i was just thinking “is there any imaginary reviews yet?” and this popped up and i’m happy now
I thought this was the IF "Imaginary Friends" movie by Ryan Reynolds. My bad.. 😂
Judging by the thumbnail we all knew what this was going to be 😂
I walked out of the movie about 2/3 in and I just couldn't take it anymore. I went back to my car waited for my friend who loved it btw and watched youtube videos about UFOs. I told myself if this girl says alley cat one more time...I'm out. Peace!!
I didn't even bother. I bet it's empty theaters rn. I'd rather just watch Maxxxine when it comes out this July.
This is by far one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen, one dude even fell asleep snoring in my theater
i cannot imagine the embarassment from the production team when they hear people literally sleeping whilst watching their movie for the first time...
@@Cruddy129 I wanted to myself I truly think it would have been one of the best naps ever, but I just kept pushing forward trying to find something ANYTHING to get rid of the boredom
At least half the theater I was in walked out and i fell asleep twice. Bad script and over done, bad acting and just a really bad movie period
I thought they were finally giving foster home for imaginary friends a live action movie
I loved that show, it was great and a little sad when you think about it.
Darth Vader to Blumhouse: 🤨 "I find yout lack of IMAGINATION... disturbing!"
That endless corridor thing you can't put on Blumhouse. It's a certified trope.
@@Ioganstone Than why are they using it when its been over done so much. This is the same movie as night swim and just as bad. One is demon in the pool the other is Demon in your imagination.
@@ksmooth1973 Because it was only done for other movies, might be the first time for them. The symbolic demons is definitely their bag though.
I get it. It's this weird trend in horror right now where it's trendier to be creepy but never give any payoff. I don't know why it's a trend, but even the games Matpat and Markiplier play are creepy and uncomfortable but not scary.
Yeah, I've noticed that too. It's like everybody decided all at once to put out psychological horror games, a lot of them seem PT inspired, but, like you said, forgot the payoff.
It sucks to see what imagery friends have been up to since Foster's closed.
She just sits there staring at snow globe. What she think about? Ok dear enough now
Love how AJ listens to the darkest of metals yet knows a reggaetón song I’ve NEVER heard of💀
When I heard that, all I could think was "and people think Metal sounds unlistenable, when that song is out there?"
@@FearFrontierOFFICIAL It does have a sort of 'tune' to vibe or jam to it at least, and at least you can "ping-pong" the lyrics and whatnot. Music shouldn't be all viking blood-yelling for it to be listenable
Alex is stuck in a horror loop. You got OJ at home BAD movies and then AJ big screen BAD movies. I would've died a long time ago..
I just want to note that in Dragon Age: Inquisition, there is a miniaturized great bear running around the Black Emporium (the magic shop run by Xenon the Antiquarian). That bear’s name is Chauncey.
Do people realize blumhouse sucks ass at horror yet?
And yet they are paying MILLIONS just to gamble what can work and what they have no faith in and uses it for mere filler content
I want a angry joe plush
I would buy one but I hear plush’s are pretty tedious to manufacture and sell
2024 for movies might end up as the year of movies that "existed" and Dune Part 2
@@cinemaclips6074 yeah but it's supposed to be a good future selection. I'm really excited for terrifier 3
AI is already writing movies and shows they wanna lie and say its not happening but the quality drop the past few years (or decade at this point) is VERY noticeable.
Some people are just bad writers. It's the lack of self awareness that's the problem nowadays really
Some great content to get me through this Friday shift!
I didn't even know this was a horror movie. I thought it was supposed to be the family film. I legit got this mixed up with the Ryan Reynolds movie.
If good content like 'Shogun' isn't reviewed soon Alex will go crazy one day... :)
1:37 joe during a job interview lmao
Without even looking at the review first, is this another movie where the little girl has an imaginary friend, mom and dad always walk in the room and she's talking to herself then further down the line they find out it's an actual pissed off demon living in the house...yawn, thats what it looks like from the previews.
From the trailer it looks like Walmart brand poltergeist, kid has ghost friends that the parents this are fake but are real gets taken to a different world family has to get her back, it’s literally poltergeist
@@fernandohernandez8373I'd rather just watch poltergeist. At least that one was scary. Heck I'd even rather watch the family guy parody special of poltergeist
This was the worst Blumhouse movie so far as I was kinda falling asleep towards the end. Atleast Five Nights at Freddy’s was better.
Five nights at Freddy's was leagues better. At least it could lean on it's iconic animatronics. That's not here.
OJ in every bad movie review: "I don't care about the characters"
Every time OJ brings up “The exorcist” it brings a smile to my face
Love the energy in this video. Thank you for taking one for the team seeing this for us 🫡
Ai has to be coming up with these recent blumhouse ideas
The bear in the call of duty zombies game is scarier than any "evil" bear in horror movies
A guilty pleasure "imagination movie" would be Dropdead Fred. Not sure how it holds up today, but I enjoyed it a while back...
