Warp is an alternative dimension existing in parallel to material world. On It's own It's neither good or evil. However there are a lot of daemons who'll be driven to unfortunate trespasser. There are bunch of characters who visited Warp and returned. It's possible to go there and survive for a time.
That flag part (at 18:18) I believe is a love note to the Crimson Fist chapter portrait of one of their heroic last stands. Also, Calgar is the Chapter master of the Ultramarines and also one that has been known to have done some pretty epic shit. Heck in lore Calgar with his big fists ripped the head of a "lord of skulls" demon engine all alone. And those are Imperial knight-sized tanks with chain-axes and screaming skull cannons.
This is the most fun Ive had in gaming in a very, very long time... Myself & a friend got stuck in a ruthless at launch with a bot & it was glorious. The bot ressed us 19 times bar the times we ressed each other. My smile was eternal
That's not entirely true,the Geller field helps protect you from getting attacked by daemons, but you are not automatically devoured without it. Orks travel through it as well. And it also encouraged a warband to travel without protection and weird boys to bait in Daemons to fight. So often Daemons learned to avoid them.
@@RvnWolf well you kinda contradicted yourself. Daemons will see your soul like a beacon and go after it the second you enter the warp, were you inevitably will get mauled by endless waves of them. Some times you can survive, but this place did not operate like the warp at all. The reason orks can do it is because the risk vs reward for the daemons. They don’t take that chance very often. There are even cases of chaos space marines getting attacked and having their souls stolen by daemons, that’s why lorgar had a geller field around his slave camp. Not just to protect the slaves, but also his men as when not fighting, daemons kinda just do what they want.
Wait until he realizes that Chairon is chronologically at least 10000 years old. Since the destruction of Calth happened that long ago during the Horus Heresy.
If I remember correctly, the Primaris variant Marines were in development, with many Marines already successfully transitioned through the Rubicon Surgery, prior to many of the events and ensuing histories of the Horus Heresy and the Post-Golden Throne Imperium. So, more than likely, Chairon is 10,000 years old, but he was taken out of stasis as Belasarius Cawl and Guilliman authorized the integration of the Primaris Marines who'd been waiting in reserve, hence why each founding Chapter and subsequent successor Chapters, all had swaths of Primaris Marines ready to go upon 10th Ed and the Lore building it up. If anything, Chairon was possibly there during the times of those Dark Days, but his Memory was wiped (alongside all the other Marines), so that the culture shock of 10 millennia dawning upon them upon resurrection would not so horridly effect their psyche.
I had SOOOOO MUCH FUN with this game. It's so good, all the way through. I had ONE time where my AI partners didn't rez me because we were all on different elevations in a map, but other than that, they murderalized everything just like I was doing. A+ game. FOR THE EMPERORRRRRRR!
If you’ve ever seen the movie “Event Horizon,” the Warp is sort of similar to how they travel through space in that movie. It’s like a portal through hell which allows you to travel more quickly through space. It is possibly for people to travel through jt with the right precautions, for instance; the Imperium uses something called “a Gellar field” on their ships to travel safely through it. If they don’t, humans will begin scratching their eyes out and demons will begin manifesting on their ship.
Personally, I think Titus' first game voice is fine. It gives him the aura of a respected calm calculating Captain befitting a space marine of the Ultramarines. It also gives him an air of superiority. If you don't know, a Captain is a big role. With Only the Chapter Master being the main big guy above them. New Titus' voice is fine. Definitely sells the Tortured screaming for 100 years bit.
15:10 nah bro Titus could hold his own from experience alone, on top of that he was remade to be a primaris, stronger, faster and more resilient than before, he was holding back for Gadriels sake, last thing he wants to do is take his brothers life because he fell prey to suspicion
Yeah man for me, Campaign and PVP are great. But I am hard stuck into the operations. Going through the progression, getting to higher difficulties, customizing your marine and unlocking new weapons and perks is so fun and endlessly replayable in my opinion. Sure there are only 6 ops right now, but they are adding more on the roadmap and the difficulties provide new challenges as you go. For example, substantial and ruthless introduce boss fights in the middle of levels. Which you'll be rewarded armory data for killing. It's just a lot of fun. And the skill ceiling is pretty high so you just keep getting better. I have 100+ hours in the game right now and maxed out 2 classes. And no sign of stopping anytime soon. I would highly recommend anyone to at least try it out.
and when you wanna feel like a total badass, you crank that difficulty back down and take your relic tier weapons and maxed out classes out for a good old tyranid beatdown. Something super satisfying about a relic tier melta on inferno while playing 1 or 2 level difficulty.
