I was scrolling the comments to see anyone have commented this. As of now, I don't see so here it goes. The Zoldyck children are names have alliterative properties. The elder one's last sound of the name will be the beginning sound of the younger one's name. Illumi ---> Milluki ----> Killua ----> Alluka ----> Kalluto This kinda confirms that Togashi had already thought of an unknown Zoldyck child so probably its not a plot device that was made entirely to help Gon.
That doesn’t confirm Alluka not being a plot device. Even if Togashi knew since the beginning that there would be a fifth Zoldyck child, that doesn’t mean he had the wish granting power in mind after creating the character.
@@ky1at Especially after learning the truth about Alluka’s ability at the end of this arc. Makes it feel like Togashi wanted to erase the consequences in order to keep Gon and Killua safe.

I like this small arc quite a bit. Alukka/the wish monster thing is interesting. And getting illumi/hisoka is interesting too. I am glad theres big punishment for Gon going into his demon mode with hotpants form.
It is alluka, she's transgender(cannonically btw) thats why illumi refers to her with masculine pronouns is because she's biologically male whereas killua uses female pronouns cause thats her preference, him or her there all referring to alluka.also the feitan thing is still just a theory and illumi was definitely talking about alluka
The true reason why the Zoldyck family call Alluka "him" is because Illumi, Milluki, Killua and Kalluto are all boys. They are uses to call each other brother and they didn't except to have a girl in the family. They are all influenced by the family traditions expectations(always give birt to a boy) Killua refers to her as a girl because he's the only one who loves her in the family, and doesn't care about the family rules or traductions.
As for Alluka and the discrepancy regarding how she's addressed, there are a few reasons. One is uncertainty regarding her biological sex. While she was said to be biologically female in an early databook, there have since been sources claiming that all of the Zoldyck children are biologically male. However since Alluka clearly identifies as female, Killua calls her his sister. The other reason, and probably the reason why the other Zoldyck family call her "he" is that they are referring to Nanika ("Something else"), the black-eyed form that emerges when requests are fulfilled. That Nanika is referred to as both "it" and "he", and since the Zoldyck family don't consider Alluka human but only see "That thing", they are referring to it that way. Togashi likes to play around with gender, so he left this issue ambiguous rather than outright confirming one or the other.
Alluka is a female but the family refers to her as it to dehumnaize her, however in japanese the it can also be used for he, hence the confusion came from the subtitles.
0:42 Unfortunately, not really. Maybe Togashi just wants to introduce Ging in this arc to play more part in the next (but sadly uncontinued) arc. The next arc is insane: Ging+Kurapika+Bisky.
I really liked this arc I can’t wait for the rest of the reactions :)) Is it confirmed that mha will take over this slot in patreon? I am thinking about joining for the rest of these hxh reactions and mha if so
Illumi calls Alluka "ototo", he could have said "kyudai"(sibling) or "imotou"(little sister), but he used "ototo" which means little brother or young brother. So Alluka be a trans is pretty possible.
maybe alluka have a jinn half coz are jin suppose to grant wishes? but the consequences are too damn serious man thats a power that really need to be watch our for
It’s never specifically stated and everyone is confused in the beginning, so to make it clear: Alluka is transgender but only Killua accepts that Alluka is a girl at heart

