As someone from the southern United States, I have never taken the time to think about people from other countries finding full-size pickups as intimidating to drive because there are more trucks here than cars almost. I love that you are enjoying it!
thats because in Europe we have small roads especially UK roads are like a little boxes for Mini Coopers
Finally something that actually has some room, instead of bashing your legs on everything, hitting passengers elbows, not being able to stretch your legs out & can actually have three car seats in the back.
Just purchased a 2012 Ram Laramie. I've owned a few Rams...but never a Laramie. Of course, as we move up the model years through 2022...the 2012, seems to be where it all began in the luxury truck market. Love the truck, has 80k miles...and looks, drives new. Very, very refined inside the cab... gorgeous exterior finish, with a intimidating powerful powerplant.....you just have to experience it's capibilities for yourself to get it....
Living in Ontario Canada I love my 4th gen dodge ram, I abuse it as a work truck and gone off roading, it just keeps going, remember if you can't dodge it, ram it lol.
I'd love a Cummins diesel ram
Have you made the video about the day to day practicalities of a ram? I’d be keen to see it!
YES JAMIE! Man I fuckin love your taste in cars 👌🔥
Awesome truck! Would love to own one one day 🤞🤞
I do really like it. I want another pick up. I sold my Navara as it wouldn’t fit in the work multi-storey. But now I am working from home, so........ lol
Buying one this spring 🤍
My mate has one of these and it doesn't even do 18mpg....he loves it but why anyone would want a car or in this case a truck that doesn't even do 20mpg is beyond me, he had his converted to RWD though too.
I really don't even consider fuel costs when I buy a vehicle and I average about 18,000 miles a year. At 16 miles per US gallon, that is 1,125 gallons a year. Regular unleaded fuel is $3.40 a gallon, so fuel would be around $3,800. Well worth it for the capability and the comfort when you consider how many hours that you spend in a vehicle(for me 500 to 600 hours per year).
That being said, I wouldn't buy a 150/1500 series pickup. They lack the capabilities of the larger pickup trucks and they are build with lighter duty parts and softer suspensions. My older (2011) Ram 2500 diesel would get 20 mpg highway without a trailer and had no problem towing my 30' enclosed car hauler at its full 14,000 lb weight. The 2500 proved to be too small once I got a second trailer that has a 26,000 lb gross weight.
BTW: You friend could have just installed a free spin kit with manual locking hubs and had the option to run as a 2wd with the entire front drivetrain disconnected or regular 4wd. It makes about 2 mpg difference when the hubs are unlocked.
Be interested to see this parked next to a UK spec pick up, like a navara or l200
I do love dodge rams they look great 👌🏼😈
Good luck off when your off road your gonna need it
DODGE RAM THE TRUCK of all years! It’s been dominating since birth ! 🦾🐏
I have the same neck cushions as you in my 300C btw 👀👌😂
So weird seeing you sat on the opposite side😂. These are the engines the UK shoulda got!
Jamie! What’s the truck like as a daily ?
Wanting to sell my Ford ranger wildtrak, wanting to get one of these beasts!
Am looking to get one myself
One day!
Get it mapped you’ll see a massive difference
I have a 2011 Ram 1500 outdoorsman and I love mine, except the gas mileage is horrible
Hell yea brother, mopar or no car 🇺🇸 🦅
What is the trim level?
Love dodge rams my old boss has one with a viper engine in it an it's 750 bhp
Yeh the srt 10. My old landlord has one.
But my v6 turbo would be leaving it behind (if the ram was at the stock power level)
Stock they are around 510bhp to the wheels.
I do’nt like american cars but maybe i have to try one some day... Greatings from Sthlm Sweden.
Why don't you like American cars? My GT350 is good fun. Wish Volvo still made fast bricks.
Hi there, just wondering if you have had any problems with the Ram? I'm looking to buy one (sort of waiting for the right one to turn up for sale - 2011-2013 5.7 Hemi Crew cab.)
Thanks for your time, and great vids,
Brian :)
Why specifically 2011-2013 ?
@@ryanknoetgen4044 It was the price range I was looking at, that also had cooled and heated seats, and the face lift which I liked. I ended up having to get a Nissan Armada SUV because the boss told me we needed room for the dogs! I'm still looking at Ram 1500's but wont be able to buy for at least a year now thanks to Ze Furher's Orderz! Never let women dictate your dreams!
Baby seat 👀
Here's some advice on what to look for in a truck, from an American perspective.
Don't worry about the HP rating; torque is what you need to look for.
I want one so bad I’m 20 years olddd😭😭😭
I got a single cab fast ass hell
Put the heated steering wheel on? So how have you driven down the road with the wheel off? Surely you should be ina ditch by now xD
You "literally have the whole 306 in the back", has the body been crushed? 😃😃😃😃
Hi
What’s insurance like ?
You can't afford if you need to ask
Jesus this editing does my head in. Why do you cut out 0.5 seconds of video between the odd word?
cos he can't string a sentence together without messing up, he a spastic
@@joehodges9871 its not his fault he is diabetic.
V8 big block....turbo time!
Gotta be cheap to service because it's costing £40 to get to the garage 15mins down the road 😲
@andrew
The six speed transmission isn’t up to the task.
@@stuartstuart866 The 1500 has an 8 speed ZF(8HP75) unit now. As long as you don't go crazy on the torque it is good. It's rated to around 550 lb ft/750nm. The TRX gets a stronger ZF unit.
If your a good driver you dont even think about the size of the vehicle or driving position at all.
Whats the point? You wont take it off road and you have got nothing to put in the back. Talk about clutching at straws.
12 mpg no thanks
I'd like a 300c with that engine instead of a horrid 3.0 Diesel that they nearly all came with in the UK.
Called a poor man's rolls for a reason lol
@@MikelDog 😂
@@MikelDog Never even knew there was a diesel. Most of the ones in the US run the hemi. Think you might be able to get the 392 in it too.
@@RCXDerp The 392 was in the SRT variant of the 300. Never heard of a diesel Chrysler 300 before.
Dude corny . Relax bro 5.7 hemi is slow as hell just wanted to hear if it’s reliable or not
Truck* truck* truck* truck*
