It’s called “buying fresh product”, not being cheap and lazy and buying frozen junk. If they bought their own grinder machine they could even grind their own meat for hamburgers. That old guy is delusional and lazy and just wants to have power over everything and everyone. Pathetic, no wonder he gave up on his own son.
As a Washingtonian, I am absolutely pissed that they claimed you can't get fresh beef for burgers in eastern Washington. There's hundreds of ranches in that part of the state that can do EXACTLY THAT.

I came here, not knowing much about Gordon's shows, but with my dinner plate in hand, thought "hey let's watch a world renowned chef cook". My takeaway is that Hotel Hell is not Hell's Kitchen and that I will use photosynthesis to feed myself from now on since my appetite has divorced me and now how custody of my will to live.

I love the fact that in Florida yet can not make fresh avocado as this starts with. I live in Pennsylvania so up north. We have a restaurant that if you want guacamole. It is fresh and if requested. Actually made at your table. So yummy

A LOT of owners can't get the FROZEN thing down. Well it's fresh...but we freeze it. Maybe the confusion, especially with burgers is because McDonalds lays down frozen burgers on the grill, this dummy just makes the leap to "well it's not frozen when we cook it."
So how in that old man's mind, does leaving your son jobless and potentially penniless save his life?

I still don’t get that get pouring the rotten liquid into the trash bag. Pour it down the drain (the boss even said to) or put the lid back on then put it in the trash. Pouring the liquid into the bin just gives you a big mess when you come to empty the bin later.

I have many of those small strip restaurants near me. I always wonder, and fear, how fresh will the ingredients be?
Never really believed in chains, but Im hoping they have stricter rules on safety precautions at least, but who knows.

There are plenty of good family run restaurants around, just like there are plenty of decent chain restaurants. I don't think it's fair to generalise them all like that.

In fact there is no fresh food now a day if you are in the restaurant , the fact is they serve a frozen meat or a product because it gives them enough time management to prepare your food and serve to you as soon as possible. Preparation is important in the food industry
