By the way, with synths you can get very nice FX. Specially modulated, detuned and pitch shifted stereo delays and lush flangers and choruses. And because you have always 2 engines running you can mix for instance a thick detuning effect plus a BPM synced delay, or a octave down+delay or octave up + chorus, 2 whammys that bend from&to different pitches... You get the idea.
@jflotrogdor I'm going to buy an eventide pedal but i don't know if a must buy the pitchfactor or the timefactor what do you recomend?? I know that the pitchfactor have delay but I really don't know wich I must buy any advice???
At the 6 min mark he shows how to change the pitch of your guitar. For example, you might want to drop your tuning from E to Eb. I have tried this with other pedal (DigiTech HarmonyMan) and, while it works, you can tell that the signal has been altered--there are audible and undesirable warbling sounds that are introduced. Can this pedal do the same thing, but without any of the warbling or other digital artifacts? I'm sure Eventide is better, but is it still noticeable? Thanks for any help!
Me too. I've recorded a lot of stuff and went back over it, which was good practice, but I know some people that just use this (or the old trusty) and it actually sounds better. Even when they showed me tracks they dualed without it then with it, it was still better.
good demo young man thank you ,...to join the debate,,,i love analogue but cannot find any thing that will do certain of these effects as well as the pitch factor,,had the strymon great unit , still to sterile for me , recently purchased and fulltone solid state tape delay, not all its cracked up to be, trex have a cassette tape delay that i will check out , be interested to hear if any one has found a way to get the accurate pitch effects from another unit that is warmer,,,oh i had the digitech whammy again to much processing and tone stealing.
That bass guitar simulation was incredible. But the drop tuning guitar one wasn't and I assume thats because the pitch factor was after the distortion. But I would expect it to perform more ideally if it came before distortion as if simulating a dropped tuning correctly.
At around 4mins into the vid with the pitch shifts plus delay and feedback, that's the sound that made me think...Ooohhh.. I like that sound, I could use that !!
the second i heard about this thing, i was like NO FUCKIN WAY. i dont think people realize what this can do for them, the E3000 or whatever its called is way to fuckin pricy, but its AMAZING. this changes the game dude.
i think Gustavo Cerati uses that too for the song "Disco Eterno" with Soda Stereo.. se la rifa ese pedal! es el k usa Cerati con Soda en la rola "Disco Eterno"
@SmallFish616 i have the pitch factor and the tracking is horrible. get a digitech harmony man if you want that harmony sound. for the pitch flex sound get the morpheus droptune
this is literally the coolest guitar pedal I've ever heard. but there's no way in hell I'm paying anything over $200 for any pedal. not that it isn't worth it, it's just expensive.
damn this thing is great...if I can hook this up to my line 6 spider III i am a happy man....this thing is just amazing...no wonder John Petrucci uses this
I have a Boss SE-70 and if I had to chose, I would take the SE because if its many other quality effects in it. Eventode did it again, enginering every possible way to use pitch shifting and put it in a box. Supurb sound tho.
@SmallFish616 Some presets track good and some are strange. The Quadravox and Micro track excellent and that's all I care really. Pichflex tracks great, really can't mess that up much and it's probably the best Wammy pedal effect out there. I have some videos about settings and harmonies. I don't talk, just play and show you settings and use it like a real person would that isn't just farting around with presets with no goal to accomplish.
This sounds like absolute ass. The harmony man is just so much more focused. And it sounds better. Digitech is now at a different league in harmonizing.
Digital garbage...it makes everything sound cringe worthy. All tone is sucked out and reformulated into a wompywoozlenothingness in a sea of snapping turtles and plastic water bottles. Enjoy that
I love this pedal. Every solo I do now, I turn the harmonizer on, it's so much fun!
What a fantastic box. Damn, Eventide just keeps on bringing it. I wonder what is up their sleeves for the next release.
the intro almost scared my away, but then... I WANT THAT PEDAL
yep that was awful
Love my Timefactor, and this thing sounds awesome! Very impressive work by Eventide!
me and this little baby could have fun together everyday. awesome!
Excelent !!! What 's the expression pedal ?

can this pedal be Bypassed or Muted by MIDI only?
Do you know if this or the SE has a stereo doubling effect? I've heard some great doubled rhythms done with the old trusty but no mention on these.
@jflotrogdor I'm going to buy an eventide pedal
but i don't know if a must buy the pitchfactor or the timefactor
what do you recomend??
I know that the pitchfactor have delay
but I really don't know wich I must buy
any advice???
If I had the money, I would literally go out now and get it. Respect.
That wink at 3:35...
Can it play the harmonized pitch before I play the note instead of after?

