Nostalgic shave. Nacet blades are in my Top 3 for sure. Smooth, sharp, and durable. Elvis released "Hound Dog" in 1956. His first #1 hit, "That's All Right", was released in 1954! It's hard to believe Elvis has been gone for 45 years.
Hey Paul. I love my fat handle Gillette Tech. They are tried and true so to speak. I used my new Razorine FlatBoy. It gives a pretty aggressive shave if you don’t pay attention. It has a very thin head and a lot of blade exposure. I use my PAA cube religiously, no matter what soap I am going to use. Love Mrs H floral arrangement. Take care and be safe.
Really enjoy your videos! You have inspired me to take up the wet shaving hobby! I live in Japan and Gatsby is a big brand out here but I have never seen their shaving cream. Wet shaving isn't very popular out here despite the birthplace of the Feather blade! Looking forward to your next video.
Good morning Paul!!! Gorgeous display by Mrs H, and some great choices for your mid week shave. My mid week SOTD will be the Edwin Jagger DE89 with a Feather blade, Omega Boar Brush, Ariana and Evans Slick Stick preshave, Stirling Margaritas in the Arctic soap and aftershave, with some Nivea 2 phase splash to finish the shave. Meal of the day will be some New York Strip Steak with some sautéed Merlot mushrooms, grilled asparagus, Caesar salad, and dutchess potatoes. Have a wonderful day and stay safe!!!
Nicely done.SOTD was the Karve CB aluminum open comb C plate with a new Personna Superior blade. Stirling Deep Blue Sea. Fantastic results. BBS baby. Thayers Lavender witch hazel and Nivea Sensitive Balm. Nautical Voyage Sport cologne. Take care.
Hi Paul- Great Wednesday shave, thank you! The Gillette Tech looks great! I was born in 1956 and I think the razor looks better than I do after all these years😀! Lovely flowers, as always, from Mrs H; thank you! I hope you have a great rest of the week. Be safe and be well. See you on Sunday for the weekend shave. All the best, Paul!
Nice vintage Gillette, I'm going to have to start looking for some and start a 'small' collection of vintage razors. I ordered a RazoRock, German 37 Slant Razor, that should be here sometime today. I'm probably gonna try the Palmolive, classic scent shave cream, from the tube or the La Toja shave stick.
Nicely done Paul💈💈 I have the exact razor in the leather case with blade holder(part of my vintage collection), looks brand new and is a wonderful shaver. Impressive display of flowers Mrs H, beautiful, thanks. SOTD: PAA Cube, PAA "Soltice" soap/splash/ EDT, PAA synth brush, RazoRock "Lupo" razor w/Personna German blade, alum, witch hazel and AV 5in1 balm to end...Glorious. Fish is a favorite and Kippers are tasty. Great video and results today. Have an easy week ahead, see you this weekend. Enjoy!
Great shave Paul 💈 Beautiful flowers Mrs H 💐 Astral cream brings back memories. My mum used to use that for hand cream back in the day! Hope you're both well 💈💐💈
Hey Paul great shave I was hoping you could share some news when your new shave brush is coming out. I agree with you it's really nice to be able to take your time picking your shave out. That's what I do every Thursday 😂. Take care
I've only just recently acquired a Tech for myself, but mine is like the Upside Down of yours. Mine is a 1965, ball-end, and standard silver. Absolutely stunning though. Looks brand damn new, like it just came off the production line yesterday. Shaves beautifully too.
Fantastic shave- Paul just saw your Instagram and I am hungry for angus roast with carrots, onions and lashings of gravy. But the fat handle tech is such a great razor- depending on the blade, a beginner or old hand can go from knock it down to bbs.
Woah! Get back here! You mean to say you didn't add 'Certain Death' Chillies to the Kippers? 😂 Lovely shave Paul, and yes, there is nothing better than a fragrance evoking memories of another time and place. All the best to you and Mrs.H, oh and congratulations on reaching the World Cup 👍🏻
Great shave Paul Those PAA cubes are great...i've tried the bamboo charcoal cube and the Enigma cube (wild strawberry oud). both are just fantastic compliment to any soap. I'm hooked on those.
Mrs.H birthday flowers are lovely, someone has good taste. Never seen that shaving cream before, great looking vintage 1956 Fat handle Tech though, the year of the Melbourne Olympics and my parents bought their first small TV (20in B&W I think) to watch the Olympic broadcasts, I was 4 at the time. I like fish and chips...lol Have a great week Paul👊😎👍
Great shaving video fun stuff flowers also nice as usual great job Mrs H.YES LOVE FISH if fresh meaning when my dad caught them himself from supermarket no thank you not fresh enough stay safe, cheers....Peter
Hi Paul I have early 60s tech and 1970s tech the 70s one seems more aggressive they say 1940s is milder than 60s wounder could you do comparison video of three razors that tech is like a James bond movie tpye 😀
@@PaulHFilms thanks Paul the blade gap looks bigger on my 1970s than early 60s feel more aggressive .any way thanks for all excellent videos Paul best wishes 👍
Splendid shave, Paul. Wonder how that shave cream performs w/o any pre-shave? I've been getting solid results and longevity from the Gillette Winner blades. See you for the Sunday shave.
Good morning Paul. Since I now have a few safety razors that are different. Have I noticed that every blade is different in every other safety razor. I would put sharp blades like the Feather in a gentle razor and mild blades like the Treet Carbon in an efficient razor. What do you think? You can combine a lot.
Good morning, yes I think the combination’s you can do regarding razors and blades is amazing, as they can feel so different, and you find a great combination every now and again which really stands out in a great shave.
Excellent shave Paul! I really like that razor. In general, do you think the vintage Gilletes are as good (or better) than the average modern razor? About the little flies when you bring your chilis inside... are they just regular old fruitflies? The last time I grew chilis inside, that's what they looked like to me. Regarding scents & memory: the scent of cherry Chapstick always reminds of me of this one girl with strawberry blonde hair. I think I was 13 and she was a little older. She let me ride her horse with her sometimes. I got to sit behind her and put my arms around her waist. Heaven. 😊
Hi Paul I managed to get the original cube and the V2 your using and I have shaved just with the V2, Once, don't use a aggressive Blade unless your growth is heavy, well for me that is you could be different? Have you tried it lol 🍄

It appears to me that you could shave with just the Cube preshave. Have you tried that?

I had two of these razors with the original case. They were in mint condition, I Regret selling them but need the money at the time.
