  • Ordered a set of Delkevic Carbon Fiber slip-ons, model DS70. This is part 1, removal of the stock cans. Also showing my homemade motorcycle lift table.

Interesting that a lot of the sound restriction is in the cat, dealer told me that aswell and said that they don't remap them when they put exhausts on &a that they COULD be run without the exhausts (which I was very skeptic so about) but they're probably right about that. So probably won't bother remapping it with the new cans

    Thanks Andy, nice video!
I have the 2016 z1000 and haven't decided yet on slip ons...., but for sure you helped me decide to go ahead and take the stock muffler off the bike ! Apparently they don't do much except put on a lot of useless weight on the bike.....
I appreciate the sound test and your explanation that most of the sound suppressing is done in that collector box, since I was thinking that's the cat.....
Funny to see that you have that 'service station' since I've built myself one as well, not as fancy since it goes to about 20' off the ground via ramp instead of using a jack, but it does the job, better than crawling on the floor all the time !
    Safe rides !!!
