Great video! Youve done a great job restoring the truck. I work as a mechanic in Quebec. We call it the "accessory belt" in English and the "couroie serpentine" in French. Auxiliary Belt works too though, ill add that to my vocabulary. If the truck came from Canada you will have rust problems on it. During the winter the roads are covered in a thick soup of semi-melted ice and salt and small pieces of gravel and sand. All roads, highways too. The tires are whipping this mixture into the underside of the vehicle 6 months of the year. Then the spring comes and if its not pressure washed the sand-salt that got into all the small cracks will turn into soil and start rusting. These trucks actually do well relative to other cars. Its common here to see a 12 year old Honda/Hyundai missing pieces of its footwells. Or first generation Mazda3's which were notorious for digging out holes in the car body right where mudguards would usually go. After a while the spray from the tires would start pilling up in the trunk(boot) and cabin lol. If you can when you get the time, hook up a air blow gun to an air compressor and blast some air inside the frame rails, lower body panels and engine subframe. it might still be full of accumulated sand-salt.
Yea once I found out where it had really come from undersealing was my main job but it had got hold bottom of doors and under the arches But still looks an amazing truck And enjoyed the extras I did in the other videos Great to hear from you and thanks for commenting and watching bud Take care
Congrats on your truck from a fellow Ram owner from Florida. Beautiful truck, happy getting a new lease on life. Rams are notorious for rust, especially out of the north.
Perhaps when I drive across Europe to the UK, we can troll around the city with your truck and my truck. Mine will shock everyone I'll admit but it would still be fun :)
nice video Mark, I wouldn't like to see you coming around a blind corner.... though in my k11 micra i'd probably be able to just drive straight underneath you haha, take it easy man!
@@TheDervMan it's just the lights lol Got to trace or make a trigger switch so when in reverse the lights come on bud Wow can't imagine pushing this 3.1 ton truck !!
I saw this one for sale, I wouldn't have paid that with those issues to be honest mate but each to their own! That red light on the dash is your handbrake registering as on by the way! MPG is also in US gallons so might be a bit more :)
Oh ok with the hand brake as it didn't work , I have tightened it up now and it works but have to replace the rear pads so may as well overhaul the whole thing while in there thanks bud And yes but as I said I bought it with my heart lol However it is coming around Thanks bud
@@marksavage It might well be the microswitch at the top of the pedal mate. Chrysler got the system from old mercs believe it or not - common issue on 300C's also. Try lifting the handbrake pedal all the way up whilst it's on, see if it turns off.
Hi mark I’ve been watching some of your old videos fixing up a Yamaha aerox I’ve recently braught a yq100cc one could you tell me where the engine number would be too as I can’t seem to find it
It should be at the rear either side or can even be underneath! But as you don't know the history of the bike the engine may have been changed If you can't find it, it might not have one !!! Why you after it as only the frame number counts for the UK mot
@@marksavage okay thanks couldn’t find it but wanted to try and find it to see if the engines ever been changed and not updated in the logbook but that’s good news that I only need the frame number for mot
Thanks all for watching live with me
Take care
Next video on this truck will be a service and a new exhaust system delete that I'm fitting
Saving me a lot of money !!

@@marksavage Ace dude! Get yourself a cheap OBD2 bluetooth/USB connector and AlfaOBD (app) and you should be able to disable TPMS also. Enjoy!

Thanks bud and oh yes
Think you going to need to get a ladder Mark.
Well I can step in but the poor wife can't lol
But for the service yes defo do
Hi mark , can you not get the tyre warning coded out ?
There's a bypass gadget you can buy but as someone said on here it turned out that the beeping was the hand brake sensor
Which I've sorted bud
