It works well for me but I might add some sticky stuff to stop it from lifting when i'm in a fight, also works well for elite dangerouse.

i got some drift on the xy axis for some reason, and i also couldn't find a way to fix it, also my z axis on the stick is very very stiff, as in stiff as if it cannot twist

Got mine. One problem. Landing fear doesn't open. Light,scoop,camera work but no landing gear. What am I doing wrong?

I am interested how well the Hotas has performed over time. I have had both the T16000M and the T-Flight 4. each has developed faulty behavior over time. The T16000M with uncontrollable Rz with no zero centre and yaw hard right. The T-Flight 4 with strong + random Y pitch down and constant roll clockwise. I can't believe I have lucked out on two Thrustmaster products in 12 months.
Great vid! So glad I found your stream when I did.. Definitely made me buy one 100%! I also had a moment where it wouldn't control properly, thought it was busted!! From now on I make sure to sync the Hotas via the PS Button before launching the game :)

Just tried PSVR on AC7 and had to stop after 1 minute, because I need a realistic controller to match the AWESOME realisation of flying a jet fighter OFF A FREAKIN' AIRCRAFT CARRIER - in FULL VR (360degrees vision, independant of aircraft movement).

Any idea how to set this up for PC? I followed the driver installation instructions throughout, but the control panel doesn't read it as the HOTAS 4 (just a flight-stick) and the firmware updater doesn't even register it.... game doesn't register it exists either.
The stick decalibrates rather quickly. When I first got mine I loved it but it started to constantly pitch down and it becomes very frustrating to play with.
i have experienced the same problem, and so have many other users according to online reports and redit comments.. After a few days the pitch constantly scrolls down making it very difficult to fly and combat. Tried so many online suggestion fixes but nothing suggested seems to fix it. So, so, so , so frustrating, :( I have contacted where I purchased the T.Flight H4 but so far getting no replies.... next stop .. call in the garbage rat hauler. Based on my experience I would not recommend this product. I am still looking for a descent ED HOTAS system for ED. ;(

You can login and start the game with the hotas only, you dont need the ds4 on at all... simply press the PS button on the hotas ;) the whole playstation is now controllable with the hotas ;)

i was very pleasantly surprised when i got mine. it's the best bang for buck hotas out there no doubt.
If I was gonna play on PS4, there's no question, I would use the HOTAS for sure.

People, if you don’t have a PS4 then just get the PS3 version, it’s cheaper and just red instead of blue... it feels great.
@gametech ..would you think this would work as a throttle for train sim world 2 PS4 ..or only fight games

I bought one from Best buy and I like it alot! Doesn't make sense why people don't like it.
either they are pc players and have more hi-tech options and/or they have drift problems either because they got a dud but that's a risk with any product or they are to forceful with it or maybe their just trolls

Just ordered one of these. They are stupidly overpriced in NZ like most things are - but I managed to get one for $150 delivered. I've logged about 500 hours in ED on the PS4 using the stupid PS4 controller, but I'm a long time flight sim player used to stick control so excited to be getting this, and to have hands on throttle. Throttle control is the biggest joy-kill on the PS4 controller!

Ha! Reminds me of Wales here this winter - rain, rain and more rain. Good excuse to stay inside and play ED I guess, when I can get the kids off the PS4 that is.
It arrived this morning at 9am, took me a couple of hours to get familiar enough with it, then managed to take out a FAS with my Cobra MK3, which I think would have been a real struggle with the dual shock - then thought I'd go check out one of the Guardian Beacons in my Asp-x, it was such a blast flying around the pylons charging them up. Unfortunately I stupidly didn't think to bring a SUV so after activating and scanning the beacon realised I'd have to go back to the bubble before I could go and check out the co-ordinates it gives. Rookie mistake! Oh well I might as well bring my 'Conda back with me as I'm confident enough now I'm not worried about getting blown up.
Anyway love the unit, even at $150 it's decent value - seems quite sturdy and the movements are smooth, actually better quality than I was expecting. Find I can hit the triangle with the base of my thumb, but the thrust down button could be a little higher as I find I have to move my hand into a slightly awkward positing to be able to hit it and the thrust up fluidly. Only change I made was to bind R3 to change fire groups. Thanks for the recommendation! It is definitely a "game changer"
@GametechUK, how long is the cable between the joystick and throttle?
tell me what I'm doing wrong I connect my joystick and I turn off my PlayStation controller off
as I'm moving my joystick around the screen with a cursor and then pointing on the big axe button on the screen and i press the X buttons on the joystick
it won't click with a cursive pointing on the x button on the war thunder the screen
do I need to go to my War Thunder settings controller to recognize my joystick?
or something?

Its worth it for Elite alone mate.
GametechUK i got it last week for elite on ps4. Its quite cool actually.
I had to go into training for about 20 minutes to get used to the control setup, it was surprisingly easy to get used to and in a thick c**t.
I would recommend it.
Just a quick tip if you start elite with the x on the hotas elite chooses it as the primary controller. I have had no problems with controls that way

okay I plugged in my The Thrustmaster T Flight Hotas 4 to PlayStation 4 and I turn on my PlayStation 4 controller off to use joystick and I'm moving around with the joystick with a cursor pointing on the Button X on the game War Thunder and when i press the x button with joystick on the on the screen and won't let me click the button on the screen
I thought it would be easy just buy the joystick and just plug it in and play

I didn't see the allen key on the base. Actually went out and bought a set. Ho hum! Is a good piece of kit though. Works really well with ED.

