    I like your vids!
    I own the same model year!
    Commuting on the RT is just a party. I use it even in winter.
    Can you make a walk around someday? Keep it up.

      @@harrykramer7479 thanks. And indeed, the wind protection makes all the difference for an enjoyable ride in winter.
      I’ll consider a walk around. But it has been properly used over the years and is by no means a show bike.

      @@smirnaftThe RT is not ment to be a showbike. Mine is not perfect either 😂

    Just ride, that’s the spirit. What year is your bike?

      It is a 2010

    The clocks are good in subdued light but awful in full sun. But still love my RT

      @@stevetaylor8698 I agree. I tend to watch my speed on the Navi rather than on the clocks.

    Currently looking to buy a 2011 model. Of course it has an analog speedometer, but can you also see your speed on the digital screen?

    • @smirnaft
      @smirnaft  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@retroll66 no, you can not. I tend to check my speed on the gps rather than on the speedometer if I’m honest.

      @@smirnaft Yeah that makes sense I guess. I suppose you don't actually need a digital speedo if GPS does it for you. Makes going through our lovely Dutch trajectory speed control sections on our highway a bit easier.

    • @smirnaft
      @smirnaft  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@retroll66 not only will the GPS show you when you are speeding in a specific area. It will also warn you when you enter a controlled section and calculate your average speed within that section.

    Very nice video and good audio with no wind noise at all!
    what windscreen is this? it looks like Isotta!

    • @smirnaft
      @smirnaft  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I’m glad you like it. It is a Wunderlich touring screen. It’s a little bigger than standard, but I can easily look over it without any wind buffeting.

    What riding gear do you use for typical Belgian weather?

    • @smirnaft
      @smirnaft  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      My typical gear on the RT would consist of my Stadler pants which are GoreTex and a D-Dry Dainese touring jacket, both do a good job of keeping me dry and comfortably warm.
      My favorite boots are Daytona Road Star GTX. Very durable and water resistant
      Mid season Richa gloves and an extra Hevik glove that go over them when it is really raining hard.
      My favorite helmet would be my Shoei Neotec II closely followed by the SHoei GT Air.
      The RT itself does a pretty good job of protecting you against the elements. So you can get away with more comfortable riding gear than you typically would on other motorcycles.
      The Heated seat and grips also help when it gets really cold in winter.
