If they really wanted a movie with no dialog they should have made the protagonist deaf and we see the entire movie through their point of view, but him not being able to talk and they did almost nothing with that
On Netflix, I recently watched a John wick lite movie with a mute protagonist that was better than this movie sounds. It's called, appropriately enough, Mute. It stars Stellan Skarsgard as an amish mute in a cyberpunk future looking for his missing girlfriend and beating up gangsters with a plank of wood. The movie has dialogue because only the main protagonist is mute AND it also stars Paul Rudd as a guy who is much more of a morally reprehensible villain than he typically plays. Plus, it also features a brief appearance of the living legend that they call "The Don" from the billion dollar film Captain Marvel. Is it better than John wick? No. But I would recommend giving it a watch because it seems to me like it had a similar basic premise to this movie, but it sounds like Mute did it better.

Yeah, remember John Woo's big comeback movie on Netflix a few years ago? (I completely forgot the title, and do not feel like looking it up.) That was awful, too.
John Woo is reportedly making his comeback to American action projects, after a nearly 20-year hiatus. The legend of Hong Kong action filmmaking is said to be partnering with John Wick franchise producers Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee for Silent Night, a high-concept project that will see Swedish actor play a father looking for revenge in the criminal underworld after his son is murdered.
Dont say it's not innovative! I lost it for the 56th time when a stunt guy on the stairs gets shot dead, rolls down 5 steps, lands on his feet, is immediately picked up and being used as a body shield HAS TO WALK UP THE STAIRS BACKWARDS helping the hero to use him.
Why do we get so many "someone is killed/taken so i go on a revenge quest" movies? Its like, after john wick we get a lot. Nobody, this one, there was one in recent years but it was a woman doing it i think (cant remember). Just why?

If I had a film that would recommend, that would be Hard Target. It’s ridiculous, buts it’s also entertaining. It really showcase what John Woo is capable of, unlike this film. Even Mission Impossible 2 felt like it was made by John Woo.
I think John Woo was just sitting in a wheelchair, his head in another universe, and someone else actually did this. Or alternatively, he should have been sitting in a wheelchair, his head in another universe, because he is no longer qualified... And that would be even more sad. :(
No! I was looking forward to this one. It looked like a movie that had a lot of wacky action, kind of like the show Happy. There is nothing worse than a boring bad movie. Damn.
It was very disappointing the movie doesn't have the complex and well crafted action scenes like John wick. Which is disappointing since John Woo created the Gun Hoo genre
Most media in any time period is a waste of time. The quantities has gone up but I think the ratio has stayed fairly consistent. Who knows how much garbage got released on VHS, DVD, and now streaming.
I did not like this movie. I thought I'd love it. I was wrong. The whole movie felt like a big montage. Many of the scenes didn't have time to breathe. There were some fun concepts, but it was rushed, forced and disjointed. I fell asleep during the big action sequence at the end, and I didn't bother finishing it. I feel like that was a good call.

YES
Boring?! Damn
Majorly disappointed. I was looking forward to this one after not really being interested in a lot of stuff released in the past few years.
I usually don’t feel schadenfreude…but your pain of how bad this movie was gave me absolute pleasure and satisfaction. Thank you for your service, boys!! We appreciate the sacrifice
If I had a film that would recommend, that would be Hard Target. It’s ridiculous, buts it’s also entertaining. It really showcase what John Woo is capable of, unlike this film. Even Mission Impossible 2 felt like it was made by John Woo.
I agree it was nothing like I thought it would be
I think John Woo was just sitting in a wheelchair, his head in another universe, and someone else actually did this.
Modern movies are almost totally a waste of money. For a variety of reasons. Not all, most.
Most media in any time period is a waste of time. The quantities has gone up but I think the ratio has stayed fairly consistent. Who knows how much garbage got released on VHS, DVD, and now streaming.
now they want to replace the past. just watch Silent Night, Deadly Night! there's like 4 of them!
I'm not surprised.
"SO STUPID & Disappointing!" can sum up 90% of all movies and games that have come out withing the past 10 years or so.
I thought this was a remake of that bee movie silent night deadly night lol
I loved this movie you guys are thinking to hard not the best movie ever but I really enjoyed it for what it is the action was great
I did not like this movie.
You guys need to watch Godzilla minus One. It was amazing. Maybe the best kaiju movie ever made.