@@Limpass610 "Targaryen Tradition" is also possible...Real royal families do it to keep the wealth intact..In case of the Zoldycks, to keep the family line powerful...
The relationship between Alluka's wishes, and the wishes he grants reminds me of our relationship with the next generations. We can have our wishes, consume, and have fun. But, the burden of those wishes falls to the next generations.
To explain properly how aluca's powers work.. First he will ask you 3 wishes from him a simple ones from the start then after fulfilling those wishes he will turn into a dark being(nanika) and grant 1 absolute wish. After granting that wish The next person will be passed the burden to fulfill those 3 wishes nanika asked.. those wishes is equivalent to how big the previous wish are.. if the next person failed to comply the wish/task he/she and their closest love one and their love ones too will die.. after the last victim die Aluka's wishes (3) will reset to lvl 0(simple wishes again).
for what other reason to parents call their daughter a 'he', haha, it's transphobia. Killua, our heroic protagonist in the meanwhile, calls her by the pronouns of her true self. I hope this makes the family dynamic more clear.
It's most certainly not transphobia. It's disregarding the human Alluka and only seeing the being Nanika, which is referred to as he/it. Killua sees Alluka, so he sees the "she". Love and respect play a role here, of course. But the family only considers Alluka the vessel of the being they call Nanika, which is mostly referred to as "it" & sometimes as "he".
@@mrcx6142 disregarding Alluka as human is what the point of the author making her trans is. it's a double. the author is relating the supernatural aspects of the work in their negative relationship to Alluka through a realistic lens. by connecting this supernatural disrespect to a realistic disrespect that can be understood without a supernatural lens, it allows us to sympathize for Alluka's character in multiple senses; it's an allegory that is also literal.
@@Green-3c34y65vrbu This is what you want to believe, not what has been confirmed. That's a very important distinction. You decided that you want this to be about transphobia and now you are trying to make it fit. We don't have confirmation about it. In fact we don't even have confirmation about Alluka being a trans-girl. Many believe it. I think it would add an interesting dimension and it would fit with how Togashi likes to play with gender at times. But we do have no confirmation. As such we cannot talk about facts here, just about fanon and headcanons. In any case, I think about Alluka as a "her", whether or not she is trans. For Kalluto I'm not too sure but leaning towards "her" as well because she seems to identify as a woman.
@@mrcx6142 You have no idea what you are talking about. Togashi frequently uses trans characters in his manga and uses misgendering as a way of clearly displaying who is and isn't an antagonist. Alluka's family misgenders her and are overtly villainous towards her, Killua loves her and genders her correctly.
Alluka is a boy (all children in Zoldyck family are male, Kalluto too). Their identity is hard to explain, but Killua respects their feelings and uses female pronounce. Other family members don't give a shit and use him or even it.
Alluka shares a body with nanika, it is literally two entities sharing a body. Killua views Alluka as the main body, the family views Nanika as the main body. Both are wrong, as they both more or less share the body 50/50, but Alluka spends a lot more time asleep, making Nanika the pilot most of the time.
tf you mean "Alluka is a boy" then?? Killua respects her feelings and uses female pronouns because she IS a girl. what's with this centrist transphobia?
Nothing trans here, its two personalitys in one body. Its also stated that Alluka/Nanika comes from the Dark Continent, we dont even know if the Mother gave birth.
@@ligakrysu What do you mean "for no reason?" She's a character who gets misgendered by her asshole family. Her being trans seems like the simplest explanation.
Fun fact. Kalluto dressed as woman because he want more attention from Killua, since he think Killua more care with Alluka because he see him as sister. That's why when Kalluto having flashback in Meteor City Ant's battle, he said he's doing it for his brother, and he means Killua. But it turns out their mother is the one who like him the most 😂
That's pure headcanon and there's no mention or even a hint of this throughout the entire story. Most theories about why kalluto dresses as a girl are about his mother and not killua, and even those are just theories.
that's a headcanon. don't present it as fact. we don't know why Kalluto dresses in what is traditionally considered women's clothing, nor do we know who he's "doing" anything for. all we know is it's *a* brother.
Day 199 of telling Carlie and Ange that Hisoka isn't actually a pedo***** until they replay. He’s sexually attracted to power. And he doesn’t care if it’s coming from machi or gon. I don’t think Hisoka has a regular sex drive. I believe his whole existence is based on the drive to prove himself against powerful opponents - so his sex drive also manifests itself as attraction for power and potential. A pedo is a person who is attracted to children because they are children therefore I don't think he is a pedo Just treat him like a normal character and forget it 😅😅😅
Hisoka literally stared at two children's asses and you're saying he's not a pedo? Obviously he's addicted to power but there's no justification for the Greed Island scene, and it's even worse in the manga because before that he even had a erection in the river scene in front of two children. hisoka didn't face two children's butts because of nen, carlie and ange's discomfort is justifiable.
Its called autassassinophilia, which is being aroused by life threatening situations or people. Hisoka also mentions multiple times he's interested in Gon and Killua's POTENTIAL.
Both can be true, in greed Island he is straight up staring at their ass the entire time. That has nothing to do with a fight. If you wanna argue "oh because they are strong" ur delusional. He gets horny off of strong people but he's also a pedo.

I couldn’t wait until you guys meet Alluka! I’m so happy the time has finally come 😆 Alluka is biologically male but she identifies herself as a female so she’s cannon trans, and the Zoldycks label her as a he but Killua is the only one who doesn’t
Alluka was born a male and I also believe Kalluto was born a male. But Alluka is a canonically trans character, but since the family doesn’t view her as a family member they just refer to her with he/him pronouns. For Kalluto I heard something about about the mom always wishing for a daughter so she dressed Kalluto up as a girl to the point she know identifies as a girl

@@Wisewolfholo4 People still like to label Alluka to fit their own narrative though 😅
@@dontghostbanmeplz8788 I know its the uncultural normies who just have to make it fit their claustrophobic walls of comfort.
Wouldn't that make Alluka the strongest Nen user to ever live?
0:42 Unfortunately, not really. Maybe Togashi just wants to introduce Ging in this arc to play more part in the next (but sadly uncontinued) arc. The next arc is insane: Ging+Kurapika+Bisky.
Im waiting for this .

