Bienvenida al mundo de Angelina. Esta niña es un prodigio. Comenzó a cantar desde q tenía un año y medio. Ha nacido para ésto. Tienes razón xq una de sus influencias ha sido su abuela Mary Zamani, de origen iraní, q de niña fue un prodigio también. Su abuela es pintora y conocida a nivel internacional y fue la q introdujo a Angelina desde pequeña en el mundo del jazz. Angelina ha hecho infinidad de covers todos magníficos xq es tal su talento q se lleva las canciones a su terreno y las hace suyas.
Actualmente tiene 14 años y ya tiene 4 canciones originales de ella y ha sido fichada por una discográfica Republic Records. Acaba de lanzar su primera canción desde q ha sido fichada x ellos y q ha sido compuesta totalmente x ella. Las figuras artísticas q aparecen en el vídeo de esa canción han sido hechas por ella y x su abuela también. La canción ha sido dedicada a su abuelo, q era japonés y fue escrita x ella en base a su experiencia de pérdida de un familiar muy querido.
Es maravillosa y se llama Million Miles.
Ha participado en AGT el año pasado y te invito a ver los arreglos q hizo en ese concurso para la canción: Goodbye Yellow Brick Road de Elton John y Bohemian Rapsodyde Queen. MARAVILLOSOS. Los arreglos los hizo ella misma.
La canción a la cual has reaccionado hoy Summertime, es la última q cantó en NGT (Norwegian Got Talent) concurso q ganó a la edad de 8 años. Ha hecho covers a canciones como Bang Bang, Fly me to the moon, it’s a Man Word y Feeling Good entre otras. Te las recomiendo!!

Mira los artículos q se han publicado en las revistas de música especializadas. Es un genio musical y la industria discográfica lo sabe. Hasta Disney intentó contratarla en su día. Pero la familia está más interesada en proteger su creatividad q en ganar millones a su costa.
A recopilado millones de euros en conciertos y concursos q luego a donado a causas para proteger a la infancia. Es una artista muy humanitaria y muy preocupada y concienciada en los problemas sociales.
I was in a Jazz rehearsal in college, and the director kept stopping the singer to give her directions on her singing; i didn't understand why for she was singing like an Angel, till now; this is what he was looking for.
Beautiful reaction. Did you notice that head turn that Angelina did just before the trumpet comes in to the song? She had expressed her "wishes" about how the trumpet player should play his part in rehearsal, so she turned to see him do just that...lol! She is known as "the boss" when she is in rehearsal with orchestras or studio musicians. (She's very, very sweet and respectful, but in charge...)

i typically don't really enjoy most female vocalists sound. not sure why....Angelina is like heaven on my ears. been listening to her for almost 5 years now and am glad she is starting to get the recognition she deserves.
My theory is, all the famous jazz legions who's passed over to the other side, got together and decided to create a legiondary Angel, giving her all their luscious voices, and named her Angelina.
She moves like an Angel, looks like an Angel, smile like an Angel and brings joy to those of us, who is fortunate enough to hear her melodious voice. May she continue igniting our lives with her voice and her gracious presence 🙏 ❤ 💖 💗 💕

