    You are the first Calisthenics TH-camr I've seen recommending eccentric push ups. I've struggled with kneeling push ups for months, without seeing much progress. After adopting 4/5 sets of eccentrics, 2x/week, I've achieved my first push ups in 5 or 6 sessions! They are pretty efficient!

    It works. I did the one at 3:40 for about two months before I was doing 4-6 push ups in one set with 5 min rest period of doing leg exercises. Prior to the trainings I could do one push up.

    Just last night I was watching one of your older videos where you were doing many different kinds of push ups in your parents house. This must have been at least 5 years old. Then I watched one where you performed different push ups in the garage. I saw such an improvement in your physique in those videos. In this video your physique is perfect and the video technique is excellent as well. And in all 3 videos, your form is always perfect! Awesome videos! Thank you for sharing all of your useful techniques. You have helped me tremendously with my push ups and pull ups!

      It's not the muscles it's surely the connective tissue. Take a few weeks of rest. Follow RICE for a few days. Then slowly go back to bodyweight squats. Knee pain like any other joint pain is not a good sign and is your body's way to tell you to stop.

(to see if you ahe the strenth go grab a scale and place your hands on it and see the weight you need to push up. if you cant bench that dont bother with regular pushups. i need to bench 65 kg to get a equal strain on the upper body on a pushup. seeing i only have a 35gk bar i have no clue what i can actually bench but after just winghing it to 30 rep sets with 35 kg i can do a few pushup now since this week. time will tell if i will improve this way. .

      Baginda Hutapea pressing yourself up at the top with straight arms will engage the serratus (a shoulder stabiliser). You’ll probably get less reps, but it makes things harder and is good for shoulder stability

    Daniel, watched and followed Zef Zakaveli for a long time already. Being such a huge Calisthenics beast and particularly a push up monster on demand he continues to train and bang out push ups into the hundreds outta push ups bars. How does a push up bar helps an elite athlete such as him and others to continue tallying up push ups with no apparent limit in sight?. Yes, incline push ups help beginners!!!!. Do the same principles apply to elite athletes???. I'm not a push ups newbie by any means. Started out to train incline push ups outta imitation of my Calisthenics idols and yes. Getting back down on the floor makes push ups a breeze. But the great question... WHY and HOW for advanced????. Thanks in advance and appreciation for your channel!!!!.

    The pushup is an exercise I have struggled with for years. Especially the pain in my wrist and a shoulder injury. I cannot do a pushup because my wrist only go at an angle to my arm when I start the p/up. It has to be at an angle or use weights on the floor to help my wrist. Very frustrating.

      Flared elbows will cause shoulder impingement, our scapulae are not meant to have our upper arm/elbow parallel and at the same height of our shoulder when our shoulder is EXTERNALLY ROTATED

    • @elevatorman5468
      @elevatorman5468 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Never ever do flared elbows. Wrong in so many ways. Even with bench pressing, do a 45 to 15 degree angle. To build chest, do wide pushups but turn your hands completely out so that your fingers are pointing sideways and your wrists are pointing towards your body. This promotes external rotation and makes sure your arms are at a 45 degree angle, the sweet spot for chest growth.

      You could set a target of doing so many a day. When i started i struggled with 10 push ups in the morning, later after a few months i made a point of doing 150 in total a day, so i might do 10 push ups 15 times that day for example. Then i did fitness training which was too fatigue or to a time limit which develops you further. If you want maximum results in short time train hard too fatigue with body weight otherwise set small objectives each day which add up to a bigger goal.