Illumi calls Alluka "ototo", he could have said "kyudai"(sibling) or "imotou"(little sister), but he used "ototo" which means little brother or young brother. So Alluka be a trans is pretty possible.
@25:25, why would you think that? Gon is always worth it for killua, that’s the point of the whole show. 😂

theory/spoiler - Add to the mystery... Gon and Aluka possibly came from the same place... the Dark Continent
alluka gender discourse lets goooo
Wild Theory...Alluka and Kalluto are both female but the Family & Butlers spread rumors that all the siblings are male maybe because male are more powerful OR they practice inbreeding and they don't want to reveal that to outsiders...
The outside image makea more sense to me.
I always thought of it as the zoldick family is a family of assassins thus having a certain reputation, mystery and rumours about them
And them having only boys reinforce that reputation

The relationship between Alluka's wishes, and the wishes he grants reminds me of our relationship with the next generations. We can have our wishes, consume, and have fun. But, the burden of those wishes falls to the next generations.
dammn they're cutting the good scenes😢 and yeah they're cutting too much
Patreon is 5$
To explain properly how aluca's powers work..
First he will ask you 3 wishes from him a simple ones from the start then after fulfilling those wishes he will turn into a dark being(nanika) and grant 1 absolute wish.
After granting that wish
The next person will be passed the burden to fulfill those 3 wishes nanika asked..
those wishes is equivalent to how big the previous wish are.. if the next person failed to comply the wish/task he/she and their closest love one and their love ones too will die.. after the last victim die
Aluka's wishes (3) will reset to lvl 0(simple wishes again).
Correction nanika ask 3 out of 4 wishes if the 4th and last chance denied = death
Can you guys please please please please watch Bleach if you haven’t next? It’s filled with epic moments just like HxH
for what other reason to parents call their daughter a 'he', haha, it's transphobia. Killua, our heroic protagonist in the meanwhile, calls her by the pronouns of her true self. I hope this makes the family dynamic more clear.
This ^
It's most certainly not transphobia.
In the last episode of this arc, hisoka took alluka before she heals gon and ask her to turn gon on
ai
wait Alluka is boy or a girl??
I'm very confused right now.
@@Procrastinater i know, it's just for some people it's a first watch and the whole nanika thing is a spoiler for them
@@natali_kats They are probably done watching the series by now.
@@Procrastinater they are, but youtube watchers may be not
tf you mean "Alluka is a boy" then?? Killua respects her feelings and uses female pronouns because she IS a girl. what's with this centrist transphobia?
yeah Alluka is trans but her family disowns her, leaving only Killua to respect Alluka.
Not even confirmed fyi
she's not trans bro.... alluka is a she... but the other thing is a male. that's it.
Nothing trans here, its two personalitys in one body.
Its also stated that Alluka/Nanika comes from the Dark Continent, we dont even know if the Mother gave birth.
@@henriklarssen1331 yeah honestly I hate when they give this as a fact which isn’t.
@@legoshirocha I'd like to mention it isn't a farfetched idea considering Togashi's prior works.
Alluka could turn to the camera and say, in perfect English, "I am a trans girl," and anime fans would still somehow argue about it.
Or she could say "I'm just normal" and you would still label her trans for no reason.
@@ligakrysu Being trans is normal
@@ligakrysu What do you mean "for no reason?" She's a character who gets misgendered by her asshole family. Her being trans seems like the simplest explanation.
@@ligakrysu what's not normal about being trans?
@@kyopium3676 By definition it is not normal.
HxH ended with meruems death.. this is just bs
All you people do is log on, post headcannon and claim it as "fun facts" and lie.
A pedo is a person who is attracted to children because they are children therefore I don't think he is a pedo
Just treat him like a normal character and forget it 😅😅😅
Hisoka literally stared at two children's asses and you're saying he's not a pedo?
Alluka is a born female but the family calls her “it” to dehumanize her, “it” and “he/him” are both pronounced as “kare” in Japanese so the subtitles are the problem not those stupid theories of the fandom! Stop forcing that shit on people
I couldn’t wait until you guys meet Alluka! I’m so happy the time has finally come 😆
Alluka is biologically male but she identifies herself as a female so she’s cannon trans, and the Zoldycks label her as a he but Killua is the only one who doesn’t
Does Ange have similar feelings about Goku that he does about Ging? because imo Goku is easily as bad as Ging as a father.
Alluka was born a male and I also believe Kalluto was born a male. But Alluka is a canonically trans character, but since the family doesn’t view her as a family member they just refer to her with he/him pronouns.
For Kalluto I heard something about about the mom always wishing for a daughter so she dressed Kalluto up as a girl to the point she know identifies as a girl
there is no defined correct answer because the author himself has made the characters whole lore ambiguous
Alluka is a biological male, but feels like a girl. Killua respects this so he calles her as such. The others call Alluka "it/he".
