Hi I'm Melissa from Vegas and I enjoyed watching your shopping trips to the thrift stores here great insights on your rankings . Last but not least another word for vibes, here in Las Vegas where glitz and glamour go hand and hand, it's really all about the mood and lighting that's the "ambiance!"
You missed us when you were here please come visit The Giving Store in Henderson 274 Lake Mead Parkway. We are a great non profit. With great deals. Ask for me Mike when you come by. Thanks can’t wait to meet you.
The vibes of Opportunity Village might be low, but their intention is A+. Opportunity Village is a complex that gives various types of assistance to many different types of people who have many different abilities.
Years ago assistance league was cheaper, but now it’s way overpriced. Because there are so many resellers here you never know which thrift store will be good, and which ones will be hit by everyone else.
Of all the little local thrift stores I'm so happy you found Dog Junkies! Was just in there yesterday and I scored on a bunch of quilting fabric. Of all things. And the best people. Try to never go in Goodwill or Savers anymore. They are just insane with their prices.
I agree with the lady you spoke to - Castaways is the worst. Savers is also the worst due to their lack of ethics being for profit but fooling people into thinking they're non-profit and having high prices so that the prices become average on Mondays when they have the 50% off sale. None in town are great.
All the thrift store in Vegas suck. Look at what the salvation army stores are doing in this town. Their 6.99 for a long sleeve shirt has risen to 10.99 in a matter of months. I wont be going back. Even at 25% off and on specials you'll be paying a fortune for a simple shirt. not to mention seeing Jeans at $19.99 etc. Ridiculous! They are pricing themselves out of biz. Whos going to be going here. The store is empty most days anyway and they wonder why?
@@mihalyfreeman5928 I believe the price increases are to pay for all the theft in California. We need to move the state further away from California and let Utah deal with it.
@@mihalyfreeman5928Savers and Goodwill have become pricey. I saw both places selling current Dollar Tree Halloween items for more than DT prices. And broken dolls without clothes for $10.
the Savers in Summerlin at 8530 W Lake Mead is hands down THE BEST in Vegas! Also, you should hit up the estate sales in Sun City Summerlin. I always see resellers there.
You missed the best shop in the Vegas valley:Full Circle Resale Store: Veterans Helping Veterans. It’s at 6250 Mountain Vista in Henderson not far from Ethel M Chocolates. Every quarter they donate 10% of their sales-not the profit, total sales to a local veteran’s charity, a different one each quarter. If you don’t see what you’re looking for ask about it. They have quite a large stock in the back and may not have had room on the sales floor yet. For locals wanting to donate, you get 10% off on your purchase that day. And yes I’m biased, the owners are my son (veteran of 22 years in the Navy) and daughter-in-law.
That first Savers is massive but it's just kinda trashed lately and I stopped going. Last year at one point my girlfriend ran into Murray The Magician there, and he had apparently found a Gucci jacket for 10 bucks. (even if it was a KO, seems decent)
Either drive south to the Terrible’s stop in Jean Nevada. They have a white Castle there that is pretty good or you have to go to the Midwest if you want real good white Castle burgers forget about getting a white Castle burger in Vegas they’re crap.
@@tycetycebaby I grew up with a Midwest White castles, which were amazing, especially in the suburbs. I'd say go to Portland Oregon because Niketown headquarters is in Beaverton Oregon witches on the outskirts of Portland and Adidas headquarters is also in Portland and so is Columbia Sportswear and if you are an employee of any of those companies they get their merchandise Pennies on the dollar and a lot of their newly used stuff goes to the Goodwills so good luck buddy I gave you what I know because I used to live there and I have probably 200 pairs of Nikes😂😂😂😂

That goodwill used to be one of my go to for sourcing when i started.
If you go to AZ, the best place to go are estate sales in Sun City usually for vintage stuff because of all the retirees that live there
Man that jack n box brought back memory's, went to the high school and college that are literally across the street from there

The walmart in Oceanside CA. Clearance section has cheaper stuff for brand new.
