For a bit I thought I accidentally turned on a Overlord Opening since I wasn't really looking at the screen. That's how good this sounds, an absolute treat, props to Vie Hana and Yates for a great performance.
This one felt like expected. Due to the lend of it, it feelt like one that would fit vocals, specially as how hard it references Overlord's first opening. And listening to this, the vocals were put pretty well together. Liking the echoish voice. Having Hana return for the vocals was a great call. Her voice has a nice balance between quiet yet intense (tranquil fury?), fitting for the characters in this song.
4:26 I love how at this part it gives off the feeling that the fight is approaching its climax. Both fighters are damaged,bloody,but still more than thrilled to keep going as fire surrounds the entire area Grade A work as always

Battle/Track Idea: “Seductive Compulsion”(Albedo vs Morrigan)[Overlord vs Dark Stalkers] I would imagine that the battle would be because Morrigan absorbed the life force of Lord Ainz. And Albedo didn’t like that one bit!
Y'know, I keep saying it but this is another one of those songs where I didn't expect a vocal but it makes so much sense it's really dumb of me not to have thought of it. The first thing that I must note is how the song completely assumes its Clattanoia inspiration when it needs to, having the lyrics directly follow the layout that the original material has (while still having original and fitting lyrics for both characters involved) when the original material is used in the instrumental. But it also knows when to go wild with completely original lyrics and deliveries (IE: the ending (5:05-5:50)) so as to not over-rely on the source material. Hell, there's bits where it even "does both at once" by putting an original tone on the deliveries that follow the source material (IE: 3:57-4:17) which gives it a really unique feel that's much appreciated. Overall the vocals of the song definitely does what they set out to do perfectly as a correct mix of original and referenced material which perfectly complements the instrumental to give out a better version of an already really good song. Amazing work to both Brandon and the vocalist as always.
I know this match up would be unfair but both of their themes are too amazing to not imagine how they would be like “Demon Hunter” (Garou Vs Akaza, One Punch Man Vs Demon Slayer)
These damn vocals are coming out of the wood works left and right. All of them are absolute bangers since then. Now I'm genuinely convinced that every one of them is going after Will of the Drill's throat for one reason or another.
@@bennygairns2235 Shaltear is very powerful even by the standards of Overlords’s op cast. She has several of the standard vampire powers (hypnotism, turning into mist, regeneration, etc.) but isn’t vulnerable to sunlight, is skilled in powerful offensive holy magic, can enter a blood rage to become stronger, her attacks can curse you to be unable to heal from them, her lance heals her whenever she deals damage, she can summon shadowy bats, rats, and wolves (who she can attack with the lance to heal herself if she needs to), she can summon a duplicate of herself (albeit without all her magic and skills), and can resurrect the first time she is killed. As for feats: a master swordsman developed a technique that let his strike so fast his sword wouldn’t even get any blood on it. Shaltear reached around and caught his sword from behind before it could reach her neck, then deflected the rest of his attacks with her pinky nail. She survived being at the epicenter of an extremely powerful magic attack that instantly incinerated a forest and left a massive crater, and slaughtered 40,000 beastmen in an afternoon without breaking a sweat.

I have a very select list of tracks Brandon has made that doesn't relate to a (official) Death Battle. This is among the best, along with God's Fang and Ninja Sex Bobomb.
First a great Eren Yeager vs Lelouch track now this The only thing missing is the Bowser vs Eggman track, the Eren Yeager vs Yuichiro Hyakuya and Kaiman vs Denji
Epic song. Has similarities with Overlord first opening, but also some of the Gate's opening guitar solo, and the lirycs are also fitting for the characters. Would be a good fight, but not interesting, Shaltear would get the victory here. Rory is more suited for combat by her experience and nature, so she would be a top class adventurer in Overlord world, but Shaltear was made to be a boss for a bunch of those top class adventurers. Rory simply does not have enought fire-power to kill Shaltear, and as a vampire, she can heal herself with Rory's blood in a long term fight.
Rory is fucked. Wall and Supersonic+ VS at least Large Country level+ and FTL Shallchair, and Shalltear has mountain of Hax, including a resurrection item. This is a worse stomp than SpongeBob VS Aquafriend.
Ok yes it’s a bad stomp but…. no SpongeBob was put at universal and has the highest (calculable) speed out of any contestant of death battle. I don’t even feel the need to say aquamans feats he just can’t. Like at least if shalltear for some unknown reason just decides to just stand still and fall asleep mid fight then maybe Rory could kill her. SpongeBob could go to sleep, take a shower, go to work, go jellyfishing, annoy Squidward, and feed Gary before he even realizes that during all of that Aquaman was wailing on him. So yeah, horrible stomp, but very few fights can compare to SpongeBob vs Aquafriend.
shalltear is more along the lines of massively hypersonic+. you're correct on her AP rating though. rory also isn't even subsonic, much less supersonic. she's at the cusp of being subsonic, but she still isnt there. very high end superhuman.

