If arsenal appoint ancelotti then they are a bigger joke than i thought, talk about going off name brand without looking even slightly below the surface, everything carragher said about ancelotti is correct, he doesnt do rebuilds, he doesnt stay at clubs for a long time and he takes teams that are already good and makes them great. Arsenal need a young progressive manager who is willing to stay for years and rebuild that club from top to bottom

Man Utd and Arsenal are in the exact same situations Arsenal are just at Moise stage Utd were in. The common factor for me is the fact that both clubs are owned by Americans.

Stan Kroenke is a property developer. He is developing a 298 acre sports and entertainment complex in LA including a new stadium for his LA Rams club. This project is bigger than Disney World and will cost $5 Billion. There is no money for Arsenal football club or interest in its football ambitions. The stadium generates income and is a good property investment. No problem for them if Arsenal stay mid table (or lower). The property is the value.

The irony is, Souness us slagging Wenger off in the stadium Wenger built, on the back of huge success. And it's extraordinary that nobody amongst these pundits acknowledge the immense work he did to keep a young squad in the top four in the Premier League, where all the top quality left every summer, on a budget. Wenger was an incredible manager. Admittedly, Wenger should have bowed out after 2014's FA cup win, perhaps paving the way for Klopp, who would have been a logical successor to Wenger. Oh well, never mind...Arteta is showing spunk. Lets see where he takes us

Ancelotti is a top manager who rebuilds top teams. Going to team like Napoli is like an underdog team. Pep could never manages those teams just behind the best teams in their league like a Dortmond, Napoli, Athletico even United and Arsenal. Pep will join PSG or Juventus once he leaves because they already have world class squads

Funny hearing "Have to start somewhere" associated with a club like Arsenal ;D That phrase literally used to apply to teams a league or 2 below the Premier League or even to clubs in leagues abroad for a manager to start building roots and learning but now its being attached to Arsenal which is a sign of the times. I think that Arsenal need a manager with experience and the people who make the decisions behind the scenes need to back that manager to the end of the earth, provided the managers results are acceptable within reason with the quality of the squad. Cant give someone like Ancelloti or Benitez for example, this current squad and expect them to lift Arsenal back up the table to 4th and boot them when at the end of the season he hasnt. I think the people behind the scenes succumbed to public pressure, see Xhaka situation, and have let it cloud their decision making. I think the next manager needs 1-2 seasons to start implementing SERIOUS changes like players, systems, mentality.
