I am a 1500 rated blitz player and I feel that at least one out of five games I play is against a cheater. Most of these players play too sharply for a 3min game, may blunder at the beginning and then start crushing you like Mittens or so. If you ever played an engine you instantly feel something is wrong.
The issue isnt with cheating all the time, its when people get into trouble, they'll use an engine to get out of it. Maybe they see an opening they've never seen before, so they quick open a book, or look online for the common variations of that opening and turn it into an open-notes test. It's noticeable in the lower levels when your opponent takes forever on the first few moves, and then plays rapid for the entire opening. I play certain odd variations expecting to throw off my opponents at my rating, and its amazing how many 1500's know the exact book opening for variations they've never seen in their online history. Those accounts seem to never get banned either. Only the fools who play the engine moves every time get banned.
also most of them are in rapid arena, like, they are like 1700 elo or 1800, even 1600 and they beat players of like 2000, it happens to me all the time.
Next example.blitz 5 mnts match. A vietnamese player rated 1630+-effcient cheater-won all his games and last one against a 1850 US player also a cheater. One of the best games ever watched-both built up vvv vvv formations of pawns in opp.color squares. The 1850 took his K to the a8 square playing black-in zig zag manner-not castled. I knew the one who tried to break through the pawn formation would lose,But with about 30 secs left the 1850 broke through on the a,b,c files and won the game with less than 20 seconds to spare.

I couldn't 'agree with u more. But in daily games cheaters get banned sooner as if there is complaint they take it seriously.I play 5 mnts blitz and found from 1000 to 1400 they have the same standard.
Me too, I also noticed this when I play blitz or bullet like how they so fast in the middlegame and think like forever in the opening. I blame myself for being a bad player but when I think they are cheating they don't get banned like say about a month and I believe I was bad. 😅 I have faced it mostly in blitz and sometimes in bullet . Rapid is pretty ok
Rapid has more amateur cheaters using an engine they have open in another tab or on their phone. Blitz and bullet have cheaters using actual scripts that can play for them, draw arrows for the best move, and even automate intermittent cheating throughout the game to avoid bans.
I'm around 2050 and I know for a fact I was playing atleast 40% cheaters, always new accounts, nowadays I only play unranked as a guest and it's not any better but atleast I don't lose any elo. They really don't care as long as people keep paying to use their garbage site. Oh, and Lichess falsely accused me of cheating so I won't play there anymore. Guess I'm fucked either way. Not that there aren't cheaters there aswell.
It’s always funny when the cheater gets cocky and turns off the engine for the endgame. Recently played a game against someone who played 10+ moves of obscure opening theory, but couldn’t find a way to beat me when he got to a rook, king endgame. Chased me all over the board until we drew on time. 😂
You have no idea how easy that is for anybody that knows anything about computer software. You can easily find a bunch of widgets that do this exact thing you speak of. Github has an ENORMOUS community of people that all create software for cheating at online chess. I know it blew my mind when I found out too.
I can't even play. Anyone who has played a lot of chess can tell how obvious it is. Ive played a lot of games vs stockfish. Human games usually feel different than stockfish games. On lichess it always feels like stockfish, and the strategy becomes trying to bait your opponent into playing a human move and losing. A common thing that happens is when the opponent wins in a complicated game, and tries to convert an easy win it becomes obvious they can barely checkmate in a completely winning endgame on their own.
@Redmacthe1 I only play 3 min games, openings I really know well, and get tactical during the last min bc usually that's when cheaters will have to start playing due to time pressure.
I think the vast majority of 3 check players on chesscom are legitimate. I could say even 99% or more. But you'll probably find more quality players on lichess anyway. It might be hard to even find games, except for tournaments, but even there, they're mostly beginners who don't know theory.
because nobody wants to put in the work that it takes to be good at something. They think there's some sort of social award for being good at chess or something.

