I love how in Callahan's class she says she's rather have a client that's innocent but then says she's take the malum in se client because she likes the challenge. This was obviously a message to Vivien about the whole Warner situation but then later in the movie she gets a client who is being charged for a malum in se crime but turns out to be innocent 😂
It would be incredible if you made a video where you give your opinion what you have heard from acquaintances and friends about different law schools or law firms to help potential students choose which law school or law firmbest suits them best
Once read a very good quote “On the west coast people are nice but not kind, on the east coast people are not nice but kind” If u have a flat in the west people will stop and say “oh looks bad….. let me call someone to help….. On the east when u have a flat someone will stop to help (after a few mins…..) scream at you why do u have a flat…. Then help you and drive away….. This is my opinion don’t know if it’s accurate
1:50 if they reward some majors, that's effectively the same as punishing all the others. Let's say they count 'hard' majors' GPA with a 1.1x scale. That's exactly the same as counting 'not hard' ones with 0.9090 (repeating) (10/11).
One of the things I never understood about this film is why Elle didn’t know about the reading in that first lecture. I understand it gave introduction to the characters, but it didn’t actually make sense that she wouldn’t have read the assignment list. Does anyone know what that was supposed to be about? I’ve always wondered.
Yeah, it seems rather out of character. They should had given her some excuse like "I wasn't expecting assignment on the first day of class." Then some bully can say "we're in law school, not fashion." Or maybe after she said she didn't know about the assignment the professor could say "did you not read the email I sent out last night at 11 pm?"
You’re the second TH-cam I’ve watched where a lawyer dissected legally blonde. You also have not gone over the trial at the end of the film… is there a reason for that? Or if not could you do a follow up commentary?
I was a Cardiovascular ICU RN and a Critical Care Transport RN before becoming an Attorney. I also had an MPH and an MSN. I also scored high on my LSAT and I had survived a major life threatening illness. In the end I do think all this prepared me for law school. But I don't think anyone really understands law school until you're in law school. Nobody can prepare you for the experience fully. A big tip I do give people is really think of your end goal when applying and selecting a law school. Money does matter. The less debt you have the better. I did state university for my BSN and got scholarship money that took care of a lot of my tuition, fees, and what not. And the hospital I worked for ultimately paid for my MPH and MSN. I did not want to come out of law school with a lot of debt.
Could you do the ending of “Cinderella Story” next? The movie with Hilary Duff. What could have been in the will that allowed Sam to own the home, restaurant, and sister’s cars???
I remember it as the will was claimed to be "nonexistent", but in fact it was "lost" intentionally by the the stepmother, so she could inherit all the property
@@daretodream9765 Yeah, but what would a will say that instantly gives her ownership of everything? And since her father died before she was 18, wouldn't the will say something about that? Or would her 10 year old self be a business owner? Also, thanks for reminding me about this comment! Im looking into planning right now, it's just been on the back burner lol
@@aaliyahrandom the only thing that is really a BIG question here for me - how could Sam inherit her stepsisters' cars since I highly doubt they were her father's property
@@daretodream9765 Maybe if Sam is supposed to own the diner, but Fiona took ownership of the diner, and the cars were bought from diner income, so technically, they're Sam's cars???
Hey Julian, I am 1L at YLS and the founder of LSAT Mastery LLC. I love your content and would love to collab on something about law, law school, LSAT, etc. Please reach out if you're down.
I would like to see somebody do an analysis of The Hunt for Red October and determine if the US had a legal right to take possession of the Soviet submarine. Perhaps a collaboration with a former JAG officer.
I was wondering, @JulianInLaw, is it realistic for Elle to be in the same class as Warner, when she applied months after him, even after he already got his decision?

I have a bunch of these on tiktok ! Both for schools and firms actually. Check those out !

You need a moderate amount of both. Unnecessary rudeness pollutes a social sphere like someone watching videos without headphones on.
This was a wonderfully in depth review and I loved it. Only wish it was longer haha
I love how the east coasters are devoid of bright colors. Unlike Elle.
Thanks for video, needs to to be two to three times longer, was really enjoying it. 👍🏻
I love how the true heroes of this movie are the pervy Harvard admissions board members

This is similar to how the ATAR in New South Wales, Australia works. It sucks. 👍

Maybe she made a mistake and learned quickly? Maybe she was being cocky and then fell flat on her nose for it? Who knows
Or, it should show that even tho she's right, law professors can be harsh, who knows

Yes as long as they are in the same year of law school which I believe they are - both 1Ls!
@@julianinlaw Thank you! Yes, I'm fairly sure they are in the same year, while I would have expected Elle to start a year later.
JULIAN!!!! watch the MUSICAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That shit goes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hmm, very interesting. Could you review the court scene in To Kill a Mockingbird?
Sir, I mean this in the best way possible--you look very paintable...like 1700s oil painting type paintable
Nice