I'm 40 and seen it for the first time a few months ago, and I really liked drop dead Fred.
We watched damsel tonight!
It was ok.....at best.
Another case of white man bad or a quivering wreck!
Seeing ray winston, as a down trodden king, was painfull to see.
Yeah i wouldnt recommend it, unless u want some background noise.
There was no peril, no danger.
No excitement.
Another case of girl chopping wood, becomes a princess, then becomes a dragon warrior, who can suddenly wield this big heavy sword, like its made of tinfoil.
Very unbelievable.
One fix, they were already princesses, they just needed to be part of the bloodline for the dragon.
white guys play tha best villains yall dont complain whens it a "white savior" story
I thought she was an asshole. She killed tons of people over the actions of the royals. It was hilarious when I realized the movie was trying to paint her as a hero
“Only his name isn’t Bing Bong, it’s Chauncey.” - actual line from the movie
When u reviewing spaceman. I feel like I’m the only one that loved it.
Man, the best thing I can think of named Imaginary is the Evanescence song. I'd rather listen to that song for as many times as the length of this movie over watching this movie!
Did you have an imaginary friend?....they walked out on me. 😅 Gold dust OJ 😂
Y’all see akira toriyama died ☹️
As soon as I saw who was directing this, I lost hope
@@Spiralredd Really what was pretty good about it and you are definatly in a minority. Just look at all the other horror movie this clown of a director destroyed. The last Conjuring, exorcist, nun2, etc.
Oh yeah, I forgot about Raised By Wolves. I never did get around to watching the 2nd season, too bad it got cancelled because I was waiting for the series to get to the "final season" before I invested the rest of my time into watching past the 1st season.
Raised by Wolves was so cool. The second season was dope, it opened some very interesting ideas ... which we now will never get a resolution to :(
A lot of kids I grew up with used to pretend scissors were guns..... How are people these days so uncreative
akira toriyama died, are yall gonna make a video
The problem is these movies are so cheap Blumhouse will make money regardless, Night Swim ended up making millions cuz it only had a 15 million budget, this movie only has a 13 million budget, I honestly think unless Blumhouse destroys their reputation they will never have to be better
No. Brahms The Boy 2 was more "SO BAD ITS GOOD" compared to this. I already knew it was gonna be bad when i saw it after Sonic 2. I left that room exactly how i expected. Back to the pre pandemic days.
Imaginary would've taken that concept and botched it even more.
I'm thinking it was rushed out because of IF, or made the release date later to be closer.
How come the father wasn’t at the end of the movie? That made no sense.
So no one else wondering who’s phone number the therapist gave to the step mom? Felt like we missed something there
If I was trapped in a realm of imagination...... I would be launching Kamehameha waves.
Haven't seen a horror movie in 3 decades. Actually haven't been to a theater since the early 90's
“It’s not scary”
Do people not realize that horror is subjective? If you find something scary, then others won’t find it scary and vice versa. We all have different fears.
And when it comes to horror, not everyone is in it for the scares. Some people just want to watch a different kind of story with a unique plot. Im not saying that “Imaginary” is unique, but you can watch it without the need to be scared. You can just enjoy it for what it is.
And is “Imaginary” the best horror movie ever made? No. And is it the worst? No. Whatever the case may be, I wouldn’t not watch it. Because depending on the person, they might or might not like it. For it is all subjective.
The father goes out for milk in the middle of the movie and never returns. He was the real Chauncey after all.
Im disappointed that AJ didn't do the whole review as the plush 😅
The Teddy bear looked like it was becoming a grizzly bear not an alien.
I forgot this movie was a thing
Blumhouse horror sits on so much potential. Sometimes they really nail it, and I can’t say there’s that many absolute travesties from them, but the majority of their library is just middle of the road.
Like they have fantastic ideas but execution never quite reaches what you hope to see from them.
If you sell angry joe plushies they'd sell
As soon as I saw that it was rated PG13, I understood that it wasn't for me
Best thing about the movie was Chauncey's theme. Which sounded a lot like the Home alone theme lol
Imagine if Mr Burns teddybear BoBo was cursed?😅
Judging from the thumbnail, this is going to be a good review of a bad movie.
AJ: At 11:15 "... not much else to say..."
Me: *sees video has another 46 minutes to go*
🤣🤣🤣
My son and i just saw imaginary. He was bored 😴 i was upset. We both imagined a scarier movie
I couldn't help but notice, isn't this the same plot as an episode of Tales from the Darkside? "Ursa Minor."
I actually watched that the other day. I was sitting in the theater before it started watching the beginning of this lol. It wasn't amazing by any means, but my 13 year old and I still enjoyed it. I give it a 6 personally.
