I genuinely think some delusional ideas were developed like that. Someone discovers a thing, that everyone gets naturally by themselves, but the nutjob thinks they discovered something revolutionary.
How are people braindead enough to not notice that she wears fucking glasses and immediately think, "huh, doesn't that go against all this?" I believe that in the near future after the social media apocalypse is over, the human populace will have one singular shared braincell. Maybe even an atom that once belonged to a braincell will be the new shared conscience. Gods... humanity is so screwed.
The lack of effort that is required in a scam is impressive, she could've at least had the decency to put on contacts to not seem like the entire damn circus
As an optometry student, I can't believe I wasted 3.5 years in eye-scam classes for this to finally be revealed ;( Does she think that blind people are just like....liars?
No blonde people just need an extra dose of essential oils. Charlie's wrong they do cure everything. I mean if they didn't work why would they be essential ? Got em
No, she's literally saying they "don't want to see badly enough". It's just another bullshit take on "manifestations" and "well-wish fulfillment". You remember the people who would sell "manifestation courses" to show people how they can manifest things like money and love, and it basically all boiled down to "you just have to picture it in your head and want it badly enough?" Well, I mean they still exist they're just not as prominent as they were ten years ago. She's doing the same thing here... with an added twist of it also being a lead in to a pyramid marketing scheme. I will say this though, she did manage to do one thing that impressed me. She basically got people to pay to watch an advertisement.
Honestly, with social media brain rot... not exactly a stretch of the imagination to think that. I think I thought the same thing near the beginning of the video.
I never actually disbelieved that my eyesight was bad so I was shocked when she made me aware of it. So I did what a logical person would, I took off my glasses, gently put them on the table and said "You have no power over me" and you wouldnt believe I've never seen my glasses since. My glasses if you're reading this: how the f*ck did you disappear like that.
My mom was like this. My younger brother was born with bad eyesight like my uncle, and my mom constantly had the idea that the doctors were "tricking her" and never got a prescription. Eventually when he got to school, he had trouble reading the board and participating in class to the point where the teachers almost called CPS over it, which finally pushed my mom into getting him glasses. He never goes without them now.
@@SemIdeiaDeNome4 lol trust me all we do is comment when we feel like it and people say "we are everywhere" probably because others who watch the same niche of videos as me constantly see me.
I needed to wear glasses all of my life. I'm almost 40 years old and I did just pay $4,000 to get Lasik eye surgery. They shot science lasers into my eyes and now I can see perfectly without glasses. It really is a miracle of modern-day science
My only fear with getting Lasik eye surgery done is that it's not a guarantee, and it can actually potentially fuck up your eyes even worse then what they were before, if not outright blind you in both of those eyes or the one that they worked on or whatever the case.... that's the only thing that is keeping me from getting that done outside of the cost
@@TheRaven-WingGamingbut I mean, that’s true for any surgery. Actual loss of vision is quite rare through the procedure, and most negative symptoms clear up after a short while.
I still distinctly remember putting on glasses for the first time and realizing how much I was missing. I had thought my vision was fine, but at some point I couldn't read the chalkboard in class and couldn't learn to drive until I got glasses. I did not like having to wear them at first, but I got used to it. Maybe her prime targets are people not used to glasses
My parents started to have their doubts when I had to lean a lot closer than reasonable to the digital clock of our VCR. The news shocked me quite a bit.
@@emilefragz1885 I wore contacts for 13 years and after awhile I couldn’t anymore because my allergies got so bad that they would build up to much protein on my contacts making them blurry and uncomfortable. I also wanted to get eye surgery but because of the shape of my eye I can only get the crappier version lol so I’m stuck with thick boy glasses 🥲
Unfortunately for the sane of us, if someone confronts the lady with this argument, she'll just ignore it because it's not HER seeing the difference. I'm just wishing for someone to put this loon on a watchlist already before she does something really crazy like charge 350 clams for a bottle of Jim Humble's MMS.
This video loaded in at 360p, blurry and I thought it was some master gambit because he was talking about needing glasses. Took me until 10mins in to realise it wasn't a gag.
I am 40 and have had glasses since I was 2. My eyes are so bad that I don't qualify for LASIK. Imagine me driving around without glasses because this lady told me I can will myself to see. What a clown.
we are gathered her today in memory of the commenter ⚰️ @Iwannaps5 . We may not know them, but we know they went out in a gnarly fashion bordering on imbecilic. At least they didn’t see it coming. If anyone has anything to add, or say about this commenter, please do so now 🙏 💔

