Great review, just ordered one as a first detector, Even got it on 10 interest free payments on Amazon. Been suffering with my health and needed something to get me out and about. Will be looking for a group to join when I get the hang of it.
With the amount of detectors out now it's getting harder to decide what to buy, what puts me off the top end machines is i don't want to be the guy standing in a field trying to figure out how the thing works when most folk are already detecting, especially with the price of them, sometimes better to keep it simple and easier to get used to it, like the sounds from this machine reminds me of the T2, apologies for keeping on about the T2 Graeme 😊
Nice demo Graeme, looks a very capable bargain detector. Beginners might struggle to choose a starter machine these days with the wide choice out there but maybe a nice problem to have! 😊 Thie Q5 must be up near the top for many at £170.
The only machine you'll ever need, Terry Herbert found the Staffordshire Hoard with a metal detector that cost £2.50 from a car boot sale ! Great Machine. Ive had over priced over complicated machines and its nonsense !
The bleeps were disregarded as they weren't targets I wanted to lock on to, ground mineralisation and iron mainly, which comes with experience, thanks for watching 👍🏼
@@unearthed-detecting-tv do you think the X5 will be good enough for a beginner or worth paying the extra £50 for the X10? I guess if I got the x5 I could get some accessories
Thank you very much for your explanation and for speaking to me on the phone you are very knowledgeable and have explained that very thoroughly to me
You are welcome

This was my first “proper” detector and it found me my first hammered and Roman minim. Brilliant machine for the money, would definitely recommend it
Well done dean
The X5 is an awesome little machine. I still take mine out and do videos now and again because its such a joy to use.
It really is! I loved using it this morning
I always loved the tones as well, it's a lovely sounding machine.
It’s a cracking machine! It started my detecting journey! I went from x5 to q30 initially! Great machines!
For the price they are great!
I paid that for the Garret Ace 250 8 years ago which was my very first detector... This seems like a great bit of kit for the money 👍👍👍
They are so good for the money mark, better than the ageing garretts too
@@unearthed-detecting-tv Thanks for the quick reply
@markcooke5270 you are welcome
It seems like a nice machine. The tones are crisp and it looks good.
Heck of a good detector for the price kev

I agree hugh, I think the manufacturers are missing out on making powerful yet simplistic detectors nowadays

Hi Neil, yes agreed sir, its a great price and ideal for beginners and the like

A lot to be said for simplicity
Lot of kit there for the money mate, it gives a very definite 'dig me' on those targets!
A pretty good detector for the ££ mate
quality video... looks a decent bit of kit!
Thank you steve, dont forget to subscribe to the channel, it's free!
Looks a belting little machine mate
Brilliant for the price mate
I like that machine but I never see one here in the States!
Quite a few showing here in the uk over the past couple of years
I found the video a bit confusing. There were bleeps almost ever sweep and yet these were disregarded??

Great Content!!!
Thank you sir!
What configuration is used on the beach? I put it on all metal but it goes crazy for more than low sensitivity.
The only way to deal with wet sand on a single frequency detector is sensitivity and discrimination, if that doesn't work use on the shingle only
Brilliant job brother g u legend
Hi Tez , hope you are well sir
@unearthed_uk ya brother g doing well hope all the family are well

Thanks for the review my friend. You have been Subbed."White Water Jack" USA N.J.
Thanks jack, i will drop you a sub back later
Should I buy this machine or the Garrett euro ace ? I'm a beginner
I would swerve the ageing garrett, either this or the minelab vanquish/x terra pro would do you proud, check them out here - www.uneartheduk.co.uk
@@unearthed-detecting-tv what about the X10? Will these also be good for using on the beach as haven't found a club to join yet
@@dhlmyst they are even better with more features, however you will have to lower the sens when searching on wet sand
@@unearthed-detecting-tv do you think the X5 will be good enough for a beginner or worth paying the extra £50 for the X10? I guess if I got the x5 I could get some accessories
X5 is perfect for a beginner sir