does anyone know how much this costs in the UK? i'm seriously tempted
Im so gonna buy this..
can it remember a several of chords? and can i press trough the chords with the footswitches?
Great Demo, Tnx
delay harmonizer?
hey someone can tell me if this pedal can reproduce the classical "heaven" setting on the Eventide H3000 (used in steve vai's the riddle) ?
which one its better this one or the whammy of digitech
Who are you and what did you do to Paul? :OO
theoreticly you can use every instrument with a pickup on guitar hardware. if your acoustic have a pickup with standart cable plag you can use it.
Been wondering how Bradford cox (deer hunter // atlas sound ) was getting this sound
If I can get a really smooth octave effect, adding just a trace of delay on that could give me a fat jazz tone from my archtop.
can you get pog organ sounds from it?
i wanna hear harmonized distorted leads
I’ve watched a bunch of videos on this pedal and I can’t figure out what do with it
how is this with full chords
Me too. I've recorded a lot of stuff and went back over it, which was good practice, but I know some people that just use this (or the old trusty) and it actually sounds better. Even when they showed me tracks they dualed without it then with it, it was still better.
this pedal is sick!!
This thing would be so handy when recording dual leads

How many "voices" can you add?
the second i heard about this thing, i was like NO FUCKIN WAY. i dont think people realize what this can do for them, the E3000 or whatever its called is way to fuckin pricy, but its AMAZING. this changes the game dude.
For me, the sound from 3m26s is, if not priceless, worth a million pounds/dollars.
3m47s took me to an entirely different world.
I noticed it too. sounds very monophonic, like the Digitech Whammy.
This is waaay cool. Now I just need to win the lotto and I'll get all the gear I want.
i think Gustavo Cerati uses that too for the song "Disco Eterno" with Soda Stereo..
se la rifa ese pedal!
es el k usa Cerati con Soda en la rola "Disco Eterno"
man these guys gotta make a distortion pedal
@SmallFish616 i have the pitch factor and the tracking is horrible. get a digitech harmony man if you want that harmony sound. for the pitch flex sound get the morpheus droptune
Funny, I have a Boss harmonizer, and I think it sucks for everything except for a slight detuned chorus or an octave pedal.
Your not using the boss ps-6 correctly!
@theaxelofrose They're $400 on eBay but people are buying the $400 ones and jacking them up to 500 already.
@SmallFish616 Tracking is about delay.. a delay has been programmed into the machine.. you dont need to have that delay..
LOL! I I haven't heard the term "bogarting" in ages. My days of smoking weed are pretty much long gone, but I have no prob with others toking.
this is literally the coolest guitar pedal I've ever heard.
but there's no way in hell I'm paying anything over $200 for any pedal. not that it isn't worth it, it's just expensive.

Hologram Microcosm… 13 years ago?
my $50 behringer V-amp does all this except the chord recognition part.
I have a Boss SE-70 and if I had to chose, I would take the SE because if its many other quality effects in it. Eventode did it again, enginering every possible way to use pitch shifting and put it in a box. Supurb sound tho.
And your issue with that?
doesnt sound like it tracks well at all to me. correct me if im wrong.
i think people are confused.. pretty sure the digi whammy pedal doesn't do intelligent harmonies, neither would any $50 pedal from behringer.
Daniel Simon nope!
@SmallFish616 Some presets track good and some are strange. The Quadravox and Micro track excellent and that's all I care really. I prefer the more organic ethereal tones of Strymons pedals but Eventide does do some brilliant programming
Try the Space and you'll be amazed of how ethereal Eventides can get ;-)
Not to mention their rack FX, of course. But those are so expensive... Strymon are great pupils though
bogarting means holding it too long in rotation, not 'not sharing'. i.e. the way humphrey is always holding his smoke and talking and NOT smoking!
Wow...this thing is teh neatzorz
Nothing is upside down for me!
want one!!!!
but i dont have £450 for a pedal...
Wt sgoing on with utube ??
the intro was the coolest part
oo dang!!
6:40
it's got a tuner. there goes my pitch black
anyone ever ran a synth through one of these?
this video for some reason is upside down
who even art thou
Ahh paul is the best demo dude
@510danr
You say it sounds like shit?
I say cool story bro.
lol :D best quote !!!
My A.D.D wont allow me to get this...
this is badass but like totalrandomrequest it cost way too much!
Aha...this is how Vini Reilly does it.
The opening part is super awkward... Crystals isn't supposed to sound so bad. :(
Nice effect..but waaaay too expensive. I'll keep my Boss Harmonizer, it works GREAT as well and is far less than HALF the price.
This thing is seriously hard to use lol
this vid doesnt even compare to paul form guitar worlds no offense i love paul but this vid kicks ass!
everything is upside down!!!!
D:
This sounds like absolute ass. The harmony man is just so much more focused. And it sounds better. Digitech is now at a different league in harmonizing.
400 dollars? fuck that.
Sorry just sounds like gimmics not thst musical ?
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY
How can you fuck up tuning so badly with a huge LCD display? That B wasn't even close! Yeah, you know what OP is.....
yh lol utube is fuked up
this looks like a very fun toy... too bad its $500
One of the most awesome pedals, but $549..... no thank you...
This guy has taken far too much of whatever he takes.
worst demo ever???
it sounds like poop.
2 complicated, not enough instant gratification
It lags. This thing sucks.
Crap
toy
Digital garbage...it makes everything sound cringe worthy. All tone is sucked out and reformulated into a wompywoozlenothingness in a sea of snapping turtles and plastic water bottles. Enjoy that
