The old hacksaw does tend to wander and most of the time it works out because the fittings are deep enough to accommodate the small amount of "crooked". If things are less tolerant of error, it is a good idea to make up a little miter box out of scraps. I enjoy your enthusiasm and how you work together. jim

I see it all the time . I have a Catalina c22 the guy I bought it from rebuilt aircraft my friend owns a c22 he likes air shows and quad copters and on and on .