- Angelina Jordan nació el 10 de enero de 2006 en Oslo, Noruega. Ella tiene actualmente 14
- Comenzó a cantar a la edad de un año y medio
- A los 2 o 3 años descubrió el Jazz a través de su abuela y comenzó a estudiar a todos los grandes de la historia del Jazz con videos de youtube.
- *Por qué Angelina siempre canta descalza* - Cuando Angelina tenía 6 años, viajaba con su abuela y conoció a una niña pobre sin zapatos que intentaba ganar dinero en las calles. Hablaron un rato y discutieron sus sueños. Hacía frío y la niña tenía cicatrices en los pies. Al ver esto, Angelina se quitó los zapatos y se los dio a la niña. La niña le agradeció y le dijo a Angelina que rezaría por ella todos los días. Ese día Angelina hizo el voto de cantar siempre descalza hasta que todos los niños del mundo pudieran tener zapatos. Hasta el día de hoy, cada vez que Angelina se presenta en público, canta descalza como una forma de recordar a esa niña y recordarnos que hay personas menos afortunadas en el mundo que podrían necesitar nuestra ayuda.
Angelina se mantiene tan fiel a esta promesa que ha cantado al aire libre en Noruega, en diciembre ... descalza. Ha cantado en una cena con el expresidente Obama ... descalza. Ella fue a AGT (posiblemente el escenario más grande del mundo) ... descalza. Hizo una promesa a los 6 años y la ha mantenido firme durante años. Para eso se necesita un tipo especial de persona.
- Ella siempre ha sido la fuerza impulsora de su propia carrera como cantante. Fue ella quien le pidió a su madre que la llevara a Norways Got Talent, donde audicionó a los 7 años y ganó todo el programa con solo 8 años.
- En una entrevista posterior al espectáculo, cuando se le preguntó qué iba a hacer con el dinero del premio, la niña de 8 años respondió: "Me gustaría dárselo a los huérfanos que necesitan ropa y zapatos".
- Cuando Angelina tenía 9 años se convirtió en la autora publicada más joven en Noruega, cuando escribió un libro sobre la historia de por qué no usa zapatos cuando canta. Ella donó las ganancias de las ventas del libro para ayudar a los niños necesitados.
- La razón por la que quizás no hayas oído hablar de ella es porque sus padres son muy protectores con su infancia. Después de que ganó NGT, no querían que la lanzaran al estrellato antes de que tuviera la oportunidad de crecer como una niña normal y recibir su educación. Le permitieron hacer algunos shows selectos (principalmente eventos privados y de caridad) con un par de shows públicos cada año cuando no está en la escuela. Su madre dijo en una entrevista que han rechazado el 90% de las ofertas que llegaron. A lo largo de los años desde NGT, han rechazado ofertas de muchas discográficas importantes e incluso de Disney.
- Angelina ha versionado más de 130 canciones y más de 65 artistas en los últimos 6 años. Ella siempre selecciona las canciones ella misma ... todo, desde el jazz clásico antiguo hasta el pop moderno. Puede cambiar su voz para que coincida con cualquier canción que cante y hacerla suya. (puede cubrir a Amy Winehouse y Lana del Rey como nadie más)
- Angelina ha colaborado con algunos nombres muy importantes en los últimos años ... Quincy Jones, Mark Ronson, David Foster, Alan Walker y muchos más. Todos la escucharon y quedaron impresionados por su talento.
- Angelina ha escrito cuatro de sus propias canciones originales: "What is Life", "Shield", "Oslo" y "Million Miles" (todas son increíbles ... todas se pueden encontrar en youtube)
En resumen, Angelina Jordan está destinada a ser una de las mejores cantantes que jamás haya existido. Esta es solo mi opinión, pero si escuchas atentamente cualquiera de sus cosas, escucharás la grandeza. Canta con un estilo natural. No hay actuación, no hay alardes, no hay corridas innecesarias, ni grandes notas de cintura con el único propósito de decir "oye, mírame cantar". Una vez dijo "cuando canto entro en un mundo hermoso en mi cabeza", y siempre puedes escuchar los resultados de eso. Cuando Angelina canta es pura alma, pura emoción, pura música.
Actualización: el 26 de agosto de 2020, el gerente / tío de Angelina anunció en una entrevista que habían decidido que Republic Records era la mejor opción para Angelina y que ahora firmó con ellos como su "nueva artista de mayor prioridad". El 6 de noviembre lanzó su primer sencillo bajo Republic ... ¡"Million Miles"! ¡Ya ha hecho mucho, pero a los 14 recién está comenzando!

This was when she won Norway's Got Talent in 2014 at 8 years old.
She is now 14 and has just release her first original after signing with Republic Records a couple of months ago.
It does not end. She has done 130 covers, Adele, Winehouse, Sinatra, Ella, etc, etc. and a few originals.
She does all her arrangements and is known as the boss by the band,

Con respecto a que siempre anda descalza escribió un libro hace unos años explicando los motivos, que seguro te cuentan en otros comentarios.

A heavenly mindblowing unexplainable moment like this occurs, and your life and understanding of music will never again be the same. And dear CECI DOVER, be aware; - since I first went trough this shoch in 2014, this girl, - this ANGEL-ina, has been continuing to surprice and even shoch me, all the way trough her 130 + songs now available on YT, - including her wonderfull CD album "It`s Magic" from 2018.

