Over 35 years ago, I got sober. Back then, I didnt know how to deal with all the emotions and hurt going thru me. I was given the opportunity to go to treatment lasting 6 weeks. I am thankful to my rehabers for helping me to find that release valve of crying. I was a Hospital Corpsman who seen and experinced alot and at the time I was with the US Marines on Okinawa. Had to be as tough as them. Well, I finally learned, if a man crys, he is not weak. He has a living heart in him. God bless all the tough ones cause they somehow cant get in contact with the relief valve.

2002 got married, 2003 started working EMS, 2010 lost a daughter to SIDS, 2015 blowout back have to retire, 2019 wife walks out and been heartbreak after heartbreak and still it's hard to cry when I need to.
The first 10 days in April 2016 were the hardest in my life. By date Merle died, then my 15 year old dog, followed by my mother. Actually it was just about a one week spread. Miss all three 11 months later.
