Tesla 2025.2 Preconditioning when Routing to Third Party Chargers

In late January 2025 Tesla released 2025.2, and among the enhancements was the ability to navigate to non-Tesla fast chargers with CCS or NACS plugs and still turn on the preconditioning of the battery pack. This feature is documented here, and we find out that although the trip planner acknowledges that non-Tesla fast chargers exist, at least so far in this update, for the routes we checked, the trip planner doesn't seem to consider these non-Tesla charging sites in its routing algorithm.