Angelina is anything but "normal" or average. She is supernormal! A true, one in a billion prodigy! And she's as beautiful inside as a humble, caring, kind, compassionate person as she is on the outside and in her voice! Please keep on the Angelina journey! She's 14 now (as of January 10, 2020) and recently signed with Republic Records. She released her first single with them a couple weeks back called "Million Miles." It's amazing and very emotional in memory of her grandfather and dedicated to all who have lost a loved one this year.

I really enjoyed your review Ceci. Angelina is a true prodigy. In an interview on The View, when she was 8yo, she was asked when did she start to sing and what was her first song. Angelina answered that she was 1.5yo and her first song was Jazz. Her grandmother Mery Zamani introduced Angelina to Jazz and Blues and Angelina fell in love with Billie Holiday.
Angelina used a tablet to find Jazz/Blues performances on TH-cam and taught herself how to sing.
Angelina also has a beautiful soul. When she was 6yo she was travelling in the Middle East and met a poor girl, about her age, trying to make a living weighing people with and old set of bathroom scales. She talked to the girl for a long time and they became friends. Angelina saw that the girl was barefoot and her feet had scars and it was cold so Angelina gave her shoes to the girl. The girl said that she would always pray for Angelina. So, from then on, Angelina always performs barefoot in memory of that girl and all the poor children in the world. She has stuck to that ever since, even for outdoor performances on freezing days in Northern Europe and special occasions like America's Got Talent. She is a prodigy and a saint.

That was fun. "Alma vieja" the very 1st thing that the judges on NGT said to her after "Gloomy Sunday" and nearly every reactor says the same phrase when they hear her for the 1st time.

Angelina is now 14, and just signed a contract with Republic. Her technical skills are just the first layer of the onion. She has more than a hundred covers, many better than the original artists. I've yet to see her nervous.
She also does her own arrangements and is a songwriter as well. The people of Norway consider her a national treasure.

My interpretation of what I saw at the start of this song: The video begins. The camera is zoomed out and the singer is obscured by the trumpet player. The singer begins singing. Immediately Ceci looks around with a stunned countenance. “Did I start the wrong video,” she must have been thinking. The camera begins to zoom in on the singer. Yes! That voice is coming from tiny Angelina Jordan! Ceci’s mind is blown and she must stop the video to absorb what just happened.

Eight years old... the 8th wonder of the world!
It's amazing that even at this age she's not just singing she's using her voice like an instrument. And she looks so comfortable like she knows exactly what she wants to do and how to do it. It's not just musical it's "artistic", as if she's already mastered her instrument and has moved on into interpretation. And her understanding of the song is so mature. To take a song that has been sung by so many and give it a new life takes a special talent. If we were talking about Ella Fitzgerald it would be one thing but an 8-year-old? It's mind blowing.

Thank you for sharing this. I have loved this girl's music since my daughter first sent me a live vid of this little girl singing "what a difference a day makes" like an adult. It's Like Amy Winehouse and Billie Holliday came back and are a little girl from Norway. I pray she gets as big as she would want and avoids all the toxic crud the music industry heaps on kids like her. I would rather see her get early and have a good happy life then end up spent broken and wasting away or worse. Any way great reaction thanks and bless and be well.

Please listen to "Bohemian Rhapsody" which she performed on America's Got Talent (late 2019) just before she turned age 14 on January 10, 2020. Then on the same competition she sang a rendition of Elton John's Yellow Brick Road. They only allow 2,5 minutes per song on this competition. You won't be disappointed. No one is.

Loved this reaction, and have enjoyed many if your Angelina Jordan reactions... I am promoted on having listened to this particular reaction to finally make an observation. It's the comment " the only thing I could find was she didn't end with the music"... Angelina even at that age sang from her heart and in the moment changes how/when she make unplanned changes. JAZZ is very fluid, the borders are blurred. That last note she intentionally held it long, it was in the moment, so to speak.. the trumpet player didn't follow HER LEAD, he dropped the ball😂. This was her last performance before the vote later that night. I believe she just decided to use those lovely/talented lungs to hold that note.
