R Y Arteta can’t fix our defence immediately, but I believe he CAN mitigate our defensive woes for now. If he’s able to get this team playing free flowing attacking football again, attack will be our greatest defense, at least until the summer where he can make substantial recruitments toward rebuilding our defence.

I'm not even saying that Arteta will perform even remotely as well, but that inexperience argument is irrelevant.
If I am Arteta, I will first of all ask the Arsenal FC owner/owners if they will make funds available to buy my own choice of players. Manager is not the problem of Arsenal FC but the owner/owners.

Arteta is going to have to teach his young players to have fun with VAR, because there is nothing else you can do when VAR stops the game for 4-5 minutes at a time. Maybe bring some yard furniture and have a cooler with some Cokes. And when VAR stops the game, have your players all gather on the sidelines and sit to have a drink and a laff. It's a new era for the game, but it's the same game that's been around for a century. But YES, every coach started somewhere learning from someone else. the guy that learns the most, is the one that will shine. IMO

What made Arteta a good coach. He hasn’t coached any team yet the hype that he will do great things is crazy .. Sir Alex Ferguson’s assistant coach left and went to coach many teams and he’s been very poor. Arsenal will be really disappointed if they think they got a Pep
Nwene Michael Ferguson didn’t have a clear footballing philosophy bro..what he did have is a way of installing winning mentality, work ethics and how to grind out results. His leadership and ruthlessness was what made his team decisive. And that’s why he struggled when facing pep’s Barcelona and the great Arsenal of the invincible era. Because those two teams had a footballing philosophies. something that you can learn and implement if you’ve enuf time to study under someone like pep or Wenger just like pep learnt under Cruyf.

Arteta has to come in and change the whole culture of the football club.. get rid of some deadwood and players that dont want to play for the club and replace with players that fit his style and philosophy and fix the defensive problems that has been there for years.
Emery was the chance. Didn't see it through. Was owed a bad spell in on,y his second season to ride it out till christmas and sort the defence and get rid of rotten players. Big mistake. Now have manager that is Emery-lite, a version of him if he is lucky.

- Arsenal should Sign 2 Big money defenders over the course of two transfer windows Such as a Varane, Marquinhos, Umpamecano etc
- Sign a ball winning hungry midfielder a player profile similar to Kante, Caesmiro, Fernandinho, Fabinho etc Torriera shouldn’t be the only Central defensive midfielder who has these qualities.
Although the names I’ve mentioned are big names and your probably thinking why would those names come to arsenal with the situation they’re in now. I believe being ambitious and Cutthroat in the transfer market getting players that every team would want is the first step in changing Arsenal.
- I’m confident Arteta can coach and that he can coach at a high standard but he would work wonders for arsenal if the club actually go out and get the correct players. Being ruthless is only way!
For me you have to change the whole squad it’s one of the biggest rebuild jobs I’ve ever seen if it were a builder giving a quote there would be a lot of tuts and sharp intakes of breath. The only players who survive are tierney auba martinelli saka maybe Pepe.

Culture, they need a strong spine and a never say die attitude, easier said than done and not sure Arteta is the right guy but time will tell.
A complete overhaul is what we need. It may take a few seasons, but we need completely different personnel. Almost everyone we’ve got rn is either starting to wash up or not committed enough to the club, with a few exceptions like bellerin. We need to take a few steps backwards before we start heading forwards again

The defence alone can’t keep out attacks without the midfield. The top teams even have their attackers track back!

Honestly, I think Arteta is a good choice. Someone who actually understands what it means to play for that shirt.
Is it a hard job? Of course, we are an absolute mess.
But I’m sure he’s more than capable of seeing where there are problems and having an idea to fix it.
The main issue is the clear out. Arteta needs to be given funds to allow him to get rid of deadwood or players we can get a good price for.
Arteta is very precise in man management which we have needed for ages. He also learned from Pep. It doesn’t mean he’ll become Pep but taking knowledge from Wenger and Pep who are very different in their ways will definitely allow him to show his capabilities. It may take a few weeks to get into form we need, but I genuinely think he’ll do great given the backing from the bird and support from the fans. No more half lazy performances where the front 3 don’t press and the midfield is clueless. Leaving the defence exposed over and over again.

He was upset as much as he didnt do anything in the city game. He was frustrated with the way we defended. That shows that a player cares when they are losing. He's not good enough anymore because players like his type are luxury in the game now but I believe this fan base react to every single thing.
