fast. A tree survived the blast. and the survivors built a better place. Just like the Norse mythos says. This is great writing by the lyricist. Making this a song of hope for a better tomorrow. which is why the color returns at the end of the song. Only Babymetal could make a song about the end of the world be hopeful. All hail Su and Moa. Kitsune's UP 🤘🦊🌳

Nice👊🏽⚡️ If I were Koba-metal I would do the same thing with these early releases. Don’t reveal too much and create a hunger to see thes songs performed live..
