Already putting Will Of The Drill against serious competition.
This song is legit a very, VERY CLOSE second to the Will of the Drill Vocals.
Not enough to beat it personally, but it's practically breathing down each other's neck for the top spot.
I loved Tiggs’ voice in a Thunder Shroud and it’s great to hear her voice again, this song slaps!
Yep, this song definitely either matches or slightly below Will of the Drill.
I can see Death Battle Matchups on Reddit fighting over which is better, Will of the Drill or Midnight Magica.

Ngl Midnight Magica was the least memorable of the Guilty Gear tracks before this.
Keyword being "before this" because this vocal track is great and makes it sound much more unique and adds a really solid set of lyrics to it. It gives the song a nice "majestic" feeling that's extremely appreciable and that's complemented by the different but not alienating instrumental that gives a nice contrast to it.
I'll also note the 2:47-3:13 and 5:09-5:11 bit because ***GOSH*** that voice range is absolutely wonderful. I don't know how she managed to do it but massive props to her for that.
I'll also note the 4:05-4:18 segment (you could extent that bit to 4:42 but the one I noted is more memorable IMO) which gives an atmosphere that's a bit "darker" which sounds nice and it's original, I like it.
Overall this vocal version follows in the steps of the more "recent" batch of them that started with Will of the Drill of perfectly complementing a track for the better by giving it complementary yet different additions to an already decent instrumental. Amazing work from both Brandon and the vocalist as always.

The vocal version really makes this track stand out. It gives the track a more solemn touch, which is quite fitting for Homura really.

So, who wins this Death Battle? I’ve seen some stuff on Homura but only know that I-No is the personification of Humanity’s Will(?), and the axis of time.
It's complicated but from what I know i-no wins pretty cleanly
It's, uh. Complicated. I don't know Madoka that well, but from what I understand, Homura attained immunity to time/space changes, so I-No can't just blip Homura out of the timeline. I-No fused with Happy Chaos would probably win due to being able to change creation itself, but that's also debatably outside help. Homura was also able to split Madoka from her Ultimate self, and attain a form similar and equal to Madoka's. Honestly from my perspective it seems like a battle you could argue either way.

@@kawaiiempoleon8721 trought the pure unadultered concentrated power of love that filled homura in that pocket dimension. she thus got god knows how much more power than to create/destroy/recreate the universe and its laws (wich was were we saw madoka at) but not quite enough to turn off completely the active paradox of madoka to disapear enterily if left unchecked

The instrumental to this was already one of my favourites you've ever done, but this is somehow even more incredible. Breathtaking vocals from TIggs, and possibly my favourite set of lyrics in any Vs track, on top of the already godlike instrumental, elevate this to easily my favourite commission track you've ever made, and among my top 5 songs you've made, period. And that is some seriously high praise.

Man is this amazing. It's a close toss-up between this and Will of the Drill as your best fan death battle work. I think Will of the Drill slightly edges this out but they are definitely on the same level of masterpiece.

I had to turn it up and mix it slightly different so the super high singing and guitar solo could be heard and shine through, without fighting each other too much

A fight I would like to have a track for is wind serpent ibushi and thunder serpent narwa (from Monster Hunter) vs Kaguya and Yuzuru (from date a live). Both pairs attack with wind (lighting is sometimes associated withe wind) and upon the death of one, instigated by the other, the remaining one becomes their ultimate or true version.
Would "Starcrossed Sacrifice" be a good album name for that matchup?

But Homura vs I-no is something I can enjoy, especially more than Homura vs Sakuya which honestly is better off staying as Riot Rumble imo (When it comes out that is).

She pretty much becomes the law of cycles and takes madoka’s place so that she could ‘protect’ her, so she’s basically ultimate madoka but evil and aggressive, and madoka has plenty of Low Outerversal-Outerversal arguments, meaning homura should scale to that. So going by death battles rule of analysing characters at their max potential, homura stomps unless I-no’s scaling on the vsbattles wiki is also heavily downplayed 👀
