I don't think that growth rates necessarily reflect the characters' innate abilities: Felicia in Fates is a great example of this. Her supports play up how competent she is in battle, but her growths (especially strength) aren't exactly that good. It's for this reason why I think that growth rates affect a character's long-term potential to improve in those areas, and aren't so much about how good they naturally are

They actually made a good Cynthia. I passed down counter from Henry and Lancefaire from Sumia instead of Galeforce. Cynthia can get that skill on her own. One reason I chose lancefaire is because this helps her with lances. Pavise is also good.
Rule one of getting a girl: fix her broken bowls then freak her out. Rule two: introduce her to dark magic. Rule three: trade body's. Rule four: marry the female. And WABAM! You have yourself a female.

The wielder, their morality, and their intentions with that darkness is what matters. Light is the exact same scenario: It's not inherently good anymore than darkness is evil. Both can be used for either happiness, or can cause some terrible calamitous atrocities. What you do with that power is up to you.

Statwhoring is never good, and not to mention the "weeeeeh weeeeh I'm so like FORCED to Chromia" is double bullshit because Chrom/female!Avatar is WAY more pushed on the plot and the stats but nobody whines about it.
