This was really cool. I just booked my 4th trip to Mexico City and am now realizing I have to get out to some of the other places, like Guanajuato, SMA, and Merida! You guys rock - keep up the excellent work!
Mérida is amazing man, I was there last summer and it's amazing how different people are from the rest of Mexico. I mean I'm Mexican so I can spot those differences, maybe you won't, but they exist. Actually Yucatán (along with Q. Roo, Cozumel and other entities) have tried more than once to declare their independence from the Mexican Republic. Also I really really recommend Oaxaca and Chiapas.
And then go to Baja ... roadtrip to La Paz, starting from Chihuahua in El Chepe train... one of the best trips I have ever done... i am mexican but have been fortunate to travel quite a lot in US, Europe, Canada, South America , Mexico... and still that trip thru Barrancas del Cobre and ending up in La Paz is one of my favorites!!...

I'm from LA. I love Mexico. It helps that I can speak the language fluently, at a high level. I'd try to convince my wife to do retirement there...but she doesn't speak Spanish and she's Korean from Korea...so there may be another push-pull factor. For myself, though, I love Mexico City. It seems so lively and I could see myself basing myself in DF. I doubt I'll ever buy, though. When I cash out my retirement, I don't want to put my savings into a non-liquid asset. You can do quite well renting something very nice in DF...

CDMX is a great place to fly into and then take a short trip from! Puebla, cholula, Taxco, Cuernavaca, SMA, Guanajuato, and on and on and on! :)

Another great video! Lately I've been watching all these videos about what foreigners think about Mexico and I'm quite glad to hear how much they enjoy Mexico and this video did not disappoint me. I wish I could visit Guanajuato(the capital) , my mother's home state. I've always thought the bajio region was the best-looking area in Mexico.