I used to jokingly yell “stop wearing glasses they’re bad for your eyes” at my friends, with everyone knowing full well that this was so absurd it was clearly a joke…..she’s ruined it now
Thing is people have legitimately thought that glasses can make your eyesight progressively worse (but simply existing/aging or over straining your eyes to compensate can't the same way) for a long time, it's a common myth
As an optometrist, the amount of people saying things like "Oh, I can still see well, I don't need glasses" and then they have like -1,50 or more on both eyes is baffling. Also, bad eyesight can come from deformities in your eyeball. For example, a colleague once told me a story of someone with -2,75 on one eye, which is not that crazy, and -80 on the other. No, I did not forget a comma, he had an accident and his eye got squished a bit.
Love how she talks about it as if we’re confused as to wether or not we have bad eyesight. Like I can’t see anything further than 6 inches from my face but it’s really just not enough eye exercises.
Lol, right? I can't see sweet f all without glasses. I think I can see stuff I basically place my nose on and everything else is a smeary blur. I can align my chakras all day and I do little eye strain exercises and relaxation things because my eyes will actually refuse to focus if I don't... but none of that is stopping my eyesight from continuing to decline. Just like so many people in my family.
my optometrist went all out and had shown me slides of dead optic nerves, but it was all a scam in order to fork my money over to Lasik. my first instict should have been to try an MLM.. you are making the right move voidkatzen
Have you tried essential to oil ? I don't know what Charlie's talking about they definitely will cure everything. If they didn't work why would they be essential? 🤔
So for the over 50 years that I have worn glasses because of an astigmatism all I had to do was eye yoga? Man I feel so stupid now, let me give this woman all of my money.
One of my friends mom's was a huge essential oil believer. Their family was dirt poor and could hardly afford anything. But you better believe they had thousands of dollars worth of essential oil all over their house and in their cars, just in case something happened so they could cure themselves. Really sad.
"Their family was dirt poor and could hardly afford anything." That's the reason right there. Thousands of dollars worth of essential oils is still cheaper than paying for medical insurance or trying to pay for medical care without insurance.
@@weebly_ Read my comment again. I said it was cheaper than trying to pay for medical care, which it is. Maybe if the government would put price controls on medical care to make it affordable, desperate people wouldn't be forced to turn to stuff like essential oils.
everytime you go to your cashier: “so how many soapmakers like me come to this store?” 😊 rinse and repeat until you’re the crazy soap lady and not the crazy autism cure oils girl.
to me the funniest part about the "just rub essential oils on you and you'll be fine" is that essential oils are NOT supposed to be applied directly to the skin. They're too strong when undiluted and can cause nasty rashes and allergic reactions.
Well I mean she's wrong but this isn't really true either. Some of them are fine to put on concentrated and if you get an allergic reaction then you should not apply that oil at all. At the end of the day it's just fragrance and it's never essential for you to use a fragrance. Also never in the eyes.
@@ManiacX1999she's not entirely wrong though. The spirituality Chakra bs is nonsense. But "eye exercises" have existed for quite some time, and have a lot of studies, particularly amongst the elderly that help stave off eyesight degradation
No one knew I couldn’t see the blackboard at school, not even me. I just assumed I was stupid (I was 8) and everyone else was kinder & thought I was ‘slow’. I remember the feeling when I got my first pair of glasses. It was the 70’s so there were no kids glasses so I had large plastic framed glasses with actual glass lenses. The were ugly and hurt to wear but I was enthralled by all the things I could see. The blades of grass, the leaves on trees, recognising people before they were directly in front of me. It was a revelation. People who scam others, especially about health related issues, are reprehensible and should be charged with fraud.
i remember getting glasses and the same thing happened to me. i think the trigger for my parents to get me glasses was one day i put on my mom's glasses and said i saw clearer with them on. funny thing is i was already going to the optometrist yearly for checkups, so my vision must have just taken a huge nosedive alongside a growth spurt and suddenly i had like 20/150 vision or something, which has since worsened to 20/300 or something like that.
I made it to 5th grade before needing glasses, because teachers started using those sheet projectors by default. The class would yell "it's blurry!" until our teacher adjusted it enough... except it's still blurry, wtf?? I probably needed them for years before that, but I sat close enough to the front that it wasn't an issue yet lol
That's basically how I learned I needed glasses. I didn't even know I couldn't see untill my teacher told my parents I was squinting and leaning forward to see the board without even realizing it
For me it was college and I legitimately thought that the professor just didn't know how to focus the projector screen better and no one wanted to say anything and dealt with it being blurry. Turned out it was just me, then when I got glasses it was like the world was upgraded to HD all of the sudden and I had forgotten thats what it was supposed to look like.
As someone who used to work in optics, people like this are depressingly common. So many people seem to think that prescribing and dispensing glasses is as simple as reading letters off of a chart and purchasing frames that correspond to those letters. People would accuse me and my colleagues of trying to scam them after telling them that they now needed to consider reading glasses on top of distance glasses. They wouldn't believe us when we explained that new prescriptions can take time to get used to, and are rarely perfect straight away. They would get angry for pointing out that the basic eye test they booked online is only capable of determining their prescription, and is therefore not suitable for ascertaining why their eyelids turned swollen and painful last Tuesday. Optics was hell; the general public seems to be of the delusion that the business of glasses is as simple as browsing a catalogue like you would a menu in a restaurant. People like this influencer aggravate me as they encourage the delusions of the people we try so hard to help.
I'm gonna be *completely* honest than you. I think my farts are quite superior than Moist Critical's Farts. You see, mine aren't only the loudest. But the smelliest. They can kill entire populations at a certain point just by it's horrid stench.
Honestly I don’t get how they think that. Even when I’ve gone in an had my prescription change by one step or whatever I still can see the difference when I walk out of the place lmao.
@@Beyonder8335it’s hard for a lot of people to accept that they aren’t perfect in every conceivable way lol; easier for them to just ignore the problem than admit their eyes aren’t 20/20