“Maybe we shouldn’t play together anymore Josie! Maybe we shouldn’t be friends!!!!”
This movie is better than night swim 6:53
Everybody should go back and watch the horror movie Hide and Seek with Robert De Niro and Dakota Fanning. Great underrated movie about an imaginary friend.
15:31 "There's no imagination in the imagination place"
Sums up the entire film
00:24 Owhh... smol AngyJoel
I was literally about to watch it tonight but my daughters imaginary friend told me to watch kung fu panda instead 😂
Dudes speaking about the end in the non-spoiler section 🤦🏻♂️
I was disappointed That the uh Jessica did not use her fear spider To fight the bear I thought there was going to be a monster versus monster battle at the end I was also disappointed when I thought that When she realizes that the bear is not real and no one actually physically saw the bear It would have turned into A case of her actually going crazy and she was the one that killed people And it wasn't Supernatural at all That would have been a nice twist and it'd be purely Psychotic break But then Before that Alice was Getting Interview I thought the camera would see the spirits or the ghost or the bear or whatever And just because that seemed very predictable but it didn't and I thought They missed that opportunity Predictable or not.
Once they reached the imaginary world it felt too reminiscent of Zathura or maybe an Alice in Wonderland realm where it was more Adventure and puzzle and didn't get actually scary until the Mind fucking began and the questions of if they were back in the real world brewed like in smile but unfortunately they didn't go as far as smile did
Was on the fence about this one but will definitely be going to see it based on y’all’s review- sounds like an instant classic
Its amazing how writers who write mediocre films like Truth or dare, or fantasy Island keep getting gigs
Alex questioning his life choices @1:56. This must've been bad!
Is there beef between Joe and Alex??
Joe always looks so disinterested when Alex talks almost like he just can’t stand listening to him.
I’ve noticed this for quite some time and in most of their videos.
Is there some aggro between them?
This is a horror movie? I thought it was that movie with the imaginary friends. No that's IF
Silly me…I thought if there was nearly an hour of a review, I assumed they loved it 🤣🤣
Plush Joe finally got his moment
it would be Blumballs instead of blueballs
PLEEEEEAASE start watching Shogun on Hulu- its 10/10 every episode so far
There was only one family in the theater when I went. They left halfway through and I don’t blame them at all 💀.
They could’ve made it Ted 3.
Well idk if Ted 3 is happening but it did a get a TV show spinoff which is pretty damn funny. It came out like a month ago
Should've kept the teddy like Chucky and just made it look deranged when it went it went for evil....
They saw the trailers and weren't expecting a steaming pile of horse shit? I don't buy that
Damnit Joe, why did you have to play that song at the beginning... that pin pon shit has been stuck in my head the entire day now lol
I think I was intrigued by the concept of this movie not everything has to be so damn scary that you literally shit your pants it feels like I'm the only one who seems to enjoy a simple not overly complex movie and enjoy certain lovecraftian parallels as well as parallels that could be found in Alice in Wonderland perhaps I drink too much wine while listening to everyone spew out crap
Don’t they do test screenings for audience feedback so they can make changes before release if it isn’t received well? Because it seems like the movie has good ideas that went to waste.
If you want a good horror movie right now, watch "Shaitaan"
From the day that this trailer dropped. I said to myself this is going to be complete trash. You could just see it. No need for me to go see it.
I am just tired of the “normal/harmless thing made into something scary” cliché in almost every mainstream horror film nowadays. Did Creepypasta authors decide to join the film industry?
How dare this movie stand where 'Don't Look Under the Bed' stood
Spoiler:

My gods...I knew I was in for a bad bit of story telling when they said "The house isn't ready" and "We should just move in early", but 5 minutes later Boy Toy says Exposition Grandma tried to buy it. So someone bought it, but left it EXACTLY like she left it? Didn't paint over her wall writing or...?
I have never even heard of this
This had the feel of someone blowing the dust off their Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends fan fic and giving it the Blood&Honey treatment
Honestly i enjoyed the film but in a dumb fun kind of way. Like yeah sure it should have been rated 12 and a supernatural thriller film not a 15 horror film but ah well 😅😅
if the idea interested you. read the comic imaginary fiends. its about a cop whose imaginary friend is still around. and it has a horrior idea like this movie. but its actually good
When you realize the teddy bear looks more scary then the actual monsters
They should have made it a full on killer teddy bear movie. At least then it would have been sorta scary
This made my decision easier. I was debating whether or not to see it. Now I'm gonna wait for maxxxine in July. Hopefully that's better
"The January horror movie that somehow showed up in March"
Sums up what we all thought about this film perfectly
FUCK YOU ITS JANUARY
You all think like professional movie critics? Since when? You hate them. That's what the critics say.
😢
@@vidmasterK1 here's the point here's you over here missing it
I don't get it, I don't live in the USA if that matters.