I've bought one lately to use it on my PC for Microsoft flight simulator, but unfortunately the throttle stick is not working... the pc cannot get any input from it, i dont know if the problem is from the stick it self or the pc doesnt support it, the buttons on the throttle stick do work btw

As soon as I started looking up flight sticks I came across Dolph flight stick controllers I was wondering if we can connect the dual flight stick controllers through the keyboard adapted to the playstation 4 that's a big question can it be done

I honestly don't get why this is so expensive; It's literally a T.Flight HOTAS X with an RJ-12 port and a new color scheme (and it's the same with the T.Flight HOTAS One, only it's green). The T.Flight HOTAS X is a Thrustmaster Top Gun Afterburner with a selector switch, a button that makes it either 3-axis or 5-axis, and a red color scheme.

@@GametechUK Yeah, such is true. But then again, most things marketed towards gamers come at a premium. Granted, it is nice that the T.Flight series got an upgrade to add pedals.
It will probably all happen again with the PS5.

I have my control set up for war thunder to my controller and I like the way they’re set up but if I connect this to my PS4 will it delete my other controls for my controller that I already have set up I just want to stick to make me feel like I’m actually flying a real plane and for simulater battel for war thunder aswell bc i think it’s easyer with a stick in that particular game mode in or thunder other than that I like the controller but yeah can someone please tell me if it would delete my controls for controller ir if I unplug it it will reset to default or keep them the same?

With the ps4 controler you could unlock the camera and look around the cockpit. How do i do that with the the thrustmaster?

Hi I just got the Hotas 4 for my pc, I tried loading ace combat horizon and dcs world, in both games by default all the buttons work except the throttle control and yaw...is this normal? do I have to configure something? or do I just have a faulty product? thx
Got the Hotas 4 yesterday. I find the throttle feels like it has very little resistance. Can be pushed one way or the other very easily and feels a bit cheap. The stick feels sturdy, but not the throttle. Have you found this too? Any solutions?
The throttle feels fine to me mate to be honest.
I agree, it falls into max throttle by itself. I have up jam rubber in there somehow

Anyone have calibration issues? My ship constantly pitches down when the stick is in the neutral position.

hey just want to make a correction about the ps4 controller being main. when you start the game ypu have to make sure you press x with the hotas and not the duelshock or you will have to do the options. but keep up the good videos thanks

Well no to PS3, and the PS5 wasn't released at time of filming. But it works fine with PS5.

+Optimus Wev It will work with all PC games, you would just have to rebind the buttons. PS4 would need the game to support it. I am sure it will work with Star Wars though.

No mate.
Alrighty, and thanks. Probably just as well, I see it's super expensive.
The Warthog hotas is made especially for Warthog emulation.
It does work with Elite Dangerous (on PC) but there are better alternatives.
And if you're having that kind of money, have a look at _CH Products_ joysticks and throttles.
They are ugly as f*ck but they are so very very good and solid and precise!
Don't know if they are PS4 compatible, though. But if you have a pc you should definitely have a look.

+GametechUK My cargo scoop for some reason. I bound it to O+up which I thought I should have been. And the targeting was not X like it was in the ship; in the rover to target something it is the top button on the stick, just took a while to figure out. But this device makes the game so much more enjoyable. Couldn't imagine playing it with a controller. Love your videos

I love this stick but within 2 weeks its developed a loud as hell creaky noise, is this just the case with all of them? and all sticks in general that are plastic on plastic parts? Its such a shame because you buy them for the immersion and then you have CREEEEEeeeeeeEEE every time you move.
Yea that is a problem and mine has recently started! Would still use this over the controller though.

Yes mate, suprisingly there are 2 free buttons that i know of.

When your throttle is in the central position (zero) and you use a 75% hotkey, does thrust then stay at 75% until you move the throttle? Throttle being at 0% won't supersede the hotkey command, will it?
I have a racing sim - which is the trak racer.... Is there a way to mount/clamp this split to where the gear shifter would go? In your Ace Combat video - yours look mounted!
They are mounts especially made for the GT Omega racing rig. They are prototypes due to go into production very soon. The link is in the description (along with a 5% off coupon code) they will be on the website as soon as they are ready.

Yea thats why i like the GT Omega stuff. It's all modular, so i can easily connect the steering wherl section for when i am racing.

How did you bind the controls to open the left hand side targeting menu, Top left Chat/mission and Audio log bar, and the right hand side systems menu?

I have the Hotas and love it, however I don't get on ED much and I keep forgetting what the other shortcuts for landing etc are. Is there a PDF file or something similar out there for it? On the Thrustmaster website it has one for War Thunder but not Elite ☹️

When you're in game, you might want to go to your right hand panel, browse to the functions tab and turn on the pre-flight checklist. It'll run you through all the controls before you take off.