@@aqj2014 She's not the strongest NPC, she's just the strongest Floor Guardian if you don't count Gargantua. Rubedo (Albedo's little sister) and the NPC's on the 8th floor are stronger than Shalltear and Gargantua.

lol shut up, you know nothing about overlord. Konosuba characters are stronger than rory and even combat agent six or goblin slayer can kick her ass in 1v1 combat. Shalltear moves at Massively Hypersonic+/in excess of mach 2,000 speeds and can hit over 3x as hard as the chicxulub impact which yielded 72 teratons of tnt equivalent. rory is barely as strong as a modern day tank which is only wall level+/double digit megajoules, shalltear is a country buster. Rory gets vaporized just by Shalltear punching in her general direction.

Y'know, I keep saying it but this is another one of those songs where I didn't expect a vocal but it makes so much sense it's really dumb of me not to have thought of it.
The first thing that I must note is how the song completely assumes its Clattanoia inspiration when it needs to, having the lyrics directly follow the layout that the original material has (while still having original and fitting lyrics for both characters involved) when the original material is used in the instrumental. But it also knows when to go wild with completely original lyrics and deliveries (IE: the ending (5:05-5:50)) so as to not over-rely on the source material.
Hell, there's bits where it even "does both at once" by putting an original tone on the deliveries that follow the source material (IE: 3:57-4:17) which gives it a really unique feel that's much appreciated. Overall the vocals of the song definitely does what they set out to do perfectly as a correct mix of original and referenced material which perfectly complements the instrumental to give out a better version of an already really good song. Amazing work to both Brandon and the vocalist as always.
I know this match up would be unfair but both of their themes are too amazing to not imagine how they would be like

@@bennygairns2235 Shaltear is very powerful even by the standards of Overlords’s op cast. She has several of the standard vampire powers (hypnotism, turning into mist, regeneration, etc.) but isn’t vulnerable to sunlight, is skilled in powerful offensive holy magic, can enter a blood rage to become stronger, her attacks can curse you to be unable to heal from them, her lance heals her whenever she deals damage, she can summon shadowy bats, rats, and wolves (who she can attack with the lance to heal herself if she needs to), she can summon a duplicate of herself (albeit without all her magic and skills), and can resurrect the first time she is killed.
As for feats: a master swordsman developed a technique that let his strike so fast his sword wouldn’t even get any blood on it. Shaltear reached around and caught his sword from behind before it could reach her neck, then deflected the rest of his attacks with her pinky nail. She survived being at the epicenter of an extremely powerful magic attack that instantly incinerated a forest and left a massive crater, and slaughtered 40,000 beastmen in an afternoon without breaking a sweat.

Epic song. Has similarities with Overlord first opening, but also some of the Gate's opening guitar solo, and the lirycs are also fitting for the characters.
Would be a good fight, but not interesting, Shaltear would get the victory here. Rory is more suited for combat by her experience and nature, so she would be a top class adventurer in Overlord world, but Shaltear was made to be a boss for a bunch of those top class adventurers. Rory simply does not have enought fire-power to kill Shaltear, and as a vampire, she can heal herself with Rory's blood in a long term fight.
Rory is fucked. Wall and Supersonic+ VS at least Large Country level+ and FTL Shallchair, and Shalltear has mountain of Hax, including a resurrection item. This is a worse stomp than SpongeBob VS Aquafriend.

SpongeBob was put at universal and has the highest (calculable) speed out of any contestant of death battle. I don’t even feel the need to say aquamans feats he just can’t. Like at least if shalltear for some unknown reason just decides to just stand still and fall asleep mid fight then maybe Rory could kill her. SpongeBob could go to sleep, take a shower, go to work, go jellyfishing, annoy Squidward, and feed Gary before he even realizes that during all of that Aquaman was wailing on him. So yeah, horrible stomp, but very few fights can compare to SpongeBob vs Aquafriend.

rory also isn't even subsonic, much less supersonic. she's at the cusp of being subsonic, but she still isnt there. very high end superhuman.

@@aqj2014 She's not the strongest NPC, she's just the strongest Floor Guardian if you don't count Gargantua. Rubedo (Albedo's little sister) and the NPC's on the 8th floor are stronger than Shalltear and Gargantua.

lol shut up, you know nothing about overlord. Konosuba characters are stronger than rory and even combat agent six or goblin slayer can kick her ass in 1v1 combat.
Shalltear moves at Massively Hypersonic+/in excess of mach 2,000 speeds and can hit over 3x as hard as the chicxulub impact which yielded 72 teratons of tnt equivalent. rory is barely as strong as a modern day tank which is only wall level+/double digit megajoules, shalltear is a country buster.
Rory gets vaporized just by Shalltear punching in her general direction.
