How to Play Gardevoir with new Tricks! (Pokemon TCG Puzzles)

    There's a much better line in the first puzzle that leaves the opponent with 2 cards, no Refinements, and only Boss's Orders as an out to stay alive, not even win:
    • Artazon for 2nd Munkidori
    • Earthen Vessel or Dark Energy
    • Attach Dark Energy to 2nd Munkidori
    • Counter Catcher Gardevoir ex
    • Iono
    • Retreat into Flutter Mane
    • Psychic Embrace 3 Energy to Flutter Mane
    • Psychic Embrace 2 Energy to your Gardevoir ex
    • Munkidori from Flutter Manne to Kirlia
    • 2nd Munkidori from Gardevoir ex to Kirlia
    • Flutter Mane 90 active, 20 to KO Kirlia
    If the opponent finds Turo's Scenario, they can Munkidori 30 to your Kirlia, Turo their Gardevoir ex, then KO your Kirlia, you KO their Scream Tail with Gardevoir ex and leave them no way to take their final prize card.
    If they find Boss, they can't KO your Gardevoir ex with Drifloon because 2 Energy are trapped on their Scream Tail. If they take any KO, you have all your Arvens as Counter Catcher outs to win by KO-ing their Gardevoir ex with your Gardevoir ex. (If you had not put 2 Energy on Gardevoir ex, they could trap it with their own Flutter Mane.) I think their best line is Boss's Orders your Gardevoir ex, move 30 from their Gardevoir ex to it, and then Scream Tail 80 to it. You'd need your own Boss's Orders to win that turn, but I think you should still be favored from that position just by KO-ing Scream Tail. If they put any more damage on Scream Tail, you get a double KO with Flutter Mane + double Munkidori KO Scream Tail + Manaphy.

      This was what I was routing as my first solution, then unpaused, listened to the recording and was confused why it wasn't mentioned, then scrolled down and saw the comment. You rock!

      This was what I eventually ended up with as well, thought it was what you were going for when you mentioned bring up the gardevoir but never went beyond that 🤣

    Last game vs zard you could have set up for a 2hko with munkidori and gardy. You hit with munki and move damage to get 90, so zard has 240 left. They HAVE to take a prize or they give you a free turn so theyre attacking with that zard. Then you go double munkidori plus gardy to hit 250 and 2hko the zard. You only need 1 munki if they hit themselves in confusion too so the play works for single munki decks too

    For the scenario against lost box, could you promote flutermane, CC on bundle, attach per turn onto fluttermane, arven for unfair + bravery charm, then w/ monki move 30 from fluttermane to the bundle, then attack for KO on bundle and one damage on hands, one damage on comfey? This allows you to KO hands on your next turn w/ Gardy and potentially KO comfey w/ double monki, while denying amp on fluttermane and preventing your oponent from drawing with comfey during their turn.

      I think this is worse because when you KO with ex you allow them abilities. Much better to punch first, stall out the hands for a turn and then clear it up, going back into ability lock.

    Great video, I learned a ton, thanks! Can someone help me understand a few matchups or situations where cresselia is essential? I keep feeling like it’s nice to have but not essential to have in the deck but am probably missing something 😅

    15:50 can’t u go for dbl munkidori ko hands?
    -Bench 2nd dori
    -Refinement x2
    -If u hit me either vessel(dark works to) or stamp off the 4 cards u can get the other off arven
    -Probably would want to bench Manaphy as well if possible
    -Gardy ex load 3 psychic move 60 to hands and KO + Stamp

      Yeah I missed this! Not used to having the double Monki in deck. This would make your board state fairly awkward but probably worth doing

    the iron hands one stresses me out because they play 3 lost vaccuum so its not hard for them to just lost zone the bravery charm then use iron bundle

    For the first puzzle I was thinking we go double munki + flutter to ko manaphy while cc koing kirlia and Iono them to 2. Should be hard for them to take 2 prizes from there

    Against the Zard, why not go for double Munki, move 60 active and swing with Munki? Not only does it force a 50/50 to attack but even if you whiff the Turo it’s almost kmpossible for them to find game off Iono. Because you did 120 last turn Monkey+Gex swing would be enough

      Yo this is actually such a cool line. Why not bring in the bib first? If they hit turo then confuse them. They can’t turo and boss in the same turn. Both of our lines get kind of crushed by prime catcher.

    The counter catcher isn't live in the last game, so your cc bib backup plan does not work

      Derp. Would have to be boss/Stamp then. The concept is still relevant just doesn’t work in this scenario.

      @@RowanStavenowTCG Maybe what you do instead is trap Bibarel with Flutter Mane and spread damage on Manaphy instead, so that CC can work
