    I have the Quest X10 and love it!!!.....While it may be marketed for beginners, it is an excellent detector that can keep up with more expensive machines...I've been detecting for about 30 years and this one is one of my favourites!!

    I just bought the Quest X10 and i was having some problems with the ground balance and sensivity. I was digging up only big pieces of rusted iron. After watching this video i hope i can understand my detector more and dig up Some good stuff.

    Hi I would like to know do you guys make the 9"x13" search coils for the Quest x10 or is it a aftermarket product?

    I installed my x5 with this video, when I tied the bolt to the computer bit. it is not fully on, just a few mor turns but its so tight arealdy. Would it be okay, no water comming in? Great video

    • @QuestEurope
      @QuestEurope  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey there! As long as it sits tight and the detector works you are good to go. It will be save for searching in rain, but the electronics of the X5 are NOT waterproof, so don't put it under water, you can just put the coil and shaft under water, but not the control unit. If you need your detector to be usable under water, take a look at the X10 Pro for a beginner detector or the Q30(+)/Q60 for an even better device.

    I would also like to know what other additional coil sizes you do have for the X10 , I am strongly considering buying a X10.

    • @QuestEurope
      @QuestEurope  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Francois! As of know, there are no plans to make more coils for the X10 Pro. The X10 was updated to the X10 Pro around a year ago, for this one you can use the following coils: BladeX, RaptorX and BeastX. If you have the chance to buy the old X10 (without the Pro), you can use the Blade, Raptor and Beast. :-)

    Hi. Im testing Quests in Poland. Can You tell me where to get a changelog file of m2022 software update for Q60?

    • @QuestEurope
      @QuestEurope  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there, unfortunately we have no changelog file for the software update. The main issue is that at a certain depth, although there is a clear audio signal, you saw no target ID on the display. WIth this update, the target ID is shown for deeper targets.

    Today i get quest x5 and ITS vero nice. And I have one question. Which sensitivity is the Best for alo metall mode

    • @QuestEurope
      @QuestEurope  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Jan, unfortunately there is not one "right" sensitivity setting, it always depends on the situation at hand.
      You should set the sensitivity as high as possible - when set to 100, in most cases there are many false signals because of the natural mineralisation in the ground. So you have to lower the sensitivity so much, that these false signals are completely gone and the detector is quiet when moving the coil.

    what is the range/depth of detection? will it detect a chest of gold coins 4 feet under?

    • @QuestEurope
      @QuestEurope  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you for the comment! The depth heavily depends on the ground conditions, settings and the object at hand. That's why it is difficult to determine precise depth ranges. In our tests (just air between coil and objects) the X5 and X10 can detect a one euro coin in approximately 30 cm and a beverage can in approximately 80 cm. So even for a big object, 4 feet (around 120 cm) are unrealistic. For these depths you have to bring the "big guns", means high-end detectors like the Q60.

    The Quest detectors have amazing depth and performance. I`m very impressed with these machines and want to buy one in the future. My concern is battery life. A lithium ion battery can go bad after a few hundred uses depending on number of charges, exposure to heat/cold, charge parameters, or build quality. Even if not used a lithium ion battery will degrade. How do we get extra batteries for these and are they replaceable by the user?

    • @QuestEurope
      @QuestEurope  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi there! First of all thank you for the positive feedback about our machines 💪
      The battery should only be replaced by our Quest Service Center or dealers in the specific countries who are trained in this. If users open the control box, the warranty will fade
      But the batteries are strong and have a high quality standard and I didn't hear complains about the battery time beeing too little after months or years of use. Worst case you have to charge it before every use but I think even after many many charging cycles it will be enough for a long day of detecting. If you have trouble with the battery time of your Quest detector, try to connect a powerbank to the device while searching, you can put it in your backpack or attach it to the coil with some straps or, as I said, contact the dealer you bought it from to get the battery changed.

    • @baneverything5580

      @@QuestEurope That`s a great idea. I have a lot of various sizes of power banks and even small folding solar panels that could be worn on my back while detecting to keep it charging if needed. I`ve been researching to find a detector that can hit the deep silver coins in the USA. They stopped making them in the mid 1960s and now most are so deep that they`re out of reach of all but the best machines, many of which are just too expensive for my budget. The Quest detectors can hit these deep silver coins. But I don`t have a lot of money so I`m trying to choose the best one.

    • @QuestEurope
      @QuestEurope  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@baneverything5580 Walking with a solar powered detector sounds really cool! I hope you have fun with the X5 or X10/X10 Pro and will find the silver coins you are longing for. I can confidently say that it will be difficult to find a detector with more depth for the price you have to pay for the X5
      Have fun and good luck searching!