There is money is selling your account... I am an 800 player for true... When someone at my level goes 20 moves without any miss or blunder, and like you said... Look at their time remaining... 2:20 to my 1 min... especially after they lost a few pieces early... I just laugh and call them out... Their favorite "thanks for the compliment"... Or "what do you mean?"
they could be smurfing, or maybe they just don't blunder, if you're 800 you're just incapable of catching cheaters, show your games to someone who's at least 2000
You think I would have made this video if "reporting" them did anything? Some accounts I've reported every couple of months with nothing happening, despite it being obvious.
Damn bro how does one even cheat in bullet?? Dont you need a little more than a second to enter the move and get the engine's opinion... Even if you didnt need to do it manually it's still it would still take time to look at the move whether it is on a different screen or on a different tab like... It would still take more than 1 second how do you cheat in 0.7 seconds what???
It is terrible. I am not even that good (only 1300 rating) and even in this rating class i play games where my opponent has an accuracy of 93-95% at least 2 times in about 2 hours of playing.
Hehe i am now 400 elo.I can beat my friend who is 1450 elo ewery time but i cant climb from 400 elo :D I had one play where i had 86% accuracy and lost to 100% i dont know how is that even posible that he had 100%
Why are you so surprised that your opponent plays too quickly if it is a bullet game?🙄 Speed is supposed to be the first thing that shows that the person is not a cheater actually
The suspicion arises from the flat move times across the board for each move. Every move has such a similar or equal time that it's almost inhuman to accomplish such metronome like timing I think is what he's getting at. Which is why I asked the question what does it look like to cheat in this manner from the cheaters perspective because it's almost like they're not even playing at all by the sound of it.
@@AyrtonTwigglichess is atrocious. There's also plainly a lot of bots. Between bots and cheaters online chess is sadly pointless. May as well practice against stockfish.

That almost never happens to me on lichess.
But on cc in the top corner, it tells my opponent what opening and side variation im using DURING THE GAME!
I used to play only daily for some time I have to say to anyone to avoid daily games and tourneys as the plague unless you play with friends or players you know, it's a waste of so much time
I play daily 960 and so far I got no suspicious games. Maybe there are more cheaters in standard daily. And also in rapid, my god rapid is so full of cheaters it's almost unplayable
@@insertnamehere6280 they are literally everywhere, but losing your time ond daily games that can take weeks to finish its really bad
I come across cheaters almost every day, crazy how I beat one the other day and they accuse me of cheating lol
More than half of guest players are cheating
It’s always funny when the cheater gets cocky and turns off the engine for the endgame. Recently played a game against someone who played 10+ moves of obscure opening theory, but couldn’t find a way to beat me when he got to a rook, king endgame. Chased me all over the board until we drew on time. 😂
so by cheaters do you mean like there are using a bot engine to premake moves at grandmaster level and if so how is that even possible ?
Search up "chessbotx" on youtube
You have no idea how easy that is for anybody that knows anything about computer software. You can easily find a bunch of widgets that do this exact thing you speak of. Github has an ENORMOUS community of people that all create software for cheating at online chess. I know it blew my mind when I found out too.
Or you play all game by repeating moves from chessnextmove and bam you have 98% accuracy and you cant lose
Lichess is filled with cheaters too
Yes.
Had no idea it was this bad. Was going to get my 3 check rating up over there but I might be second guessing now XD
I think the vast majority of 3 check players on chesscom are legitimate. I could say even 99% or more. But you'll probably find more quality players on lichess anyway. It might be hard to even find games, except for tournaments, but even there, they're mostly beginners who don't know theory.
I just don't get it....why? Id rather be a poor 1900 player, than a cheating 2200
because nobody wants to put in the work that it takes to be good at something. They think there's some sort of social award for being good at chess or something.
@@ReadIcculus93 Imagine actually having to work hard to achieve something. Way easier to just cheat, unfortunately.
kept getting these messages too , i am 106 elo , so they cheating on me which makes me feel even worse cause i cant get past 120 elo , i am such bad player
how you cheat at chess variants?
cheater vs cheater how hysterical
So many cheaters? Why? It must be fun. Cheating must be fun.