That's not really a problem. I mean, if you clean your eyelids daily, you are probably using eyelid wipes with tea tree oil, which is an essential oil.
@@BWMagus the essential oil in skin care produces are used in small amounts and diluted with other ingredients! That’s why you’ll see them either in the middle of an ingredient list!
@@MorganVsTheInternet Pure essential oil is very expensive - even for a scammer, I doubt she's suggesting that you put anything more than a "small amount" of essential oil (especially as a cure to glasses, which would come out cheaper). In the case of the blend she's referring to, it comes at like 75 cents per drop (assuming you use all of the 10 mL without any waste, for a total of around 200 drops). EDIT : after making a bit of research, I found out that she claims to have used it "every day, twice, for a year" and to only have used "a little bit more" than a 10ml bottle - even if we say, for the sake of the argument, that she uses 1 drop per wash (which would be impossible), then that'd come out at 730 drops per year, more than what you could get with 20mL of essential oil, nevermind 10mL! I don't know what's worse - the fact that she didn't even double-check if her bullshit at least made *some* sense, somewhere (in this case, her claimed habit and her claimed amount of essential oil used as to maintain this habit for a year don't match) and if she didn't want to do so, that she didn't refrain from needless lies which would end up contradicting eachother/straying away from common sense further than even most conspirationist would believe - or the fact that people are falling for such obvious bullshit. Even if you're a conspirationist/believer in these alternative medecine type of bullshit, then it also requires you to 1. have a lot of cash to waste on this 2. lack ANY critical thinking skills (not even the bare minimum - no research, nothing is brought into question, etc.) 3. got bad eyesight or have a close family member who does - who is she even scamming !?!

