Love the look, miles better than previous models. Front end is fantastic. Well done Suzuki. I like the tft displays but agree with some comments. LCD is reliable, bulletproof and looks good enough for many people.

Undeniably an underrated bike, considered getting one when they first came out, saw it at motorcycle love back then. Suzuki have never been cutting ex space age producers but they make great, well tested bikes that just work every time and for a great price.

Good review. I think the use of LCD on budget bikes makes them more robust and long lasting, even if not so snazzy. A TFT screen either works or it doesn’t (with dead pixels potentially) whereas an LCD can fail slowly and tends to take a lot of grief from the owner.

I think the Headlight is not too horrendous (if you compare it to something like the mt10), but it could also have done well with like a transparent screen covering the singular segments.

If Suzuki had the bike out now, in Australia, I would have bought one but they won't be here till June. So I bought the last GSX-S1000F in OZ for a song. It's magic, handles well, stops well, it's all black which is big plus, got he same engine as my old GSXR1000. Comfort is good and I like the old LCD display. Best of all it isn't wired like an F1 bike. Doesn't have a quick shifter but I can use a clutch. I rode a Yamaha MT-10SP which has all the bells and whistles and to be honest I couldn't see why spending nearly 7K more was worth.

I don't mind the stacked headlight, its different and may also be why it was so comfortable to ride as you say with clean air flow. put a big round headlight on it and it might be like a Bandit from 90's

Hm... beeing a bit harsh on the Gixxa's dash in my opinion MrFlyer.. i think it is perfect, not hurting your eyes, comfortable and easy to read in direct sunlight and darkness as well... also keeps the price waaaaay down. This is still the most affordable and stylish literbike there is.

I honestly think the dash fits to the front. It's like a, put yourself in the early 2000's view on a futuristic bike. I really like how retro-futuristic the dash is, sure it might benefit from a good layed out submenu for setting stuff. But to my knowledge Suzukis haven't been super tech infused to do alot of settings on, except maybe the gsxr

Alot of people agree with you about the headlight. I actually like it, and it might be something that people will accept after a while. What about the KTM's, bug eyes on the Street and Speed Triple's? The new MT07 and MT09 are worse imo. Anyway, this Suzuki has some company in this
    area.

So my next bike is probably between this and the CB1000R. I prefer the look and finish of the CBR, but there’s something about the sound and feel of that K5 motor when it’s wound up...
Plus the Suzy is a lot of bang for your buck.

Had my GSXS 1000f for nearly three years and ride all year round. With wax polish and XCP Rust Blocker it's as good as new (and no, I don't wash after every commute!). It's nice and quiet as you bimble along residential streets, then growls like a beast when you give it some revs. The engine just pulls from 3 thou and at 5 thou + feels like you're going into orbit. The wide bars are great for low speed manoeuvring and the mirrors actually work... I got mine with 450 miles on the clock, first service done, extras like heated grips for £8000. Goes fast, stops fast, just bin the OE Dunlops, they're made of slippery plastic.

i really like when reviewers say what they like and don't like at a product . Basically, before spending 11k; we are all going to the dealer and look at the bike, and we all google the specs > I am looking at this reviews hopping that some1 seen a minus or a plus that I didn't or I didn't experience during test ride (again, I would not spend 11k without a test ride - not rich enough for that).
PS: would love them even more if you would include the real life mpg - highway, town etc (could be done since you generally keep a bike for 1-2 weeks) :)
Really good reviews(or at least, I like them). Great job !!!

Nice review TMF, I'm looking forward to seeing this bike when it becomes available in the US market. It's at the top of my list. None of your 5 dislikes are of any concern to me and I like the looks of it. I find the bulbous look of the previous one to be boring. I'm on the shorter side, so a comfortable seat and appropriate height are my main concerns here. Thanks.

I think if everyone clicked on this video its because they like the bike. So yes, the looks are subjective, but more than 90% of the clicks for this video are for the looks and the capabilities of this bike. The good thing about that LCD now for the 2025 models its coming with the new TFT screen borrowed from the GSX S8 models, wich is briliant. A very good bike for the price.

Great video BTW. As you may know I bought this bike new before Christmas, the LCD is a letdown, and the looks are definitely subjective, although a round headlight is not for this machine, its a brave move with the stacked lights. The engine is beautiful, so is the handling, and that quickshifter!!!! What a great and honest review. Top man.

If you compare these looks to the MT-07 and 09 this looks so much better if you want some futuristic wibe. Was in the dealer and sat on one yesterday and it feels awesome to be on. Also I like the look frontally. I think it looks better than it´s rivals if I´m honest.