Bullet doesnt matter. Is a minigame.
When I play against bots I can hold my own pretty competently against 12-1400 analysis says I play around 11-1200 but I’ve been getting rolled the last year by like 600s
I'm trying to check time stamps of my previous games but they removed it already :(
I know trying to find the timestamps afterwards can be a bit tricky, but they're there somewhere. You might just have to go to the "correct" game page?
I cheat using a different engine than stockfish
There is money is selling your account...
I am an 800 player for true... When someone at my level goes 20 moves without any miss or blunder, and like you said... Look at their time remaining... 2:20 to my 1 min... especially after they lost a few pieces early... I just laugh and call them out...
Their favorite "thanks for the compliment"... Or "what do you mean?"
What are some of your go-to openings as an 800 rated player?
they could be smurfing, or maybe they just don't blunder, if you're 800 you're just incapable of catching cheaters, show your games to someone who's at least 2000
You can also report for cheating which make it easier to ban then.
Look up ChessBotX
It is terrible. I am not even that good (only 1300 rating) and even in this rating class i play games where my opponent has an accuracy of 93-95% at least 2 times in about 2 hours of playing.
high accuracy doesn't mean cheating , it's totally normal to have 97 accuracy at all ratings
Hehe i am now 400 elo.I can beat my friend who is 1450 elo ewery time but i cant climb from 400 elo :D I had one play where i had 86% accuracy and lost to 100% i dont know how is that even posible that he had 100%
Encourage the beautiful game not other things cheating fixing etc
Luckily I haven't played against much cheaters, but yeah its clear they are cheating
wow ur right the person u accused are banned
But lichess has way more cheaters and no events…
We stick to lichess
Guys How can u tach eithout getting banned
What to do if u get banned ?
If a cheater gets banned, they can make a new account in like 10 seconds.
Been cheating for a year now. No ban. If you can't beat them , join them
thats just sad
Wow you’re pathetic
If you want to make your video speak need captivating video titles like "how to beat cheaters" , or "how I beat cheaters" ... 🎉
Which is why I asked the question what does it look like to cheat in this manner from the cheaters perspective because it's almost like they're not even playing at all by the sound of it.
i think narodistky and hikaru and the only humans that can play a bullet game without thinking for more than a second
They cheat on lichess too though
no cheaters on lichess?
Of course cheaters can be everywhere, but I definitely encountered way, way more on chesscom
@@AyrtonTwigglichess is atrocious. There's also plainly a lot of bots. Between bots and cheaters online chess is sadly pointless. May as well practice against stockfish.
I would like to see what it looks like from the cheaters perspective to achieve these flat move times.
How are they achieving it?
Why is this flying under the radar of cheat detection?
New account and certain country's are dead giveaway
Wow! Just wow...
I have been winning on time also
i think lichess is the worst
definitely not as bad but lag is still certainly a problem
damn
damn
damn
Well, if you think you’ll escape from cheaters playing on lichess instead, you’ll be very quickly disappointed, it’s even worse there unfortunately. Life is life
i will never go to lichess
the anti cheat system actually got a lot better
It hasn't. I'm sorry but they just don't care anymore. They don't even publish the number of closed accounts to fair play anymore. Having played blitz on and off for 10 years, I should know.
@@mooseminddayan4650 sad world we live in
Lichess isn't much better.
I've been playing on lichess too, and so far I haven't played a single cheater in tournaments. Or even in a long time, for that matter.
@@AyrtonTwigg You have played some.
@ayrton Twigg read all my comments
@@mychessvideos61 I'm sure I did, but it's not even close compared to chesscom. Just yesterday I pulled out my phone to play some games, and the 2nd bullet game I played was a cheater.
Ayrton, all these online platforms are overrun with cheaters. Lichess has many cheaters, too. Online chess really suffers from this garbage.