No one ever told me I needed glasses. I told everyone else, because one day when I was 17 years old I realized I couldn't read the text on the projections and whiteboards in high school anymore. How do these people arrive at these conclusions that this isn't real?
i actually got in 'trouble' in 4th grade cuz i accidentally finished the book the class was reading cuz i couldnt see the pages we were supposed to read properly (they were written on the board) and thats the moment ppl were like 'ok u need glasses'
I had this revelation when I reached 40! All of a sudden the text on my phone screen looked a bit blurry and I thought "Ah shit, I hope my screen isn't broken!" I then saw the printed text on a receipt I had in my pocket was blurry too, and quickly came to the realisation that I finally needed glasses. Ironic thing is that the day before I had been reading about (for some reason or another) how your eyesight just naturally starts degrading when you reach 40, and thought to myself "Well, I'm really lucky that it hasn't happened to me yet..." That wasn't a great day...
I think I always needed glasses but didn't realise until drivers ed...then I found out from the optometrist that I'm legally blind even WITH glasses. at least I can see a couple feet in front of me with 'em. 😢
2:44 there are indeed physical reason why people can’t see clearly: there could be a problem with their eye lens, which can be fixed with: glasses. This woman is just sad
Wait, what? I got my eyes checked for a new prescription recently and some lady was arguing with the doctor before I went in. She kept saying her eyes are getting better and she doesn't need glasses and the guy kept repeating something like, "no, they're not. I just checked your eyes. I have been doing this for several years, and I'm telling you that your eyes are getting worse, and you should be wearing your classes." It's possible that they're not related but it's interesting that there's this anti-glasses movement lol
The mind is a funny thing, she might actually believe/feel she has better vision without her eyesight actually improving. What our eyes/sensors pick up isn't necessarily what our brain actually processes and ultimately the image that forms.
I’ve had glasses for a decade and a half, and all I had to do this entire time was BELIEVE I could see? Wow, this has truly changed my life. Glad we have such intellectual people teaching us their secrets like this woman.
Gosh I can't wait to start driving around without my glasses on because this lady told me I just have to believe. I am sure this will have no negative repercussions. Good luck everybody else!
The whole essential oil thing blows my mind with how hooked on it people get. My aunt knew I wasn't sleeping well and thought it was a physical health issue. I was just playing video games really late. So her solution was to get some essential oil diffuser and set that shit up in my room. I have breathing issues, so that made it so hard to breathe at night that I got even less sleep, not to mention how loud the thing was. Eventually I convinced her to take it back, but she's still convinced it was because I "didn't use it enough" or "properly".
Have you considered getting an air filter/cleaner? There are some that are designed for people with strong allergies and the sort, might be able to help you a little even if it ain't exactly necessary
It’s true, I snorted six vials of essential oils, did downward dog with my eyeballs a couple times, and prayed to the gods of vision for 40 days and 40 nights, and now I can read a book from across a football field. This stuff works and I’m disappointed that Charlie would speak out against such an amazing medical innovation
Being an optician, it truly makes me cringe when someone questions the entire profession and suggests replacing it with spiritual healing solely for the purpose of making a profit for themselves.
she's not marketing to the legally blind. she's marketing to people who can't afford proper healthcare and are desperate to cope with it, thus choosing wishful thinking :) she's a great person.
i had a pretty bad case of ''spiritual blindness'' so i went to my nearest exorcist and he gave me lasek, don't have to wear glasses anymore, she has a point.
as someone with VERY bad eyesight, i think it’s rly funny that optometrists “scammed” me. i can’t read for jack from far away, and i didn’t need a professional to tell me my eyes are messed up 😭
This is the part about her claim that's so frustrating. That she thinks you're being "tricked" into the "need" for glasses. Like, bitch, no one told me I needed glasses - I couldn't read street signs when riding passenger in the car to middle school and I self-reported that I can't see shit, and other people seem to be able to. I literally teared up when I put on the first pair of prescription glasses I was given because they allowed me to actually SEE the world around me, it was so intense of a feeling I can still remember the exact moment in time so clearly, I doubt I'll ever forget it. It was like flipping a light switch, immutable improvement to a degree I didn't realize possible.

She is right. I used to wear really thick glasses, barely able to see anything without them. Now my vision is almost 20/20, and all I had to do was go see a healer, who burned the surface of my eyes with a high powered laser.
Yeh, when I had cancer all I had to do was go see the local medicine man who healed me with his magic machine that was able to harness the power of the sun. What are these people even talking about? Pfft.
I can attest to that! I had the same thing done to my eyes. It was magic! I went from 0.5 from being legally blind to being able to see better than 20/20.
Beyond the things inherent to all scams, the really cruel part about grifts like this one is that it’s shifting the blame for disabilities onto the person suffering. “Oh, you think you need glasses? Clearly you’re not taking good care of your body, mind, and spirit.” It’s like telling a paraplegic “You just don’t WANT IT enough, that’s why you can’t walk.” God forbid anyone believe her, the rabbit hole of wounded self esteem that can be. “What do you mean you paid for my courses and still can’t see? You must not be working the program properly. Where’s your faith? Where’s your follow-through? Life is gonna be tough for you if you can’t muster wherewithal, you quitter.”
As an ocular challenged dude, if someone told me that I could cure my nearsightedness with crystals, essential oils and seminars, I would take my glasses off and insert it inside them.
technically, you CAN remedy nearsightedness with crystals! the crystals are called... glass. you put them in front of your eyes and suddenly you can see like a normal person! truly magical. i'm being facetious, though. a lot of lenses nowadays don't contain much glass, if any. similar argument to "any crystal can be a banishing crystal if you chuck it hard enough".

