Tomorrow marks one year since I started calisthenics, and I've only missed one day all year. It's changed me so much, both mentally and physically. I've gone from 65 kg to 78 kg. I was born with a rare heart condition that caused chest pains and shortness of breath. Doctors advised me to avoid calisthenics because it was considered risky-but I didn’t listen. Ever since I started, I’ve had zero symptoms. Start now-you won’t regret it! For me, the first two months were the hardest. Also, this channel has taught me everything. THANKS Daniel
Absolutely awesome. Keeping it simple while pointing out the key things to look out for and giving us good progressions and rep ranges. Just brilliant. One thing I think you could've looked at is legs. Squat/hinge progressions and rep ranges would've made this a complete workout video, maybe a bit more on core too. Maybe that could come in a future vid
This is the basic routine I've started x years ago and still following. Mastering progression logic makes the magic. I've passed to rings again y years ago :) Now trying olympix weight lifting with half of my body weight. So it's really a huge basis and as you work on your mobility elsewise you'll not even consider. Many thanks to sincere youtubers whi shared their knowledge so generously and let us dive in to this field we could only dream of.
@F2a0bi0an5o eu estou aprendendo, mas isso não vai ser da noite para o dia. Se eu puder aprender coisas que melhorem meus treinos, antes de eu ter aprendido inglês, vai ser ainda melhor.
perfect video for beginners. awesome content as always. keep it up. maybe you should also include workout scheduling/planning for your next video for intermediate calisthenic exercise.
Fantastic video!! Easy to follow, straight to point great examples & “Gold” advice from the Master himself, our coach Daniel! Everything you need to start your journey into Calisthenics for 2025!!! Let’s go!!🎉
Great video! Which kind of scaffold is it you’re using in your videos for performing pull-ups, row exercises, dips etc as shown here, is there a special name to it?
Parfaite vidéo ! Le mec, après le tournage, il aura fait sa séance vu ce qu'il nous fait ahah. Sans compter ce qu'il a fallu reprendre qui n'était pas ok pour la vidéo.
Daniel - my son has asked me to join him in training for the BARbarian requirement test through 2025. Cool bonding experience so I’m joining him. I know you have done it in the past and I know since then you’ve acquired a lot more knowledge in this space. Would you have any suggestions how we could/should approach the volume for this style of training in general while preserving these 40 yr old joints? Curious how you would approach it now if you made a second attempt at it. Appreciate anything you can throw my way 🤙🤙
The likes of Mike Tyson, Manny Pacquiao, and Mayweather do high volume calisthenics mainly for muscular endurance not to build muscles, as they need some good muscle endurance for when they fight.
Just apply the same principles that work for bodybuilding: go full range of motion, get close to failure, train every muscle 2-3 or more times a week, rest 2-3 minutes because calisthenics is almost all compound movements, and only do cheat reps as an intensity technique, after reaching failure with quality reps
yes it does. The one downside is that when you have achieved a decent strength, the number of reps needed can mean LONG sessions. But if you are doing 20+ reps with good technique, you will have a hell of a physique - not everyone wants to look like Arnold Schwarzenegger! Once you get to 15+ reps, you can vary it to increase the mechanical load - archer pull-ups instead of straight pull-up, feet elevated on push-up or pike push-up etc. And those are KILLERS!
Question: I have a 5 day workout plan, but I really wanna learn the front lever - where do I put exercises for that? Do I implement Cali days or only add more exercises?
No just program one day where you practice the exercise from scratch so start with holding the frog pose for 5 secs then up it another 5 seconds until you can hold it for 30 seconds, then progress from there by holding the pose and sticking one leg out etc the skills don’t come easy don’t expect to be doing it after a week
If the Front Lever is Your Achievement that you prioritize over your recent workout plan , then recreate the workout plan including the exercises that helps you achieving the front lever .
Can I just say for past 12 months round about iv been doing exercises like this and people ask me what I do i say well all sorts but I think my favourite exercises gymnastics and probably swimming if im lucky. I watched spanians workouts and ofcourse mike mentzer and arnold and a guy showing prison style workouts which is kinda my situation in my apartment feels like a prison at times lol. But the gymnastics/body weight exercises are so easy compared to all that weight lifting. That spanian video changed my life bro transformed my shoulders. I actually have a chinup bar in my house for years now
I love the content coach. However, I would like to see intensity techniques suitable for beginners (in calisthenics, because I am advanced in lifting free weights). Think of a bodybuilders, at around 117KG, wanting to become as good in thenics. God bless.
I'd say yes. After a couple of month's build up I can now do 5 false grip pull ups when before just hanging false gripped was an exercise in futility. Also chalk. Chalk is your friend.

Question: When you say to increase the progression when you can do X reps, do you mean if you can do X reps in a single set, or only if you can comfortably do 3 sets of X reps? Thank you
Bro i can't afford gymnastics rings so i made my self with metal rings and nylon ropes.... So while performing exercise nylon rope streches like 1 inch difference is occuring between both rings Is it okay doing exercise with some 1 inch uneven rings??? I need your help brother????
Do one set with the lower one in one hand, the next set do it the other way. My advice is using a knot that lets you adjust the height of the rings quickly If the difference is very little you could feel and imbalance after a long long time
Cant grip bc of ultra sweaty hands and weak grip... bc of this i think i cant do good pullups. And "training" grip seems very tedious and slow. Im 38. Any Tips? edit: im training with rings - love them lower weight/easier variation or lower reps?
I cannot do regular push ups. Do you recommend wall push ups and or female push ups. I tore my right chest muscle from lifting weights when I was younger. Tendons come into play after a couple of regular push ups.
Useless. Just doing pushups with proper form is better. Even pullups work your core if you keep your legs straight in front of you. And if you want to target the core specifically, hanging leg raises and dragon flag are way better than planks.
@@YRO. Planks are more accessible than Pull ups just the fact that they can be done anywhere like push ups. It's also ignorant of you to say it's useless. You squeeze your butt in and engage the core during a plank and you can really feel your core getting the work out.
@Sebbir no,most calisthenics skills are upper body strength dependent, and i maybe heard this guy say or ian barseagle said that leg muscles are like dead weight, but that doesn't mean you should neglect them, the guy in the video always says to train legs and shows some exercises for it but this time he didn't

You're never gonna find a clear answer on the internet. And when you do, you won't like it

There are many people doing hundreds of pull ups , push ups, dips and squats per day, and they are jacked as hell and healthy, so i would Say that yes
yes it does. The one downside is that when you have achieved a decent strength, the number of reps needed can mean LONG sessions. But if you are doing 20+ reps with good technique, you will have a hell of a physique - not everyone wants to look like Arnold Schwarzenegger!

With the essentric for pull ups do you lower first at the elbows or at the scapula?
Scapula contracts at the start of the pullups, stays contracted until the end
You don't need to think about it unless you're rehabbing an injury, your body will figure it out on its own
@F2a0bi0an5o I'm on an infinite shoulder rehab from a surgery. I can't do anything without overthinking it 😂
Wouldn't knee push ups also be a way to start before progressing to normal push ups?
what are your toughts on false grip as a beginner? should you train it separately and maybe durring rows?
I'd say yes. After a couple of month's build up I can now do 5 false grip pull ups when before just hanging false gripped was an exercise in futility. Also chalk. Chalk is your friend.

yeah idk about this tho, when someone say do 12 reps and then increase the weight, it is only for 12 reps in first set, or 12 reps in all of my sets
with pull ups bars or rings, why do I always feel it in my shoulders not back regardless any kind of grips and distances?