I had heated grips on my R1150R and found them only partially successful as my palms were nice and toasty but the backs of my hands and fingers remained freezing cold due to wind chill so personally I'd invest in heated gloves instead if your bike doesn't have heated grips as standard as they work better on a naked bike, cost nothing to fit and you can keep them if you change your bike

Just picked up the 2022 model today. I agree with you 100% on point #1 naff dash and point #3 pretend camouflage plastics. As for the rest of the negative points you listed, they don't really bother me. I haven't had enough seat time to know for sure if the vibes from the engine will be an issue or not, but so far I haven't really noticed any. Heated grips would be nice, but my heated gloves work like magic and as far as stylilng goes, yes the headlight is a bit odd especially when viewed at an angle from the front, but when I think about my previously owned 2013 GSX-R750's bulbous headlight styling, this Gixxus' headlight actually looks pretty good. LOL. At the end of the day every bike has its shortcomings, but the real question one must ask is whether the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. With this bike I have a feeling the whole is defintely greater. Thanks for the great video!

I would sooner have an old 1200 oil cooled Bandit . What’s with all this quick shift shizzle ,don’t riders know how to correctly use a clutch & gears these days . Also I find all 4 cylinder bikes & come to think of it all bikes ,get some vibes in certain rev ranges . This usually only lasts on 4 cylinder bikes for a brief period whist going through a certain revv band . This gives the impression that the main bearings are knackered on some bikes as a slight roughness can be momentary detected . Once riders realise this is quite normal & their crankshaft isn’t about to exit the crankcases ,they forget it’s there & get used to it . Good review Mr Flyer ,Suzuki’s are usually bullet proof & value for money ,if you can accept the looks of the new models . 👍

I don't mind the looks overall. I much prefer the update's looks to the bloated guppy look of the old "F" version. I've never been a fan of Suzuki's tendency to use fake carbon though, going back to the '90s. Makes them seem even cheaper than they are. Interestingly Suzuki had optional heated grips for the previous version, but I can't find them for this one. Not that they were particularly integrated, so no real difference going with aftermarket ones. Still good bang for buck, but Suzuki has fallen back a bit there from the era of the K5. They used to offer performance that was at least competitive in the class (sometimes even leading), just without some of the frills (mostly cheaper brakes, suspension, plastics and finish). These days they are quite a bit behind. Maybe they don't feel they can chase that level of performance without the accompanying expensive electronic nannies.

Can you see it in all conditions? Does it tell you want you want without being distracting?
Unless a dash is failing to do what a TV screen would do better, I have no issue. I say this as a person that thinks the new screen on the S1000GT is the best TFT I've seen and converted me on the benefit of one... because it does such a good job of simulating real clocks (Busa mini screen is nice , too).
Personally, I'm wondering when we'll see a bike with no dash at all that has a bin/holder and a hard connection to display via one's own mobile device with a completely custom dash.

I hear you on the screen, although I love it on the katana as it looks 80's futuristic. Doesn't suit this bike though. As to the vibes, this is a powerplant with decades of development behind it - it should be silky smooth.

First sunny day today but it still felt quite cold. Petrol prices still rising.
TFT screen…not necessarily. 60 mph is 6th gear when I’m touring.
Indeed, I don’t like the plastics but I won’t see then when I’m riding. Same with the front. Riding quality, build quality etc is much more important to me.
I wouldn’t buy this bike because it’s a naked bike.
Most bikes here in NL have heated grips standard as far as I know.

The headlight doesn't look great, but it's the performance that counts. Suzuki make tough and reliable and value for money bikes - i own an SV, 85,000 km and it's not quite run in! Btw, i told you the GSXS 1000 had a vibey engine, and you didn't believe me - apology please!!

I'm in the the market for a new helmet to go with my incoming Sena 50C. I noticed you wearing the HJC, but you probably have owned lots of helmets and still do. Riding gear, clothing, helmets, gloves etc, may help your already successful channel. What do you think? Cheers from downunder Aus.

As always a really good review. The looks of a bike can certainly make or break them, and I'm with you on the front end, not my thing and that alone would stop me buying it. A question - is it only your GoPro Hero 4 you use as the helmet cam? I'm looking to buy a GoPro and the latest incarnations seem to need specific accessories to hook them up with a mike, really pushing the price up.

Good evening TMF, good review... Any chance of a review of the Z900? Or between that and the gsx s950?
Quick edit .. one thing I don't understand is that Suzuki have ceased the gsx s750 which was 112 bhp and a great bike although perhaps a little dated, but replaced it with the gsx s950 96 bhp and the same weight as the 750... So they have dumbed it down, and made it more expensive?.. Be interesting to see a review on it though.