I know there are many religions and different kinds of spirituality- but specifically in Christianity, the third commandment is not to to take God’s name in vain. God is very clear that you are not to drag him into things, or blame him for things he is not a part of. So to blatantly misrepresent him is a huge deal that he is not okay with. People who conduct spiritual scams are really on the naughty list.
Honestly. That’s why when people ask me “are you religious?” I used to say, “I’m more spiritual” but now I just say “not really” cause I’m not tryna explain that I’m not like the crazies you see on the internet pushing all this nonsense.

to be frank, ACTUAL EYE DOCTORS also suggest doing various eye exercises to help improve your eyesight, as glasses actually allow your eyes mussels to do LESS work, which over time will weaken them further than they already are, BUT doing them WILL NOT make you magically not need glasses, they will just allow you to keep the same prescription for longer.
True, having super bad eyesight just seems like such a genetic trap cause it’s like no matter what you do your eyesight will eventually get worse either due to aging, not using the eye muscles enough as you said, or just bad fucking luck. Apparently even LASIK can be reversed over time and lead to you needing glasses again which is just so fucking funny, but hey, I hate having to get new prescriptions so can you toss them eye exercises my way anyway?

The pricing is similar or close to glasses (mine is, and theyre clear contacts), they just have to learn to wear it and get used to it, it only took me a month to. Glasses isnt bad. However, if they wanna wear contacts, especially in cold climate, it wont fog up. One of the good thing, and one reason i wear it.

My parents and I tried everything to slow my vision loss, especially when we were told that my optometrist was concerned I’d end up legally blind. Thankfully my vision levelled out on its own though the glasses I need are very thick. The fact that she’s taking advantage of people that are likely in the same position I was or even people who do end up going blind sickens me. I’d like to think I’m smart enough to see through this but I know when I was desperate and panicking I probably would have fell for it.

This lady probably just had an optometrist tell her she needed a mild reading RX and she got upset then latched onto the only thing that made sense to her lol
I think you're being way too generous and that she actually just had the thought that lots of people wear glasses and that's a great demographic to scam since everyone who needs corrective eye wear would like to not need that
Was holding out hope that maybe this was a misunderstanding of the actual frames being overpriced, especially sunglasses where one manufacturer produce them all from the disposable dollar store brands to the fancy, luxury brands, but she went full on scam claiming to be able to cure bad eyesight with oils 😂
You are correct, the only company to stand up against the heavy hitters in sunglass mass manufacturing and they pushed Oakley out of every sunglass store until their stock dropped so low that Oakley had to sell the company to these predators.
I actually think the price is a huge scam... i, however am not sure how much it takes to produce each type of lense... so maybe the lenses are worth it. All i know is my glasses were 250 and the frame was 75% of the price.

When I saw an optometrist that's basically what they told me "if you start wearing glasses, your eyes will adjust to them and your vision will get worse" or somesuch.
Of course it can gets worse and you get used to them , and depends on them more and more . But usually they're prescribed because you already need them . Having a -1 on a +8 sight accessory is still better than just sitting there at -1 to 3 sight with default stats
After thousands of years of humans creating vision correcting lenses and methods, all we needed was a white woman with an Instagram account to show us the way.
As a Christian, I do believe in the healing power of prayer, but stuff like this really gets under my skin. Dismissing people’s disabilities by saying, “it’s in your head,” or, “you don’t have enough faith,” is insulting. And poking and prodding people just adds salt to the wound.
The type of “spirituality”she’s talking about isn’t the faith based one lmao it’s the one people are obsessed with now which is usually associated with astrology and such (bs), charlie just immediately assumed she was talking about religious spirituality either because he dislikes it or idk something along the lines of that
Ooooo the amount of Christians I’ve had tell me that my physical disabilities and my mental illnesses are due to not being a Christian myself, and that it’ll all go away if I just accept Christ into my life, is so fucking infuriating. Like bestie no, I’m stuck with these until I die but at least modern medicine can somewhat lessen their severity.

Made me think of Family Guy, that last sentence.