I love how SM2 is like a gateway drug to the larger universe for a lot of players one of my friends is diving head first into the lore now and he loves it.
I don’t know why everyone was so hung up on whether they were in the Warp. They were speculative about it being the Warp, not certain of it. Even Space Marines would be ignorant of the true extent of raw Warp exposure. Now if this were Grey Knights being like “is this the Warp, I can’t tell?” That would be kind of stupid.
Never be afraid to be new to warhammer 40k! Like any fanbase it has it's elitists but general A LOT of us LOVE to welcome new people to it. It's a ton of fun to get lost in! It's ok to be a noob, we all were at one point!
Actually feralles isn't dead they turned him into a dreadnaught. If you checked dialogues in mothership you could find out. But that dreadnaught isn't feralles his name is written on his fave( i couldn't remember the name but im pretty sure it was something else)
I heard there was a dev statement where they said Imurah created some kind of middle ground between the warp and reality to trap Calgar and the others. So it was some kind of in between. That way we could kind of go into the warp without breaking the lore. Also Games Workshop is super hard on about the IP staying true to lore. So I doubt Saber would have had the okay for that part of the game if it wasn't acceptable as cannon. Also the PCR music fits so well for the finale. Good shit man.
Cant wait for the Horde mode.. whish it was there since the get go or way earlier ngl. Besides that.. yeah the game can drag on a bit and is repetetive, sure. But its still quite fun and gives as u said back the xbox 360 vibes like from GoW. I dont need more than that. Once in the while a game like this is just awesome. Given is not live service and given it has no content and all forms of content are a year away I doubt it'll live long enough to see it thrive. The lack of content and the constant server issues that are not fixed almost a month after release just tells us that this game is already dead, heck it died in the first week.
Ultramarines did NOT bring the entire Legion they just brought a small chapter actually. And warp is just unexplainable you can die in an instant or survive for eternity. That's warp for you. Watch that movie called Event Horizon that's what would it be like if a ship went through Warp without protection fields. So glad about this game. Don't have the PC yet but I am sure more 40k game are on the way. There's a bunch of turn based and RTS already. We need more good FPS or 3rd person games. A big ass RPG game as a Rogue Trader would be great.
might i just say as a woman, space marine two was amasing ive been a long time fan of warhammer coming fromm a nerdy ass family and the vibes were perfect, the combat amazing and the visuals was amazinggggggg i love this game so much!!!! honest ly the whole shit abou apealing to gender is bulshit ist just apealing to certain intrests and people need to get theat through your head, i love playing as a big all powerfull weapon of war so i play space marine and some people like to play farming simulators bc they are calming after a long days work gendering things is dumb gendering games i dumb and keeps people from enjoying what they want to enjoy.
I will say, weapon upgrades and build crafting is increadibly mid and its also horrendously grindy. There are other games that do this system better so i am a bit spoiled in that department. It feels good to upgrade your weapon and such but then you kinda get pigenholed to use that gun and if you want to switch you need to lower the diffculty not only to have the privlige of upgrading it, but cause the weapon isn't nearly as capiable early on
I sadly won't be playing this game for some time cause of my computer and the lack of monetary stability, but when this game gets a discount, oh boy, my money is gone
Its pretty mid. Horrible bots that make singleplayer tedious and not much love to detail. Some backgrounds look pretty bad or that part with the Leman Russ not firing and watching you is straight up immersion breaking and stupid. Overall it was a dissapointment to me unless you only played online, so yeah another online-only game *sigh* and no its not fun to play singleplayer if the enemy AI focuses you only while the bots live on through 95% dmg resistance. Thats weak as a singleplayer and horrible on the ripper part since you have to kill rippers, kill all meele guys, kill all ranged guys, kill everything. Yourself. Man I miss games that were exceptional with no cut corners. And before someone says anything about the Leman Russ, yeah it fires at scripted spots and then uses HALF its guns its supposed to have for a few seconds. After that it goes back at staring lol, pretty sad since the model is superb. Vastly overhyped for not being woke but really not that special. Certainly doesn't live up to the depth and content we've got in "good old games" - peoples standards truly have dropped. Whelp, the grim dark future of live service games.

I like it that its not a disaster like Dark Souls 3 which has had no depth and was a downgrade mechanically. I enjoy that they brought some features back from Dark Souls 2 and when I played it a bunch it was fun although I didn't finished it yet. I got burned out at some point and I feel a linear game would have been better.

For the portal sections devs have stated its a pocket dimension not the warp itself. The warp would tear u apart instantly

I've been LOVING the game man and I definitely agree the game is a little repetitive at this point
